I've got to say, saying the exact amount that you made in the first 15 seconds of the video makes this one of the best "making money" videos I've ever seen. For that reason alone, I watched the entire video!
That description of what ai does to create art is an illogical argument for what it creates not being art.
All artists use that same process via different methods to learn what art concepts are and develop their particular styles.
They both start out as a blank slate with no awareness of art or what it means. Then perceive data to define these ideas. Then develop methods to implement said ideas.
Complete agree.
@@OneSeasonMan We all have egos, and we all panic if our income source is threatened. I'm currently using AI generated art myself, but I think it isn't rational to just dismiss every concern artists have about AI generated art.
@@flickwtchr I would be more willing to hear them out if they would stop lying about how AI programs learn and function. Even after being told how it actually works they continue to repeat what they were just told is incorrect. And then there have been death threats sent to people making AI-generated or AI-assisted works.
Hard to care what a community like that has to say anymore.
@@prettyevil6662000 I'm an artist myself and I do use A.I. to help me come up with ideas, but let's have a conversation.
People who go after and send death threats to people making AI-generated or AI-assisted works are the toxic and bad side of the community. Every community has such a side. A lot of us artists freak out because we now assume the worst. For example: “I'll never get a job, A.I. will just do what I can but better.”, “Why should I learn art now, there is a machine that can do it already.”, “I studied for so long to be where I am now, and now there is something can then replace me.”, “There is no reason to pursue art anymore.”
This is what I hear a lot, all the time. We are scared we won't be needed. We are scared we wasted our time with this dream of being an artist.
Like I said, I use A.I. to help me with ideas, and some artists I saw who use it as inspiration, or to get references. I have aphantasia, so having something to help me speed up my planning process is good. However, not everyone has that mindset, and it will take a long time for artists to accept sudden change.
I remember in the good old days (like a decade or longer now) artists were scared of Digital art. They were saying “It's cheating”, that “it's not real art”, “the computer does it for you”. There still are people who say that after so long. The same thing is happening now
I hope this helps you understand better some of these fears artists have :D

Love that you talk about the ethics of AI art.
I do remember how midjourney results used to be 3 months ago, but now... bro, It's insane, i went to my gallery, and copyed the promps of images I generated months ago and generated them now, and i have to say, the detail evolved like 1000%, midjourney It's simply outsanding now
I just started playing around with midjourney and leonardo ai. I suck at both and still get some decent results. I have zero talent to put my ideas in paper, so seeing something similar to what I have in mind is actually fascinating.
I'm happy you get to experience that.
You are so underrated it’s crazy. Top notch content 🎉
I'm a traditional artist and I love AI art. It has made me even more creative and I have even used a few of my AI creations as reference for a painting, so there is an original. This helps me tap into a buyers market that doesn't care about buying originals, they just want something pretty for their wall and I'm not so salty about people devaluing something that took me 50 hours to make. To me, AI art is like the paint pour/fluid art craze. Sure, anyone can do it. And most of it looks all the same but an artist's paint pour will usually turn out more consistent and better results.
You are talking to an AI bro, who is sprobably stilling art, like most people who are a fan of AI generated art. Look he even have the nervs and the face to sell those in a site created for artists, and is proud about bringa a fraud.
It's literary stolen art of other people. From Artstation. It mesh a few artworks together and applies that ugly filter, so it doesn't look like the original. They have these stolen Artworks in their database and are actively using it. And they are not transparent about it... (there were literary artists signatures on AI generated art)
They are making similar thing with music, except they were afraid of courts and law, so they only trained that AI on copyright free materials. But with paintings, they don't care... They want to abuse artists and make moneys of it.
@@xKessa That is not how current AI models work. You're just displaying your lack of knowledge about the technology while lying about it to stoke fears.

