  • First thing you need to know is "when do you start sowing indoors", and the answer is determined by when your last frost date is in your location. I usually start my hot peppers around 8-12 weeks before last frost and bell peppers between 8-10 weeks. The steps are easy and are listed below:
    Get your seeds ready
Potting soil - Get a good potting mix because this will determine the outcome for germination
Potting cup/ containers - This may come in different sizes and you start with your preference. ensure there is hole at the bottom for easy drainage.
Labels - Good labelling for easy identification of plants
Trays with lids - you need this to keep air and moist during germination period
Get a good source of heat
Light - you place plant in lighted area once you start seeing the first leaf
    Simple steps to follow.
Fill up the potting pot with soil
Create a hole in the pot
Spread the seed in the pot
    Cover with loose soil
Water and place in a warm place
    That's it.

I planted my bell pepper seeds about 3 weeks ago, they are up already, I am however scared of transferring them to the garden

You can leave it for another 2 to 3 weeks before transplanting. It also depends on current weather in your location. If there is no frost night again
