The gondola run from 8-5 with all the lifts open from 9-4. My tip would be to get there at 8 30 (typically a less than 5 minute wait at this time, even on peak days like Easter) with a day bag, go to one of the day lodges and change into your boots and ski gear on the mountain, and you'll be ready to go right as the lifts open, and before the crowds get up the gondola.
Woohoo! I really want to go visit there some day -- that view out of the Boundary Bowl is specular! Maybe just towards the end of the season when it's not so cold -- and even then, I still might have to get some of those mittens from the sponsor!
The reason people ride the village first thing in the morning and goats eye in the afternoon is because goats eye is always an ice cube in morning unless there was a dump of snow the night before😉
One step ahead of you.. we've got our trip planned and the Insider's Guide scheduled (although, given that we plan everything about a year in advance, it's not going to be until August of next year)
wow amazing video. can’t wait to watch part 2. Heading there this week
Fantastic video, thank you!

Sierra at tahoe just joined the Ikon Pass! You should do an insiders guide for them because more people will go there.