I respect the hustle on this video! Great job!
Ive been dreading AI making people less interested in learning about art, so its nice to see that immersing yourself in it has brought you more appreciation for art instead.
Which doesn't really make sense. When you have a powerful tool that can make amazing art so easily, it's obvious you'd learn more to get the best results it can give
It's definitely made me more interested in learning about it!
AI artist, to create my art style I had to study art history, color theory, photography, light properties, prospectives, even video game graphics...
To proper AI artists art studies are even more important than to normal artists because we need to know a damn lot of terms to create images as you want otherwise the platform just create generic mediocre art without any direction
FYI: midjourney is $30 per month for unlimited use.
you are really good at ai art!
Ya’ll dont even know the true potential of this. There are people on there selling 60 USD per package basic. Hes making 30-50 orders per day. Imagine how much that is in a day.
I can't think of this of a idea where you use AI art to save half of the money and have the artist or Photoshop user to touch up the certain part of the AI art that looks bad and turn it into amazing art,
So it's basically combining AI, art and human art to make it more organic and not just only made AI look alike
If used as a tool utilizing human creativity, I feel AI generation is still original art. Give five creative minds a pencil and you get five different expressions, same as utilizing technology. I use and appreciate both
Well done!! brave man and thanks for sharing 👍
I’m an artist. I don’t have a problem with AI art. Technology is supposed to make our lives easier. Art requires both skill and vision. Anyone can develop skill but the core component to art is vision. This tool allows people who have vision to create art without having to go through the exhaustive process of developing skill and it allows artists to generate art faster. Artists aren’t going away because of AI. A human mind is still the only thing we know of that can recognize beauty. I generate 1000s of images with mid journey to come up with one that I consider art. This will change the process of art but it won’t make artists obsolete. Some of the images you showed were great and you had to have an artist’s eye to create them.
Wow, I am really touched to read this. Thank you!
EXACTLY. You are a real artist, just wannabe artist say AI art is not art.
I never thought about it like this - but its so true - It brings to mind the philosophical question of what is art at its deepest levels - Where does it come from? The hand or the mind? - Thank you for this insight.
My sentiments exactly. I love to draw, paint and create but it's so time consuming and all my time is spent working to pay the bills. Midjourney has opened up an entirely new world for me and been posting all the weird crap I make on twitter. It's been a fun few months and I can't /imagine stopping anytime soon.

@@redfolgers2233 When you can tell good art from bad you'll begin to be an artist; but you'll need to study it for a few years before that happens. Without understanding art principles you'll never come anywhere close to being an artist. Artists are light years ahead of you at producing quality art with Midjourney.
Hi, I didn't get how did you manage to match the style after photoshopping the images... how did you clean up the result?... did you use nightcafe?
Nice video, by the way
Good on you Glibatree ! I am an artist trained in life drawing, painting, and art history, and I think that there is far more to art than the manual skills we have learned. A knowledge of art history and philosophy, an understanding of composition and design principles and the trained eye that many years of living in the world of art also make us artists, and that is why we are just way better at creating art with this tool than a non-artist is, too. No artist worth their salt should be afraid of MidJourney, on the contrary we should view it as gaining a superpower!
100% agree. The irony is that the AI learns the exact same way that EVERY artist does - by looking at lots, and lots, and lots of art. - Most of which not only goes uncredited but the artist is not even aware of its influence. We are all the product of the content we take in. And our output is the product of the unique way we put together the input we have experienced.
@@BetsyTumaCreates I've been trying to tell people that myself. It's quite funny how people think all their ideas are so unique, when in fact that's impossible.

