Did you find that the cropping is a problem. For example, if you want to get the whole sheep in the shot, you will have to step back because the 4k mode is cropped. How far back do you have to be?
It is proportional to the crop factor, which is around 1.4. So, if you are 5 meters away when shooting in Full HD, you have to go to 7 meters when using 4K. Nevertheless, it also depends on the stabilization mode, which may lower this extra step (FHD may be cropped as well, so the difference between FHD and 4K can be smaller).
