Something we have learned from Microsoft is they don't force their developers to make games (that's why we still don't have a new Banjo or Conker's) this means if Toys for Bob or Beenox wants to make Crash and Spyro games, Microsoft will let them.
This is why next years call of duty if it actually ends up releasing next year will actually last and be supported for the 3 years or so that they said MW2 would.
However, sometimes they're too hands off and developers get too careless. So far, the lineup of the Xbox Series X appears to repeat the same issues that the Sega Saturn had; 1st Party Rushjobs (Halo Infinite, Forza Motorsport), lack of respect for players (Redfall and allegedly Fable), constant apologies and the most anticipated titles (Perfect Dark, Everwild, The Elder Scrolls VI) currently MIA and at risk of cancellation.
If your worried about the way Xbox might handle how they interact with community members such as yourself I’d say lay those worries to rest. As a long time Xbox user I’ve observed on a studio and platform level they are always willing to get involved and more importantly listen to community leaders and members. Here’s hoping the best years are ahead for Crash and Spyro!
We all hope Phil will take advantage of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro for new games, merchandise, movies, cartoons, sponsorships at motorsports like NASCAR, Monster Jam and such and more to get Crash Bandicoot and Spyro back up and better.
And that he makes sure the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro franchises stay remaining multiplatforms since we want sales for their games to sell strong and keep their franchises popular and relevant just like back in the good ol' days.
I'm all in for Spyro 4 but I can't help but fear that Crash and Spyro to become Xbox exclusive. I only fear of that change because nothing has came out to either confirm or deny it. I’m pretty sure that’s a concern for a lot of people. I’ve been a Crash and Spyro fan since childhood and kept up with them thanks to their games being on all platforms, and I’m not going to buy yet ANOTHER console just for their games. I’ve never shown interest in any of the games from their consoles, so buying one would be pointless for me. I recently bought a PS5 thinking I’ll still keep up with both franchises like I’ve always done, so fingers crossed that Microsoft won’t make them exclusive.
I'm mostly scared of a new Spyro (or Crash) game finally releasing, only to be released as an Xbox exclusive. Fans shouldn't have to be denied access if they only play one console. Everyone should have the ability to enjoy the games they've waited so long to play

Spyro and Crash are pretty much in the best hands possible. And it all starts by having Spyro in Rumble. Outside of bugs and glitches CT Rumble S2 has, I genuinely want S2 to end and S3 to start so I can play Spyro in Rumble rn. Good vid as usual. 👍
I just want Microsoft account mitigation so I don't need to have an Activision or BattleNET account to play. Also, I just hope that the mandatory online for Single Player gets removed for future Activision games, as it's not fair to get banned from simply playing the game all because the game crashed or Speedrunning strats were used.
Me too. It will be very weird and disappointing if that happened. But, don't worry, it's not gonna happen as they will still be on all PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo consoles and PC.

I just have no faith in Microsoft. They have failed as a publisher for years. They always rush out games before they are ready like Halo Infinite, Sea of Thieves, and so on. Not happy to see them in control of some of my favorite IPs. Not to mention they canceled the PS5 version of Redfall and Starfield, so even if a game gets released, the main community on PlayStation will probably get screwed. Hope I'm wrong, but it is what it is.
As for Halo Infinite, 343 finally gets new leadership and they went ahead and started fixing the problems with the game. Redfall on the hand and it’s also partially ZeniMax’s fault for forcing Arkane Austin to make this game as a service, it’s dead on arrival and not even worth playing even if it’s coming on PlayStation (have you not seen the reviews?)

Anybody who is saying Spyro & Crash will end up like Banjo Kazooie is wrong. Xbox let’s it’s teams work on what they want, Rare just doesn’t want to make a new Banjo Kazooie game. Crash & Spyro will continue having new games as long as Toy’s for Bob &/or Beenox have passion for making them. We could even get a new Banjo game from them if Rare let’s them. In a 2020 Interview with Kotaku Phill Spencer said "I leave it up to the studios in terms of the things that they want to go work on. I have a lot of respect for Rare and the work that they do. They do like building new things, and they’ve seen success with Sea of Thieves."
Rare doesn't really have a say if toys for Bob can make a new banjo or conkor game that's up to xbox and I doubt they'd say no. Also I've heard that some people at toys for Bob want a new banjo game so take from that what you will.
They might not immediately go the way of Banjo, but they're definitely not in the clear. Xbox has to actually want to invest in Crash and Spyro, and that's not going to happen if they go Xbox exclusive and bomb as a result. And no, I do not trust anything Phil Spencer says regarding exclusivity, the man's a lawyer in a CEO's body. Everything he says is either a twisting of the truth, or an outright lie.

