Shyre May is a passionate artist with great interest in art in almost every form. She believes in art as an expression. As the founder of Krate, Space for Creatives, a community arts and performing centre that is based in Melaka. Her focus is currently on strengthening the creative community here.
Shyre May is the writer, director, producer and actor in multiple theater and film productions and has been teaching drama for the last 5 years. Her love for creating lead her to meeting individuals and building a sustainable community that could contribute to the society through creative education. Whether it is through art, theater, or film, she strives to promote community-based creative work. She believes in doing something bigger than who you are and lifting someone up while lifting your own in doing the things you love most.

Don't think I would want to join the East Wind Community. Communities like that creep me out. That one is where I live. Actually it's suppose to be a nudest one. It's hard to find your people. A place to be yourself.
