A lot of products here are jamaican bahamian. Some people have their negative views of the Bahamas but as a jamaican living in the Bahamas am doing good with the Bahamians. Its just how you as a person present yourself to others.
Exactly… it’s how you present yourselves to people. I feel like the ones who have something bad to say are the ones who walk with arrogance and inflated national pride which none likes. So they probably get treated according to how they act.
I'm Jamaican. I lived in Freeport from age 14 to 19. I went to Hawksbill High which no longer exist. I visited Nassau. I love conch salad, crack conch but not conch chowder. I love Junkanoo and Goombay. I miss Freeport
I truly enjoyed this interview. As a Bahamian, I loved that you feel welcomed and have really truly immersed yourself in the culture and the people. Such a lovely spirit. 🇧🇸❤️🇯🇲
I love his interview. I am a Bahamian. My best memories of teachers were Jamaicans:Mrs. Turnquest, Ms Champanie, Ms Hylton, Ms Wilson. Very knowledgeable and worked hard with you for the GCE exams. Listening to this teacher brought back a lot of memories. But I think Bahamians love Jamaican music more than ny other music, besides from the Junkanoo. Great interview. Very truthful
I'm a Jamaican working and a residing in the Bahamas. I love junkanoo. My favourite group da valley boys. Would you believe me I learn how paste costumes. I love their culture. The food, the beach man it's beautiful here.
Wonderful interview! I am a Bahamian and I love my Caribbean brothers and sisters. I went to Jamaica and was amazed at the mountains! Definitely want to go back! I love Jamaican food ❤ AGREED NO PLACE LIKE HOME!
Love Your Show. Mrs. Walker is a beautiful soul, I love the way she repersented our beautiful country the Bahamas. She is a great inspration to many and the sunny side to the down side in Grand Bahama. The encomy here had been down for 15 or more years. Thanks to the goverments we empower and the hurricanes that has hit Grand Bahama for the past years. Having a Jamacian Bahamian society like she spoke about to help bring both cultures together would be a plus for this island. Like dhe mentioned we have 2 well known Jamacian resturants

Am a Bahamian with a Jamaican mother and Bahamian father. So I have the two sides of culture. I've been to Jamaica couple times when I was younger, I am going to take a trip to my cousins in Portland.
Great interview 👍 I love Cavel's infectious smile and her "wahgwan" ❤️ I love how she loves Bahamas and love Jamaica more ❤️ 🇯🇲❤️ One love beautiful lady ❤️
The Bahamas is very much under rated...they have lot to offer but they don't brag about their talent and unique culture...our beauty is mainly in our waters
Great interview as usual Xavier. I found myself smiling with Cavel from start to finish. That radiant smile warms the soul. Thank you for being a great ambassador for our beautiful Jamaica. Keep smiling….

This lady gives such a powerful and sincere outlook of the bahamas "A jamacian living in the bahamas" i as a bahamian by birth would welcome her into our citizenry without hesitation.
Amazing Interview, very illustrated and informative. Mrs. Walker has a wealth of knowledge about our Beautiful Country, The Bahamas. She needs to work for the Ministry of Tourism.
I do agree with u @ Life with Stefka she would do great in the ministry of Tourism Her interview was on point ... Do forget we are one people .... my teacher was from Jamaica 🇯🇲 name was Mr. Thomas .. great teachers and nurses are from Jamaica one love ❤️
I'm a Bahamian. in the 1970s when i was in high school here on one of the family islands one of my teachers was Mr. Forrest from Jamaica. He was the best / nicest teacher I ever had. He and his wife were very nice and an asset to our small island.
I am a Bahamian and thoroughly enjoyed this video . The host is always entertaining and the lady was informative and honest. We really do love Reggae music and Jamaican food and have great friendships with the Jamaicans who live here. I'm also proud of my Jamaican roots as my maternal great grandmother was from Jamaica.
She seems to be a great teacher love her interview and her positive vibes we surely needs to keep her here in the Bahamas great cavel we love you being here.
An excellent interview Ms. Walker did a fantastic job .. I have worked with some very good Jamaican teachers who love our students and encourage them to perform well
As a Bahamian, I thoroughly enjoyed this. I must say, she is perhaps more knowledgeable about The Bahamas than most Bahamians are. And I’m glad she feels the warmth and hospitality of the Bahamian people. We love our fellow Caribbean brothers and sisters.
I am a Bahamian from Grand Bahama ! My mom is Jamaican and my dad is Bahamian. We have been to Jamaica soo many time I am inlove with Jamaica. Love to hear the great reviews about the country. Freeport is a slow laid back place with little to no economy to me personally reason why I left to Canada ! Hope you do continue to enjoy your life there.
Great interview with your guest Cavel and quite informative. I visited multiple times and enjoyed Nassau and Paradise island. Would love to visit some of the other islands or cays.
Madam Cavel simply marvellous sweet and charismatic. So nice looking forward to Bahamas on holidays for a while. You do turn heads. Bigup Honourable Mr Xvier for a wonderful interview.
I really enjoyed watching this interview ☺ so happy it just popped up on my page. I miss Jamaica so much😭 I love the Bahamas. I have been living here for 20 years, but still there is no place like home!!!
Great interview Cavel. Having had the chance of interacting with you some years ago in Clarendon, Jamaica, I'm not disappointed because I'm acquainted with your capacity. YOU HAVE REPRESENTED JAMAICA WELL🌺🌺
Couch is a Bahamian thing and there is no one in what you guys call the Caribbean can cook couch like Bahamians that's our food. Just like curry and oxtail is a Jamaican thing. Thank you have done a terrific job on this interview. It is better in the Bahamas. My country has people from every country but, my Bahamian people don't live in everyone's country . The one place they live out of their Bahamian country is the USA. Maybe that's what She is seeing now but Bahamians do go into teaching. Nonetheless the Bahamian government do recruit teachers from different countries. Bahamians have career as teachers, nurses ,doctors, lawyers etc. It's just that the government extends the olive branch to other countries. That's just how kind, friendly, and compassionate my government and my people are. Again thank you for such a great interview about my beautiful country.
Very good interview.its been my second home for 36 years. I love that it was close to home. I enjoyed my time there but my last years were marked by discrimination and lies by one principal. I know more islands tban the average Bahamian. There is also an underlying culture of discrimination though that this teacher does'nt mention. But I love the Bahamas, overall though I was treated badly in my last years. Cost of living very high.
Absolutely love the 242 area code😊. Vacationed in Nassau Paradise Island for my 40th birthday. I only liked Conch Fritters , not any other way. Spent a day at the Atlantis as my hotel was close by.
Finally I get to see the person behind the name, I often get stop in the street and asked if my aunt or sister or mother teaches and I say no and they say well I use to have this teacher name miss walker and she look just like you. Or she sounds like you..... and my name is Walker so they were convinced I have a relative I dnt know...... Mrs Walker I will be in Freeport I would love to meet you
I am just finding out about your channell. I am likeing what i have seen so far, i thoroughly enjoyed this light hearted interview. I did show some love and subscribe. "Show sum luv nuh" 😍😍
As a born and raised (and still living) Grand Bahamian, I love this interview and appreciate her views on the Bahamas and the Islands she lived and visited. She has excellent view on who we are as Bahamians. But I must say as a older (in my mid 40's) Bahamian, hip hop will never be more loved than Reggae music!!