Ima say this. Even if spyro and crash become xbox only i doubt it since a lot of the xbox games is pc as well. I rather buy a PC over a xbox to be honest and have my switch and ps for exclusives
They are not going to be exclusive to Xbox and PC AT ALL. Phil was Asked by Famitsu Magazine this question. "What Activision/Blizzard IP are you pulling from the PlayStation platform?" The response from the CEO of Microsoft Gaming said it truthfully and bluntly about that question without scarasm and with seriousness, " The Truth is, We're not pulling anything." Meaning that they're not going to be pulling all of the Activison Blizzard IPs from the PlayStation and Nintendo Systems, They want to Include those Communities with the Gaming for everyone and they mean everyone from PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC, Cloud Streaming and Mobile. It was evidenced by Diablo IV's Expansion just revealed a few days. What it means is that every single IP (including Crash Bandicoot and Spyro) is staying on Playstation and Nintendo Systems moving forward.

You think maybe it being owned by Microsoft that It will release on PC day 1? Because the ONLY reason I even own an Xbox is because I wanted to play Reignited when it first came out. My Xbox just sits there collecting dust ever since Reignited came to PC.
I think this is the downfall of brands... Activision itself is just out for money and is going full game as a service. Crash Team Rumble shows how bad this is for the brand. Microtransactions everywhere! Of course, Spyro and Crash will never be the same again. But I think it's getting worse. And if Microsoft thinks they want to make it exclusive... Then the brand will die faster than players switch to XBox. Because let’s be honest. Most fans of the series are still on Playstation and will stay there. Hopefully Activision's purchase doesn't affect the brands... I don't want any more Crash Team rumble games either. Where money is squeezed out of the nostalgics... But single player games WITHOUT microtransactions and WITHOUT DLCs But we all know that won't happen anymore.
Please dont go xbox exclusive though, it will cut off a lot of fans from both franchises unless they swap to xbox. Spyro definately deserves more love though either way at the moment
i'm sure we will get more content from this channel regardless of what comes about, I'm glad we have a community for Spyro & Crash they are an awesome duo and need to be constantly discussed and celebrated so that more could potentially happen with them, I do hope that our fanbase for these guys will blossom more and flourish once xbox takes over...and yes I'm a die hard playstation gamer and dislike xbox I will continue to support anything spyro and crash :) even if it means now having to buy an extra console to play potentially newer titles; thanks for the updates we are all in a new journey with this changing of hands for spyro and crash, no one knows what will or will not potentially happen but its worth the trek into the obbiss to see what is next in line
Here is my hope: xbox make a studio group with several teams that want to be making games like Crash, Spyro, Banjo and Viva Pinata. These several groups make various games so that roughly each year one of the teams has a game ready to go. Some years they'll be platformers. Other years multiplayer fun, and some times they will be brand new IP. You will know they are travelling in this direction if Banjo shows up in a future season of this game

Sony still own Sly Cooper and we still didn't see a new or Remastered of Sly Cooper game hopefully when jim Ryan step down next year we get a ceo that care about the Playstation fans. But Microsoft doesn't care about spyro because only Sony/Playstation give spyro Anniversary on Setember 9 every year. Xbox didn't have nothing about spyro so Microsoft need sell the spyro IP to sony. microsoft lets the devs make the games that they want to make, so worst case senario even if there was never a spyro 4 in development under activision, it could be made now under microsoft if toys for bob or beenox wants to make it, tho we probably wont see it until like 2027 the earliest
Good vid but i want to talk about a few things. First off, though idk how it'll work myself, i doubt you'll have to worry about not getting a code but you could always review it after it releases like other content creators do that don't recieve review codes. With exclusivity, i wouldn't hold your breath for Spyro and Crash releasing on Playstation. It's still possible but unlikely specially when the contract specifically says Call of Duty. Finally, Xbox/MS has allowed their studios to make what they want for a longtime now so i wouldn't worry about Crash or Spyro not being developed. It'll be up to Toys for Bob or Beenox to develop the games. I heard Toys for Bob Studio Head has stated he wanted Banjo Kazooie to comeback.

