Another way in Premiere - instead of exporting a still and importing it into back the project and adding it to the timeline, put the playhead on the frame without the mic and right click to "Add Frame Hold." Delete the rest of the clip and extend the resulting still frame to the desired length. Same ultimate result, but saves a few clicks.

Objects removal in resolve works great, have you tried that?
doesnt work for me instead it keeps the mic....it doesnt block it.....
