I got the Gefilte Joe & The Fish record when it first came out. It was playing on the PA system at a Rhino Records warehouse sale. Then I saw it in the bins & had to have it. They have since reissued it - still on translucent blue vinyl, but not shaped. I've played it to death on my radio show & various other Chanuka-themed parties. Another one I've played to death is Kip Adotta's fish-shaped 'Wet Dream' (another musical-comedy track). Yeah, I'm a classic collector.

Quality of picture disks is certainly all over the place. Had the Pink Floyd DSOTM picture disk at one point. While it looked cool, it sounded bad. I'm convinced they're just mainly for framing purposes.

Twenty One Pilots have made a record called “The LC LP” and it was in shape of Ohio.
I just got my hands on one of these and don't know how to display it.
I collect uniquely shaped, colored, and picture disks. I have the Jewish star one you showed, quite a few heart shaped, one that’s an octagon. Also some have glitter. I also have all kinds of colors from lavender, to uranium green, to those trendy splattered records. I am such a sucker. I also love country or state shaped records.
I have many examples of shaped records including Horslips 7" "Loneliness" on shamrock shape, and Dreams Of Tall Buildings "Video Rose" on a triangular disc - in a sleeve made of carpet underlay!! I also have a skull-shaped cd single "Alive In Torment"by Dimmu Borgir.
Paula Abdul's Opposites Attract is cut into the rapping cat from the music video.
Uncut shaped discs are even more collectible!
Paul McCartney had a weird one back in the 90s. It had a cartoon dog and Paul on it. the song was called "We All Stand Together." I had about a dozen copies and sold all of them on Ebay.
By the way: Possibly even less common, but I actually have a few shaped CDs as well! Making a shaped CD that will actually play is quite complicated, as it needs to be reasonably well balanced out due to the much higher rotation speed and lack of a platter, plus they usually only work in players that have an accessible spindle (like a portable player or "flip up" types) instead of a tray because you couldn't center the disc in a tray. I think I have two or three, I'd be surprised if there were more than a couple dozen shaped CD releases.

An interesting subset to collect are uncut shaped picture discs. Essentially they are future shaped picture discs before they go through the cutting process. As you can imagine, they are pretty rare and quite cool. I own Fish’s “A Gentleman’s Excuse Me” and Marillion’s “The Uninvited Guest” picture discs that way. :)
There is a shaped picture disc of The Police "Roxanne". Police badge shaped. Comes in a cardboard sleeve that looks like a leather badge wallet. Printed on sleeve is "Genuine Leather".
I have The Police "Message in a Bottle" badge-shaped vinyl! Pretty cool!

Speaking of Toto....I have a shaped Promotional Picture Disc of "Georgy Porgy" (the Disco version featuring Cheryl Lynn as backing vocalist) where the playable area is the picture disc itself,BUT they have a black vinyl area that is Hexagonal shaped. If you can find that,I think you'd find it cool....although (and this is why it's a Promo) the same song is on both sides.
quasimoto picture disc and UGK Featuring OutKast - Int'l Players Anthem (Texas shaped picture disc) both highly recommend .
I got the Toto - Africa disc on record store day as well. Love that song so damn much.

The only picture disc I own is The Format - Swans shaped like a swan. I'd love to get the 21Pilots RSD single shaped like Ohio simply because Ohio is the greatest state EVERRRRRRR!
I just got hold of Deathcar by Fightstar. It's a vinylDISC; 1 side CD, the other side vinyl.
I own a Rancid, Metallica and Ozzy Osbourne picture disk. The Ranicid one is the album cover, the Metallica one is a jump in the fire picture and the Ozzy Osbourne one is the picture disk for the full sized record single of Mr.Crowley
i saw that gaffilte joe picture disc in a commic shop in melbourne in the 80s....sorry if the spelling is wrong, ive seen it a few times usually in the cheap box....i love country joe and the fish so i got the joke. take it easy
You should get that Father John Misty heart shaped vinyl, I had a copy and sold it recently, I think it looks really cool but i'm not a huge fan of FJM.
It's certainly hard to find now.
Some of these coool picture discs are fairly cheap, for example the Broccoli goes for about 10 bucks on Discogs. Great for someone just starting collecting. I actually enjoy those songs. Didn’t know they released the Africa shape...I almost bought one a year or two ago, for 65 dollars.

I absolutely love Dire Straits! Probably my favorite band of all time. Telegraph Road is their best song in my opinion. Toto are also great.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have a 40 hour a week job and putting in the time and effort to ideate, shoot, edit, and promote my videos is practically another 40 hours a week. I don't get paid to do my channel, so if someone wants to sponsor me for a video, and I like their service, I have no problem doing so, as it helps me keep the channel afloat. Hopefully you'll change your mind, but if not, thank you for watching up until this point :)