Hello i am from brazil and ai generated art will make a new world keep going with your video please, thank you so much
as an artist (loosely), I view the whole argument of 'AI is not real art', ....... I 'find' that argument to be silly. They say that the images are copied from somebody else's work. I think all art is like that. From a philosophical POV, we all take images, parts, concepts, styles that had fist belonged to someone else. Picaso was abstract, expressionism, cubism, renaissance, etc etc etc. Our eyes picked up information, our brains stored it, then we put those images to work in our minds to create similar images, concepts, ideas and so forth. AI just does the same thing. Takes information that it has gathered and then uses it to piece together an image. Same thing. So ART is really up to the creator. I have seen a picture of a crucifix in a jar of urine and that was called ART. I can do that. I can also do something as equally silly or more absurd and call it, ART. Bansky makes images, sells them then destroys them and the world calls that ART. So my view is that if you did it, you can call it ART.
AI does nothing until you feed it information. Coming up with that information is hard. I sometimes spend hours trying to get the AI to understand my instructions. I get an idea in my head of what I want to use the AI to create then I have to come up with a way to put that into a prompt that the AI can understand. Then I have to generate and re-generate and reword, or arrange my words differently then try again. In the end I get my image. That image nobody else came up with but me. I did the work of using the tool and the product is my creation.
Now the law says that you cannot call a work done by someone else your own unless you changed their image ....... I think it is 30 or 40 percent? It is at that point the work becomes yours and you can copyright it as your own and sell it without having committed a crime of infraction. Currently the copyright office does not consider AI generated images to be anything so you can't copyright it and anybody can use it. But....that is just for now. Give it time, they'll come around eventually.
Now lately, I have been taking my own, homegrown, art and feeding that through AI to come up with a fresher work based on my original creation. Some of them have been so fun and wonderful. Others....not so much. But I don't care. I'm not the type of 'artist' that creates work to sell and make money. I don't have to do that at this point in my life. It is all just another hobby. I call it ART.
im trying the excact same thing but i think fiverr change the minimen price to 15 dollar really want to sell it for 5 dollars to get a better chance at selling it.
this sure was interesting
I paint and illustrate and I’m subscribe in art selling website. But a lot of the artwork I see there is very complicated which means they r selling AI art. So honestly I will do that too, of course with modifications .

Excellent idea, I've seen several artists easily improve on AI art with their own paintovers and stuff, the results are quite stunning oftentimes, and I've heard one or two artists actually excited to have yet another tool in their arsenal with which to create.
I am sorry for the artists, but there is basically no one that can paint what AI paint.

how i send u pic by hand made?
So you know how facial recognition works it's basically doing that and notes what's in an image based on all its images it's been trained on it's then able to send this to basically an artist program and it generates a noise and then a separate program says no I didn't identify those objects in the picture please send it back and it does that over and over again until it starts to generate things that it can detect the third program is trained off of the other program to better separate the knowledge of the original art identifier not trained to recreate those images but has trained to create images based on the recognition of other images the better the program does the more reward the system gets and then the next one is trained we're working on the scale of almost trillions of parameters similar to how a human brain works each parameters like a neuron once it fires it's a recognition of a moment or stored data and it can interact with other neurons 3D space computing spider-webbing I don't know the official term for it so that's what I'm going to name it when you imagine an image that you're about to draw or you see an image that you want to draw it's very similar to how the system works your brains are based on everything you've seen in your life what things are memorable in your life the difference here is that you have to create the image from scratch the computer's directly connected I think the best way to put it is the computer's dreaming
Selling works that are arguably more detailed but created by AI for cheaper exacerbates the problem of people expecting the Mona Lisa for five bucks. If you are someone paying 5 dollars for art it should look cheap and quickly thrown together because 5 dollars for an artists time is extremely low balling as is. Why train consumers to expect high quality art for the same price as low quality art by using AI which the customer wont know didn't take you much effort or time to create?

I always loved creating websites for myself but always had a problem that I couldn't find beautiful images without copyright. Now I can generate them myself. Every person should have the right to music, to art, to dance etc. This is what true democracy should be about, art accessible to everyone regardless financial status. AI art is empowering people, everyone in the same way, artists and non-artists alike. Like John Lenon said: "Every child is an artist, until they are told they are not." Commercializing AI art is ok because there is always the option to not buy it and generate it oneself. I firmly believe that "Those who are threatened by the freedom of choice are tyrants." We are living in an era where copyright is necessary for small artists to protect their work, however big corporations abuse it to earn massive amounts of money. Take the music industry. AI is paving the way for a future of humanity where money is not a problem, where there is a basic salary for everyone withoit having to be forced to work. For a society where the struggle for survival will no longer be necessary, as the struggle for power will be diminished. AI art could be the doorway to a true open-source enlightened society.

