James Wan and Leigh Whannell is the minds behind the 2004 original, think about that for a second and what they're known for today. The guy Who directed Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV also directed Spiral: From The Book of Saw (2021). Despite this, that movie is NOT called Saw IX for a reason.

Is there really a Saw VIII, though? That would indeed be Jigsaw (2017) but back before Saw VII closed the books on the series, they had ideas for two more movies, which they had to turn into one. Seven years went by before the series returned, with Tobin Bell in it.
So many memories... The Saw franchise is so underrated. And Charlie Clouser deserves to be in way more projects.
