Hey, man! So glad we got out and got on some fish. I had a blast guiding you and my excitement was so real when we finally were able to net your first, second, and third fly fished muskies. Definite success on the water. I will make sure to hit you up when I am in the Lower and we will need to do another collaboration video. I will try to get my video made in the next week or so to show the day from my perspective.
Congrats on hooking into your first musky on the fly, and many more after that. Fun seeing how you guys did out there after running into you and Haights in the Northwoods. 🤘🏽
One of the best fishing vlog on the internet welldone! Nice Muskys musky is a weird fish not afraid of the boat! Most of the pike were already swam away when they see the boat and fishermen.
So glad everything happened the way it did! (Minus the audio thing). I TOLD YOU! If you’re after musky, Benjamin is the man! Can’t wait til next time you make your way to the yoop! Thanks for the plug!
I live in east PA and have never caught a Musky, I got an 8 weight NRX to try with. Last August or September a buddy and me were fishing on the Delaware in Easton and he was using my 5' Fenwick HMG with a Tiny Torpedo and a HUGE Musky took it about 5' in front go him!! He kept it on the line for about 30 minutes and as it started coming in, I think it saw us because he was getting wet so I offered to switch positions with him, I thought it would be best to hide to avoid scaring him/her. It shot down stream and then jumped completely out of the water, it looked like it was around 40" plus, I had Nanofil on and it cut while it was in the air. Needless to say, it was an AWESOME experience!!!
@@peelindrag113 Yes..weightless is the key. Big streamers have incredible action. Ive been getting pike, large mouths, and Smallies on the fly. Nothing else works.
Wooooo, been waiting for this!!! 😜👌🏻🔥👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 Edit.... thoroughly enjoyed the video dude! It was awesome to see your excitement. Massive congrats man 😎🙌🏻🤟🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was up there the same time you were. I know that spot you caught the third muskie on and saw a 40" not far from there. I also met Seth at Dark Waters.
Would love a how to on those streamers you tie. I've been tying for a few years and struggle to keep a good shape on bigger streamers and yours look great.
congrats man, not everybody can say they’ve done that. keep going for them and make some more videos on it, I’m very interested in this, had to come back and watch it twice 😹

Zack Martin yes thanks I have many fly rods but I mostly fish for pike and for the last 30 years too You can figure 8 for them or do big circles if you want My point was that the six inch jerks wasn’t working There’s no rules to fly fishing predators only things that work or they don’t Good job getting any muskies on the fly 3!! That’s good stuff in my book 👍
There is a slight color difference, musky generally get a little bigger and they are also much more difficult to catch. Musky are nicknamed the fish of 10,000 casts.

It's weird how such a difficult fish to catch can seem to careless at times.. they make their own rules for sure!

Where are you fly combo
Big pike fishermen from new York. Good videos. Keep up the good work.
When all else fails, use a fly rod. Especially in the dog days of summer. Nothing can resist a good streamer. Great vid dude.
I totally agree! Something about that weightless presentation going through the water that the fish can't resist!

Best piece of advice I have for you is treat every retrieve like you have a fish following you up tight lines 🐋🐋🐋

Yes!!!
Hi Peel, quick question how are your leaders setup?? Are you using wire or heavy mono??
My whole set up is in the description, but I was using a titanium leader. I always try to stick with wire of some sort.
What fly line did you use for musky fishing? I've been looking at the scientific anglers titan sonar sink tip
That's what I was using, the sink 30 cold. My whole set up is also in the description
Can you do a video about how to cast a fly rod
I'm not the best with tutorials like that, but Orvis has some great videos on UA-cam about it. Here's one. ua-cam.com/video/d8idd4kgXY4/v-deo.html

You need to practice your figure 8’s for sure 👍