First don't be like this guy. Second try to learn how to draw.
bro is that Shawn lane in the back?
lol, if you were right I would have been so impressed
What is the 2:34 ai website's name anyways ?
That's AI Art Studio within Voyage, one of Latitudes products. Same devs as AI Dungeon.
I used Ai generated art to help me construct my book cover for a fraction of the price it would cost to hire a professional. I also photobashed the results and learned new skills in the process all because I was broke and learned about ai art. I got what I needed and learned a new craft in the process. In short I love ai art. Ai art is art! And it's also addictive lol
@AlienGirl I know, but I can still do something about it
@AlienGirl spreading awersness about the dangers of AI art generates, and bulling an audienc as an artist.

Ai Arts for sale by me
I will never grasp why people hate AI art so much xD
As for me, I could never afford to commission a human artist anyway, if I could even find one that could manage to draw what I want, and it just so happens to be thousands of times cheaper and faster to use AI. So, thankfully AI art is here and here to stay. The whole thing feels like automobiles replacing horses to me, except for the fact that plenty of great artists will continue to make great art for their fanbases and hopefully prosper, while the average joe will now be able to make a cool image without spending a decade learning how to draw or breaking the bank.
I see you only listen to AI bros (people who are really into AI genereted art), insted of artists. So as an artist let me explain it to you. First capitalism. Do you seriusly think companies would consider to hier, and pay for artists's work when there is AI? No. They will not. There was even a video made by an artist, talking about art releted fields that you should go to because of AI art genereters. The video was made by mewTripled. AI art genereters use artists work withouth promission, there was already an artist who's work was stollen this way. And it often used to undermine the works, and skills of artists. For exemple there was an asshole who did not draw anything, just used an AI genereted picture to cheet on an art contest. And this (undermine the works, and skills of artists) is the thing that this guy is doing. He is selling those on a website, made for, and by artists so they can put bread on they table. And both biger, and smaller artists will suffer because of AI art genereters, because they will not get the support they need. Let's imagin that you are someone who just started learning drawing, and art, after seeing this would you be still motiveted to contenue learning it? And I haven't even mentiond the AI bros. AI art genereters have one of the most toxic fanbase imaginable. They are harassing artist, and telling them how they skills are useless whaile steeling they art on Twitter. So yeah the reason why I hate it, and insist that this is unethical, and harmfull for artists is because it is. Look you will probably say that to me to find an another job field, but I and many other artists can't. Outside of art, and visual story telling I'm not good at anything. I was born with a learning defenetly that have severaly effected my education growing up severaly, I even have a office document about it so it can be considerd as a disabelity but I don't know, and because of it my oportunities are limited. I hope you understand.
Artist should never be under valued more than they already are. They put alot of hard work so they deserve to be paid for their time and effort. Ai and Artist can co exist but understand why artists should be paid for their time. If you were an artist you would understand. Art is our passion it always has been and uts ashame some don't understand that.
@@Alexandraadftxr7052 I totally get your concern. I've been using Midjourney but I refuse to reference specific artists in my prompts because I don't think it is ethical. I'm not going to try to defend my particular angle for why I've been experimenting with it, but I would never present it as "art" that I created. I've been experimenting essentially restricting the AI to only use my own photography with generalized styling prompts (like genres of art) and getting interesting results, then doing composites of certain elements in photoshop for a completed work. Again, I'm NOT trying to defend a position here against yours. Best of luck to you, I definitely think there should be copyright protections immediately preventing prompts from referencing living artists.
Because the computer might be getting between them and that sweet sweet commission dosh. That's it.
Nobody had a problem with AI -art- generated images until they started to get lewd enough to substitute the smut that they make a living off of.
The waifu monopoly has now been compromised. This was never about originality or artistic merit: those are red herrings. It was _always_ about money: first and foremost.
Exactly. What some artists and people in general don't understand is that technologies like these will only democritize art. It will become accesible to everyone with an idea. Just like a 3D printer has begun to democratize production. A prototype was something extremely expensive that only a factory could deliver. Now you get to print it at home. Yet factories keep working, they didn't go anywhere. Artists will still be everywhere, but now, everyday people who didn't have the skill or the money to study or the money for supplies, will have access to their ideas too.
People can say its wrong to sell AI art even if you are photo bashing but it still requires some kind of work. I mean sure you can say you didn't make the art in general, the AI made it. But same could be said about using programs on the computer for making art faster/easier and even using textures and other free art online to make your art, does that still mean you didn't make it? The main thing I see with AI art is some might use it here and there for some personal projects or to even make cool art to hang up in their house but they won't be the ones that really learn how to use it to the fullest. Then you have the people that want to use it to sell art, which in my opinion I feel is perfectly fine. At the end of the day you still need to learn how to make good prompts and either need to spend money on these websites to generate images or have a good computer to generate them on your own. Now yes some might just generate 100 or even 1000's of images and try selling each one but for the most part you might have 1 good image out of 10's or even 100's of images generated. AI art is just another way to make art easier for the average person and still takes time to learn as any artform does, just a matter if people are still willing to learn it.
There are people who are really into AI generated art, like him on Twitter who are harrassing artists, telling them how they skills are useless whaile stilling they art.
Just like any artist, if you like a specific artists work you will commission them. AI can make art but they can not make exactly what someone else has in mind. They will both be unique.
You can put image prompt
I love AI. I'm a writer and for the last 2 months been trying to design a monster for my novel as I want to add the concept art in the book and no matter what, I can't replicate what I see in my mind. I've tried every AI available. I'll have commission an artist

