This is so hopeful. Feel totally lost trying to learn to paint but this really helps it to make sense to me. So many people do "tutorials" that don't teach. This isn't one of them. Thank you.
started my day by eating breakfast while watching this video. it's so satisfying how sticks started making sense. im gonna watch this while making my own trees 🤣.
This is the BEST online tutorial on tree painting I've seen!!! Thank you so much for sharing your process. The background music and your voice is relaxing and makes the process seem less daunting. Your tips on how you manage your palate has helped me too.
Thank you! You explain things so well and I can see which colors you use, how much water you add, and how you are holding the brush. I can also see clearly the shape of the brush itself. These things are so important to a gouache beginner like me, and I can actually follow along.
Am I only the one who is so inspired by this video and watch till the end so curiously but never gonna try atleast for once(◍•ᴗ•◍)...but this was a feast to my eyes ..
I use just an ordinary kitchen knife to add paint to my palette. Thank you so much for sharing your process with us! For me, drawing ice (ice floes and so on) are the most challenging as well as winter scenes.
Thank you for the steps and your explanation of the process. I'm using gouache for the first time and trying to improve my painting skills. Thanks for reminding us to HAVE FUN! LOL I get caught up on wanting it to look a certain way and forget that it's supposed to be fun! :)
Wonderful and generous content for beginners, thank you. Just a question, how would you add fruit on a tree? Like lemons etc. Would you need to do first layer white under the fruit colour so it doesn't get lost in the green?
Hey, so happy to have found you. I'm an enthusiastic beginner, and learned a lot from the tree tutorial. More of the same please. I'm very interested in tutorials on bushes, grasses rocks etc. I liked the format, your teaching and the speed and length of tutorial. Many thanks. I'm a huge fan!
I'm new with gouache and painting, and I love your videos! thank you for sharing your works, tips and explanation! So helpful and fun tutorial! Have a nice day!
Editing tip for you: (I know this is a very old video and I don't even know if you are gonna see this) Make sure you shift the audio in your voice-over to mono - not stereo. In the end of this video ~13:50, you shifted compared to your microphone, and it produces some weird, not that nice, effects. It can be fixed by just making sure the audio is in mono. Honestly, in a video like this. Unless it's used as a sort of narrative effect, you can probably just make all of the audio mono.
With that said, I really like the video!! Would have loved seeing a more 'finished' version of the last painting, but the techniques you showed off were simply explained, and nicely exemplified. Good work :)
I just got this gouche set and I was wondering if you had any care tips for this set? Like how to rewet the gouche if it dries up and how to prevent mold, etc.
Hi 🥰 I made a video on how to revive your gouache set if it gets dry (it's on my channel and it was a lot of fun to do! 💕) and for mold I am not sure, I think as long as close it air tight it should be fine
My wrist/fingers always hurt if I dab paint this much, so imagine my delight when I see your brush! That looks ergonomically friendly. What brand is it?
This is super late sorryyy but the brushes I used were from the brand called DUGATO - I got mine from Amazon ( you can look up DUGATO Fine detail paint brush set and you’ll find them on Amazon ☺️)
How did you get so gooood I’m going to try this tut and hopes it comes out well I’ve only used gouache three times since getting it wug I’ve been struggling
Hi! Thanks for this. btw how thick is your sketchbook? coz i'm wondering if i can use gouache on a regular sketch book. it's quite thick but not as thick as watercolor paper
Aren't you daring? Wearing a long sleeved sweater while painting. I would never do that or my mother will not let me see my paints for the rest of my life. The painting came out beautiful😍
Could anyone tell me what kind of painting kit she was using to do all this? I don't have the right kit if anyone knows where I can find it that would be awsome
Ok, hear me out guys. 1 hour of dhanisha painting in regular speed... as a lofi playlist. i would LOVE it!!!!

Hello, I'm brand new to gouache, I'm wondering how heavy the paper is in your sketch book? Mine has 120 gsm, will that hold up to the gouache?

Yes!! You can definitely do it with acrylic too ☺️ same principles can be applied but you’ll just have to remember that acrylic will dry faster
Tysm😂💗😭😭
