Hmm...Better battery pull tabs than Apple's. Huawei has seriously outdone Apple in every department this year whilst maintaining the phones they manufacture at a competitive price.

5:32 USB Cable was already removed before disassabling the USB-Port. Don't forget to remove the sim-card holder bofore removing the circuit board on the left bottom side.
4:12 Motherboard-Flex-Cable was not connected correctly on this picture. Jump back to 3:38 to see how this LYAF-Cable should be connected correctly.
You saved me. I was spending a couple of minutes scratching my head how that worked out.
Does the screen function perfectly as b4, as in response time etc
iam not really sure what to do. my mate 20 pro is 1 month old. and after cleaning it with a microfiber cloth ive seen that the rubber "band/glue" thats between the display and the metal casing is coming out and ripped. i bet it isnt waterproof anymore due to it.
I wanna ask something. I dropped my phone (huawei mate 20 pro) and it hit the edge of the cement then it ruined my power button. Can i have power button replacement? How much do you think for a repair?

If wifi and bluetooth are broken (automatically turns off when I switch on wifi and bluetooth), is the signal flex cable the problem?

How do you remove the volume/power rockers? It looks like you have to remove the plastic support in the mid frame? (basically my volume rocker has stop working and it is not the volume/power ribbon as that still functions when removed from the slot)
Did you find out how to remove the volume/power rockers/buttons? At which part of the video did you go up to fix the volume/power buttons? I hope it ain't after the part where you have to take the I accidentally spilt some uv liquid or whatever it is and my power button kinda got stuck so I tried loosening it by pulling it outwards. I accidentally yanked it out and here I am.
Can you put the fingerprint scanner onto a new screen if I replace my screen will it work?

Is the flashlight flex cable the same as the proximity sensor flex cable?
I change the battery on mine. When I start the phone only the huawei and android thing come up and then it turns of. What can be the problem ?
I Accidentally poked the sim eject pin into one of the holes of the primary mic at the bottom of the phone.. hard. Did my carelessness pierce the microphone gasket or damage the waterproofing of the mic or the device?
you missed that part where you remove the usb port and usb cable after removing the loudspeaker and microphones. otherwise great video

No it is still the light based one, but idk why it looks so different

hello I ordered the rear camera, after installing it respecting the disassembly and assembly steps, the camera application no longer works and also the flashlight does not turn on anymore, the front camera does not work anymore , I tried several times but without success thanks for helping me to find a solution

@Wit Rigs, do you think that after the disassembly of that phone, when reassembled it would keep all its water resistant qualities ? My phone is for screen replacement due to some line appearing on it. All that glue and stickers covering something + thermal paste let me think that they will return me some crap, so I should probably sell it and get a new one... :/
i would not bet your shirt that water resistance would be remaining :( .
chances are they are swapping the hardware into a new unmarried body. no way would it retain it IF you have to do this much for jsut a screen. Ill wait til the green screen issue is over and re-order
@@hortonj63 I didn't had the green screen issue, my problem was a straight line through the middle of the screen. Like the entire line of sub-pixels was dead. Anyway they've replaced the phone comoletely now. The new one seems to be with BOE screen, so no issues are expected.
@@mikldude9376 Actually you won't lose the water resistance ability after repair, since they will reapply the glue and use high temperature pressure machine to seal it up again.

Hi, I accidentally poked the Mic hole beside the sim card tray with sim card removal tool did I damage the Mic? uuhuhu Please let me know if the mic is away from the hole or did I damage the water resistant stuff. Thanks
If you need to repair it yourself, the phone will no longer be waterproof after repair.

Need a lot of rear camera
Some of the component hidden in the side frame which making the disassembly tricky.
The sealed-in battery is stick on the battery room which making the disassembly have to force pressure on the whole phone to remove the battery.
15+1 screws used which making the disassembly slower a bit.
The whole piece copper is great but why it is not precisely tailored for the shape, it looks crap.

The vibration motor on this device is so weak. I'm pretty disappointed about that since I always have my phone set on vibrate.
