- If it fits your case of course. Let's take a look at this dual tower CPU cooler, see if it delivers on the new design, and investigate how it differs from the already excellent Fuma 2.

Memory clearance is king. Well done Scythe. Would probably swap the front fan for an NF-A12x15 Chromax. Fuma 2 still happily chugging along on a 13600K.
Fuma 3 is a beast of a cooler for it's size. I ordered one to try out and really great performance.
Nr200 + scythe fuma = super combo
Fuma is the sole dual tower that I’ve seen that provides full ram clearance without moving the front fan and my favourite design.
Ah man, can't believe it's bigger! Don't understand how the specs can vary so much from the advertised height (or at all!) Was eyeing this up for an NR200p build
I'm not even in the market for a CPU cooler but I'm going to watch regardless as I find your channel to be superb, plus your voice is soothing hehe.
I use the Scythe Ninja 5 on my NR200 fits and the cooling is great and its super quiet. Interested in looking at a comparison between this 2 coolers
ninja has good radiator , just change the fans for Noctua A12x25 or arctic P12 and you will get good performance bump :D
"Wind demon" 😂 You got my attention with that thumbnail caption! 😄
Congrats on your upcoming Q&A that just got announced on the sff discord
I can only sub once but love the SFF focus and keep it up man. Great stuff for the SFF community here.
I love these cheaper high performong coolers that are giving Noctua heads something to think about. The U12A to me is still the go too for sff because of its smaller size with 140mm performance but if you have the clearance then there is not question where the real price to performance value is.
Yeah, noctua really need a refresh at this point, everyone caught up for half the price
Good, honest review.
Looks like a good cooler, but I'm more impressed with the U12S here. It's a single tower, has one less fan (I assume) and with a ~500rpm speedup it manages to outrun the Fuma by 4 degrees? They even cost almost the same! Obviously, RAM compatibility is in a different category on a single tower too. I'd like to see noise-normalised comparison of those two and other coolers in this bracket. Nice video!
i think what was mentioned here is the noctua u12a and not the u12s. the u12a is 129 dollars compared to 50 dollars for the fuma 3.
wrong cooler.
this was a great review, thanks
This is about the meshilicious, do you think the kraken elite 280 pump will fit with the stand-off mod? Great video, cheers!
Great review as always but the out of spec real height is disappointing. Will you review the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE? It’s probably the highest performing air cooler for the NR200.
So strange that this thing don't fit in the nr200, my thermalright FC140 fits perfect on it with 2 120mm fans, a bit chunky but fits...
Because of the performance and clearances i as thinking of switching to it but guess not!
It’s mainly the new width of that rear facing tower. 156.5mm height could in theory be OK (I mean the U12A usually fits for me) but I think when the back brace pushes it out it gets a tad taller.
That's what I have with my 13600k. Seems like a solid combo
Did you test it on a bench or an case that actually fits it?
Great video, as always. Just one question: (do you think)/(did you check whether) it's possible to clip in the NR200 side panel after removing the top heat pipe cover? Or there's still that same interference? Thanks!
I'm being super specific and invested in this cooler because cooler availability here in brazil is simply terrible. Most other options I read are either super expensive or never actually come here. I could buy a Mugen 5 or a DeepCool AK620 right now, but both are sitting at the same price as Fuma 3, that just launched. I'd love your input, if it's not a bother.
Thank you! Your videos *rock!*
Do you plan on reviewing Thermalright's new v2 coolers with the dual fans like the Assassin Spirit V2 Plus
Thanks for the video! How does the Fuma 3 compare to Mugen 5 Rev.C? I’m running a 7900x on 105w eco mode and -20 curve optimizer.
Sure- it’ll likely be 2 or so degrees better at the same noise level.
-Barely outperforms the Fuma 2 at high speeds, higher fin density means it will likely have worse performance at lower speeds
-Compatibility is a side grade
-Cheaper
Overall a sidegrade it seems.
Yes, this is definitely a cooler that will excel at moderate fan speeds since low fan speeds will go nowhere.
Great price and review.
Been waiting for this
Hopefully they'll fix these nr200 fit issues with a Rev.B
I sold my nr200 with a ventroo v5 5600 because i couldn't get a fuma2 Rev b for months to pair it with a 5800x3d. Now i am on a terra.
are you using stock cpu settings? I wanted to get an air cooler for my 5800x instead of using aio cause it takes up so much space and its even maxing out heat wise with the 240mm aio.
For thermal tests I control by locking voltage and clocks to the higher end of typical all-core boost clocks. Have you tried curve optimizer and/or pbo power limits? Setting a PPT limit of 110W could result in great thermals with a minimal performance hit.
@@MachinesMore I'll give it a shot thanks!
is this available in white color variant it might be more beautiful
Between the Fuma 3 and the P240 Flux from Cooler Master, which would you choose ?
I mean i got the FUMA 3 and it is cooling a 14700k doing streaming and rendering videos. 14700k runs hot but so far so good. Cools much better than the Noctua NH-D15
sadly it's not available in central Europe, I still have Scythe Ninja III tho
How does it fare against the phantom spirit from thermalright?
I wish there was even a single dual tower cooler that's 140mm or lower in height, my ek aio pump makes weird bubbling noises and will likely have to get replaced at some point. Kinda wanna go back to aircooling but my protolyth slate won't take more than 140mm of CPU cooler height 😢
How tall is Noctua u12a? Expensive but they are supposed to perform like a 140 but in 120mm size. Water cooling to me is overrated marketing bs.
This bad boy cooling my 5900x as we speak.
Waiting for the Black or White version 😴
I loved my fuma 2 and just bought 2x fuma 3's. ill be using one on a 5600x and one on a 5800x3d :)
Hey, could youl tell me how fuma 3 works on your 5800x3d?
@@mihairazvanmocanu9727 It's is doing great, i haven't let it sit under load in a hot room yet (100+ degree summers here) but so far so good It is noticeably heavier then the fuma 2 . Overall I'm happy with it
Is it good for 5800X3D?
@@janso. both pc's are staying very cool, with the 5800x3d I set a higher fan curve and the case arguable has better airflow but yes love the cooler
My computer has a Fuma 2, my first son computer too, my second son has a Fuma 3 😁
can this cool a 14700kf?
Did you get feedback on the height of your cooler being higher than advertised?
Nope. I’ve only seen one Fuma 3 but even if the others were 154mm I wouldn’t feel comfortable with a variance either. It is what it is, not everyone is constrained to that height bracket, I just happen to test in a case where this is make or break 🫤
Does does it in the NR200 without the top cover?
@@ronalcasid3844yes i removd top cover , nr200p fit success. 13700k + z690i unify + side mesh panels
Thanks for the work! I still prefer the exhaust direction for dust reason. I was considering replacing my C14S in the NR200 with this, but I’ll stick with it.
I did also test in rear exhaust, but the results for rear intake are presented for consistency against other tests. Rear exhaust was very slightly worse (within the realm of test variance though).
Dust filters. They exist.
Scythe Mugen 6 is the same height as the Fuma 3 and performs a hair better .. but could be better because fan speed is better on Mugen 6 that is 2000
At last!
Still can't beat the new Thermalright model that came out.
Which one?
@@thenetpagan Probably Phantom Spirit SE
@@thenetpaganps120
It does Not Exist. Find me one. Romania.@@ryanlemieux3323
Bruh... Did I just literally watch through half this video to learn it doesn't fit in the NR200?!???????!!
Shame it doesn't fit