If there's another crash game before spyro I will literally cry. Incredibly one sided towards crash . Rumble, nitro fuelled and crash 4. All before spyro 4
I hope that this doesn't mean that they are going to dump Spyro, completely change and ruin his personality like they did in the Skylanders Academy programme. I also really they don't just insert bad ideas, like with the year of the dragonfly pile of rubbish or take a million years to make another decent Spyro game.
I mean if it ain't broke? So other dev teams can take a crack at Crash/Spyro but we're happy with the current direction, so why risk that? Microsoft probably want that to make their mark, there are enough hints to Spyro 4 and it's concerning that it might be derailed.
Sony isn't much better, and MS owning them is far better than Activision, because under Acti-Blizz, if they don't make big $$$, they would always be on the chopping block. Microsoft might actually use Spyro. Look at the graveyard at Sony that is all their dormant or dead IPs, Sony could make their own Call of Duty competitor with Killzone if they really wanted to (not that I would want it to be a CoD knock off) but they won't. Before you bring up Banjo Kazooie, it has always been Rare's choice, and they would rather keep working on Sea of Thieves. It's also Sucker Punch's choice to make a new Sly Cooper or a collection if they wanted, Naughty Dog does nothing with Jak, and a few others, but they don't. I see so many people dunk on MS for Banjo, but Sony gets a pass despite leaving countless of their own franchises to rot. We're lucky to have gotten the new God War games imo.
Where's Jak, Sly Cooper, Killzone, Legend of Dragoon, Syphon Filter, Infamous? They let their best racing game Jet Moto fall into EA's hands to never be heard of again. I sure hope a new Twisted Metal is on the horizon.

It’s inevitable still. Video game industry is not any different to other known industries. Now we got Disney of all companies looking into buying EA. Acquisitions whether you like or not will still happened no matter the resistance. Oh and Activision is struggling with keeping itself sustainable due to poor management and terrible working conditions so that didn’t help them remain independent long enough as they were desperately looking to be bought out.
Its crazy how eveyething can change or just remain I do hope they allow you, Destinatuon Marc, Miharu, Abdul, and others continue to help out with the series and their growth The adventure continues, and its reboots as well
This is kinda similar to when Microsoft bought the rights to Banjo-Kazooie in 2008, and then Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts game came out, but then haven't had a new game for 15 Years.

I am Highly Convinced we will Not see a Spyro game either for a very long time or simply never. Crash may continue to get games and Spyro may feature in those games.
I don't really mind what happens with Spyro as long as we get a Switch port.
But nintendo have lot nintendo exclusives like Super Mario RPG that not on other consoles or PC.
@@1992TheDiamondWolf I mean, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy was on Switch and did very well so I would think the next Spyro would also be available too. Nintendo don't tend to give Mario to a lot of consoles for some reason. He's always been strictly with nintendo consoles.

No it's not, Crash and Spyro are not becoming Xbox exclusives: they are not gonna die out like Banjo-Kazooie, which by the way, was more the fans' fault than anyone else's: because Rare took one look at the fan response to Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, said "Nope," and then left it at that: with only an appearance in Smash Bros Ultimate and a digital re-release on Nintendo Switch Online

Ima say this. Even if spyro and crash become xbox only i doubt it since a lot of the xbox games is pc as well. I rather buy a PC over a xbox to be honest and have my switch and ps for exclusives
They are not going to be exclusive to Xbox and PC AT ALL. Phil was Asked by Famitsu Magazine this question. "What Activision/Blizzard IP are you pulling from the PlayStation platform?" The response from the CEO of Microsoft Gaming said it truthfully and bluntly about that question without scarasm and with seriousness, " The Truth is, We're not pulling anything." Meaning that they're not going to be pulling all of the Activison Blizzard IPs from the PlayStation and Nintendo Systems, They want to Include those Communities with the Gaming for everyone and they mean everyone from PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC, Cloud Streaming and Mobile. It was evidenced by Diablo IV's Expansion just revealed a few days.
What it means is that every single IP (including Crash Bandicoot and Spyro) is staying on Playstation and Nintendo Systems moving forward.

I think this is the downfall of brands... Activision itself is just out for money and is going full game as a service. Crash Team Rumble shows how bad this is for the brand. Microtransactions everywhere! Of course, Spyro and Crash will never be the same again. But I think it's getting worse. And if Microsoft thinks they want to make it exclusive... Then the brand will die faster than players switch to XBox. Because let’s be honest. Most fans of the series are still on Playstation and will stay there. Hopefully Activision's purchase doesn't affect the brands... I don't want any more Crash Team rumble games either. Where money is squeezed out of the nostalgics... But single player games WITHOUT microtransactions and WITHOUT DLCs But we all know that won't happen anymore.