I loved your video and ignore the hate you may receive ❤
People are overthinking it. I've sold my art to an Art school owner, a tattoo artist, a person that works at a gas station and I'm working on home interior designers and home builders and yes Etsy. If you are trying to sell your art as art and not using the whole capability of the power you have at your fingers tips then you don't know what you have!
Most end users are not that critical about it, they want a problem solved. We as, Ai artists/prompt engineers/ UX designers/concept artists, whatever you want to call yourself. We are the ones that make a big deal of it. Sure, there are Some "REAL" artists who may have an issue with it, but technology is growing and they know it. "We" as an AI artists are trying to think for the consumer and are so wrapped up in what people will think......STOP THAT!!! Put your art out there and keep it moving! A year from now, it will be just another day at the office.
Not everyone is quite so accepting as you, or open in their definitions of art. But I think that's an admirable perspective, keep doing what you do.
@@glibatree I had the pleasure of speaking with the artist who has been in the news, for winning an art competition. His opinion and encouragement made me rethink things. I too was in that state of mind, where I thought if people knew how I made it would be turned off. Real Artists and Architects have more concerns then Photographers IMO
That doesn’t make you a artist you aren’t drawing it.
@@xenn2996 As a graphic designer with over 25 years experience I never though my work was not art even though I created most of my work using clip art/images/graphics that I did not originally create so where is the difference? Ai art is just a stepping stone/tool/inspiration to your final image.
@@glibatree I see you don't know that AI generated art fans are harrassing artists, and telling them how they skills are useless on Twitter because of AI generated art.
Ai makes original art that has convinced actual artists to consider ai artists. The artists don't get credit, it is like an artist inspired by other artists, do they have to credit every artist or teacher who helped them learn to draw? And artwork is defined as illustrations, photographs, or other nontextual material prepared for inclusion in a publication, what about that discludes ai artists? Humans work of things they have seen and learned, and so do ai. If ai is able to learn and create, then why claim their work is not original?
This is a solid argument too. The AI and People learning art are definitely on similar trajectories.
@@glibatree Wow I didn't expect anyone to give my comment any thought, let alone the amazing glibatree, thanks I think.
Exactly. I'm not sure this is some open and shut case lol
It would be an interesting idea if an artist commissions ai generated art at a lower tier using their own art to feed into the ai
about the inspiration part, I think it's a remake using your point of view, you see it, you think about it, you got something out of it and add your own thing. But AI is using data base, I think there is a big difference.
