In The Nest is a feature length documentary about Kenyan children with imprisoned mothers and the German woman who takes them under her wing. The Nest, located in Limuru, Kenya, is a home she created, dedicated to the care and safety of these children. The program works closely with the Kenyan Children's Court to prevent them from fighting for survival on the streets. The Nest provides shelter and education for kids during the imprisonment of their mothers. They rehabilitate and later integrate them and their released mothers with their extended families and society at large.
This documentary captures the human story of separation, support and survival.