i'm sure we will get more content from this channel regardless of what comes about, I'm glad we have a community for Spyro & Crash they are an awesome duo and need to be constantly discussed and celebrated so that more could potentially happen with them, I do hope that our fanbase for these guys will blossom more and flourish once xbox takes over...and yes I'm a die hard playstation gamer and dislike xbox I will continue to support anything spyro and crash :) even if it means now having to buy an extra console to play potentially newer titles; thanks for the updates we are all in a new journey with this changing of hands for spyro and crash, no one knows what will or will not potentially happen but its worth the trek into the obbiss to see what is next in line
Here is my hope: xbox make a studio group with several teams that want to be making games like Crash, Spyro, Banjo and Viva Pinata. These several groups make various games so that roughly each year one of the teams has a game ready to go. Some years they'll be platformers. Other years multiplayer fun, and some times they will be brand new IP. You will know they are travelling in this direction if Banjo shows up in a future season of this game
The fact we could potentially get an original Vicarious Visions Crash Bandicoot game because of this deal blows my mind.

Sony still own Sly Cooper and we still didn't see a new or Remastered of Sly Cooper game hopefully when jim Ryan step down next year we get a ceo that care about the Playstation fans. But Microsoft doesn't care about spyro because only Sony/Playstation give spyro Anniversary on Setember 9 every year. Xbox didn't have nothing about spyro so Microsoft need sell the spyro IP to sony. Get Insomniac make spyro 4.
microsoft lets the devs make the games that they want to make, so worst case senario even if there was never a spyro 4 in development under activision, it could be made now under microsoft if toys for bob or beenox wants to make it, tho we probably wont see it until like 2027 the earliest

Good vid but i want to talk about a few things. First off, though idk how it'll work myself, i doubt you'll have to worry about not getting a code but you could always review it after it releases like other content creators do that don't recieve review codes. With exclusivity, i wouldn't hold your breath for Spyro and Crash releasing on Playstation. It's still possible but unlikely specially when the contract specifically says Call of Duty. Finally, Xbox/MS has allowed their studios to make what they want for a longtime now so i wouldn't worry about Crash or Spyro not being developed. It'll be up to Toys for Bob or Beenox to develop the games. I heard Toys for Bob Studio Head has stated he wanted Banjo Kazooie to comeback.

I hope that this doesn't mean that they are going to dump Spyro, completely change and ruin his personality like they did in the Skylanders Academy programme.
I also really they don't just insert bad ideas, like with the year of the dragonfly pile of rubbish or take a million years to make another decent Spyro game.
If Microsoft is smart they’ll know how to market crash as a mascot and put him back on super Mario , sonic level status.
I mean if it ain't broke? So other dev teams can take a crack at Crash/Spyro but we're happy with the current direction, so why risk that? Microsoft probably want that to make their mark, there are enough hints to Spyro 4 and it's concerning that it might be derailed.

@@rezara9510 Crash and Spyro were Sonys most iconic exclusives on their first console, like Halo and Gears were for xbox.
Sony isn't much better, and MS owning them is far better than Activision, because under Acti-Blizz, if they don't make big $$$, they would always be on the chopping block. Microsoft might actually use Spyro. Look at the graveyard at Sony that is all their dormant or dead IPs, Sony could make their own Call of Duty competitor with Killzone if they really wanted to (not that I would want it to be a CoD knock off) but they won't.
Before you bring up Banjo Kazooie, it has always been Rare's choice, and they would rather keep working on Sea of Thieves. It's also Sucker Punch's choice to make a new Sly Cooper or a collection if they wanted, Naughty Dog does nothing with Jak, and a few others, but they don't. I see so many people dunk on MS for Banjo, but Sony gets a pass despite leaving countless of their own franchises to rot. We're lucky to have gotten the new God War games imo.
Where's Jak, Sly Cooper, Killzone, Legend of Dragoon, Syphon Filter, Infamous? They let their best racing game Jet Moto fall into EA's hands to never be heard of again. I sure hope a new Twisted Metal is on the horizon.

It’s inevitable still. Video game industry is not any different to other known industries. Now we got Disney of all companies looking into buying EA. Acquisitions whether you like or not will still happened no matter the resistance. Oh and Activision is struggling with keeping itself sustainable due to poor management and terrible working conditions so that didn’t help them remain independent long enough as they were desperately looking to be bought out.

This is kinda similar to when Microsoft bought the rights to Banjo-Kazooie in 2008, and then Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts game came out, but then haven't had a new game for 15 Years.
I still feel this is a horrible thing for the industry and the franchises that got acquired. Xbox has no understanding of how to handle gaming well. I have a very very bad feeling about it all.
