This is very extraordinary because this show is approximately 32 years old, and today in 2020 there is STILL that toxic gap between so-called experts on television stating this “boy needs love” and ”be tough and tell them to leave” etc, and the ‘culprit’ actually receiving that proper personalised advice. I’m talking about the United Kingdom but imagine it’s the same in America, there are always phone numbers to call, people to speak to who say they understand, but the actual reality is that the full treatment is rare, and if found is only available for somebody with £/$1million who can afford the top medication on a permanent basis and/or are able to move 1000 miles min for the best treatment program possible - which will cost the same fortune.
Problem is, 28 is not a "boy". He hadn't been a boy for 10 years by this point but society says we should coddle & make excuses for bad behavior by our sons & grandsons, whether it's pulling a girl's ponytail in kindergarten to show he likes her or raping a drunk college co-ed because she was "clearly asking for it" by coming to his room. By the time they reach the point of Brian Laundrie or O.J. Simpson, people act shocked. Don't be. This behavior doesn't come out of nowhere.
My 12 y/o son sprained my arm. And another time when he was 14, he came home from school (he and his little gf had played hookie, I found out later) with a hickey on his neck. I was trying to talk to him on the dangers of unprotected sex and he turned to walk away from me. I took his arm, TRYING TO REMAIN PATIENT and said, "Now boy don't walk away from me" and he spun around and shoved me into the wall real hard & I caught myself but almost fell. His dad was a wifebeater and total misogynist so women who are battered & have sons, are just raising future wifebeaters. Any child that is going to beat up their own mommy, IS GONNA beat his wife!
Where is your proof?? Don’t forget he complained about Donald Trump not wanting the illegal Mexican immigrants into America so I reckon Rivera has many millions of enemies by now.
Not excusing the actions at all. But ..there are often 2 sides to a story. My brother developed Schizophrenia, and was skirting the line...of this type of.behaviour, im horrified to say. But...i can literally count on the fingers of 1 hand the words.dad said to him while he was growing up. 😮😢
The audio is low
This is from January or early February 1988 given the Fri Feb 12 date in the Magic Kingdom on Ice tour ad.
I think it's from 1986, judging from the year stamp on the double chex commercial at 10:52
@@theKevronHarris Feb 12 was on a Friday in 1988, and the Geraldo talk show bowed in Sep 1987
