INDYA! I follow all your channels and as a newtuber myself the biggest thing that held me back from starting for the longest time was feeling like I wasn't niched enough to be perceived and grow a channel. I was just thinking about how I wasn't sure what video to post next because I feel like I should be working to currate one specific area, but I don't have one specific love that I'd want to be boxed into. I'm taking this video as a sign and taking what you said about not existing to be understood to heart! I was telling my mum my target audience is pretty much myself, but I wasn't sure if that was marketable enough. Congrats on this new chapter of showing up as your whole self!
Literally made me tear up 🥺 Content creators are so talented in general and as creatives I feel like we struggle with the whole "pick a niche" ya know? We are so multi-faceted. I just think how happy I would me to find someone who is interested in all the things I am interested in bc these ppl do exist! It's time to embrace our uniqueness! And, thank you for all of your support babe ❤️

@@IndyaAjaiEveryday and yes it's SO HARD, but also content creation is simultaneously the perfect outlet because we get to decide who we want to be. BUT at the same time we're so used to niches and specialized creators that it's so easy to feel pressured to specialize to grow faster when youtube specifically is an amazing playground for generalists and multipotentialites! This is something I keep trying to remind myself, especially because it's much more sustainable long term. Have you heard of content layering? It's a term I've heard talked about a lot with Erin of Erin on Demand you might like!
