Johnny Vaughan did, when he became the Uk's highest paid TV star, and attempted to break into sitcoms. Even when the critics savaged ''Orrible', they praised Grover for his performance, and berated Vaughan even more, for wasting his talents.
I met him about ten years ago (I was playing in Bad Manners would you believe?😆) and he turned up to a gig to interview Buster about obesity, he was filming for a section of Trevor McDonalds programme, forget the name. One of those probing report things. Mentioned that I had a small group of friends who are obsessed with this footage, we usually tell each other to 'go back to the sand' if one of us requires a put down. He was really chuffed, such a sweet fella.
Hi John, I was wondering if you could possibly send me an email on - channel8t8@gmail.com I'd love to talk to you about the footage from the episode of Comedy Nation of Bulla & Parky. We just uploaded an episode on our channel too.
He could have been another here today, gone tomorrow stand-up but he created and developed the Bulla character to make it truly his own. “I’m a lovely guy …”
There’s only one Bulla!!! 😮.. if your wise.. you won’t mess with him..he’ll help an old lady cross the road.. he’s kind to his mum..😊… but when he loses it..Zoom Zoom.. a left and a right.. and it’s good night!!!..Hell have a whisper in your ear!! @@JohnDoe-dx7bu it was on the television show that Alan Davies did called ‘As Yet Untitled’ where Josh was a guest. Haven’t found a link yet but I’ll post one if I do.
Hi Steven, sorry it’s just lazy editing, I did it on my dvd recorded I think, straight off the vhs then copied it on my laptop using MPEG Squareclip, could have been a bit smoother but couldn’t be bothered, I’m not a professional AV technician, just a sax player! 😅
This interview, I'm sure most of it was ad-libbed, it could have been alot longer too. Ricky and MP could have got a good 30 mins from this. Shame it didn't pan out this way.😢
I was going to share this and for a laugh say it was my favourite Parkinson interview. But then for some reason it has these stupid interruptions in it of clips not remotely connected to it???
Hello. I’m the person who posted this video, so I might offer an explanation if I may? These clips are edited down from an episode of a show called ‘Comedy Nation’ which wasn’t great, despite featuring some great actors such as Ricky, Tracy Ann Oberman, etc. I didn’t bother trimming the clips preceding or after the Bulla segments to make sure I definitely didn’t lose any of Ricky’s work. Plus it serves as a reminder of the superiority of his sketches over the rest of the show, including the very early example of Mitchell & Webb at the end, who, as I’m sure we all know, upped their game after this to become amongst the countries top comedy writer/performer teams. I’m not here to entertain, this is pure documentation of a piece of very underrated work.
It sure is a gem. Ricky Grover is such an under-rated comedian! Thanks for sharing 😂
This character was and is genius. Wish someone had taken a proper chance on Grover as I love him to bits.
BigSeany1979 he’s just been on radio London. Trying to find his new UA-cam Bulla channel.
Big fat gypsy Gangster
I watch this at least once a week, great character, a lovely guy too.

That Mitchell and Webb bit was so like Fry and Laurie that it must have been a tribute.
He reminds me of Ray winstone in nil by mouth
Brilliant man. Love and peace ✌🇬🇧🏳️🌈🏴✌🙏
Ricky is a TOPMAN!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Canning Town's finest...he knew all the faces..Bill the Bomb etc
Saying that's me and love ya all the time is spot on with these supposed hard nuts
Pair of diamonds.
Nice video mate, I've never seen that before...that was a young Michell and Webb.
Ricky is a true star
He's a nice guy, but very, very naughty.
Psionikman 😆👍 'I need this! I said no screws'
I say, to me, send Lionel Blair over there!

Knew Ricky from the Tom Allen days.
Why do random scenes from another program keep cutting in?
Because it was a bbc 2 sketch show and the whole bulla interview was chopped up into 1.5 or 2 minute section over a 30 min episode
And as Adz mentions, those bits are from the same show. I’d like to think the whole programme was dedicated to Bulla sketches but alas they aren’t.
@@johnoneill5884 Do you know who the girl with the tight curly hair is? And what was the sketch show?
I’ll answer my own question … it is Tracy Ann Oberman and the show is Comedy Nation.
