Pinball Quest is a pretty unique combination of RPG and pinball that works well on some levels, and not so much on others. It's certainly worth checking out though, if only to see how completely bizarre it is.
I am surprised with this game, Looks really creative and funny. Also when pinball games need sometimes an extra effort for being more creative and enjoyable for the public. Seeing the pinball ball buying things in a store is one of the more sympathetic things I 've never seen before.
Overlooked gem. Fun and interesting game with good ideas. I remember it being obscure and greatly respected but almost unknown. I remember playing games like this and Snake Rattle and Roll and wondering why they were not hits.
I remember playing this back then. I didn't even know the title of the game a few years ago. When I first played it I was three or four so I couldn't read at the time. All I remember is the cartridge art for most of the games I played when I was a child.
Vaguely remember borrowing this is day. Thought about it once in great while for last 25 years or so, decided to see how this played out as I never got by witch, level 2
NintendoComplete I feel like the magnet was preventing the rest of the balls from helping. Pinballs are made of steel, steel is ferrous. How the hero ball was initially immune is another matter. As is how the (human?) princess is apparently ferrous herself. The hero being effected by the magnetic field is the only explanation for how the princess falls first, but the ball hits first. Look, it was clearly an evil magnet and it got what was coming to it. ...also what is that girl's mass? She hits with more force than the solid steel ball does.
There's a Transformers hack of this game called Pinball Wars, for anyone interested. The RPG mode has something to do with Rodimus being trapped in a computer or something. They even have tables for Beast Wars and Generation 2.
after final boss is beat the dance the pinball hero and the girl does before being suck into the black by the magnet was pretty funny. he was yay i won!
Never played this as a kid. I tried it just now in an emulator. Wow is it ever tedious! Great concept, but the physics suck, the rules aren't very clear or clever, and the randomness is infuriating. But you can't really lose, so you're encouraged to just keep trying and grinding and buying until you get lucky. Even with a center stopper and two floor stoppers, though, you can slip up and drop down a stage, thus losing all your stoppers... Eh well I'm not a big pinball fan in general, but it should at least be more rewarding than this game is. Still, there are worse games on the NES.
Born in 1984. Had this as a kid. Absolutely loved it. Never could beat it.
GT6SuzukaTimeTrials me too born 1984 and the play is awsesome...
Git gud. This table is hard but doesn't really make you start all over.
Born in '86 ..hours of play time.. never beat it
83 here and I wasn’t better lol
Still obsessed with this game myself at age 42
This could be a best-selling indie game nowadays.
4 years later but .. look up "Locust USA" by hwilson
It's being released on the Nintendo Switch.
@@Ronsard1979 Lol I'm not gonna pay a monthly fee to play Pinball Quest.

NintendoComplete what game capture you use to record this? I am using Roxio.
This concept needs to be revisited, but with good pinball physics.
I have an idea called PingPing the Pinball Guy.
Yoku's Island Express is kind of a modern take on it
@@theharvardyard2356 YES. I loved that game the moment I discovered it!
I mean Sonic spin ball is the closest you'll get right now. I think it would be an interesting concept
@@daltonbruce2053 Well, the game mentioned in the comments is well worth it.
Love this game.
Always STEAL from the shops.

This was how you make a fun pinball game. Create an adventure storyline.

This, NES pinball, Pin-Bot, and Family Pinball on the Famicom are great pinball games.
i remember playing this forever. I could rarely get past the first little boss. Glad to see the game in full.

Loved this game as a kid!
I had this and lost it. I've been looking for so many years for ths name of this game!
I have this game for my NES and this game had been recently optimized and re-released on the Nintendo Switch!

I never would’ve considered this until I saw John Riggs do a review. I’d play fo sho
Same
This looks pretty damn fun. I might try this one out even though I'm shite at pinball.
Good thing it doesn't matter whether or not you steal from the shop (as far as the ending goes).
Vaguely remember borrowing this is day. Thought about it once in great while for last 25 years or so, decided to see how this played out as I never got by witch, level 2
Nice game for the nes!
Miss this game so much..
Coming to Nintendo Switch on August 1st!

Este es una de los muchos juegos que tenia en el nes, que facil y sencillo uno se entretenia antes, que nostalgia.
I wonder if creators of The Ultimate Pinball Quest for Amiga/PC were inspired by this game?

We rented this from a video store from time to time. Very fun, but sometimes frustrating
Kinda reminds me of Rollers of the Realm (haven't played that one before though)
SpotOnJ2K Wow you're right. I hadn't ever heard of that one, but it looks pretty similar
I was pretty good at this game!
Great game !
I’m here because whang mentioned it in a stream

Looks like fun. Seems it wasn't released in Europe. What a shame.
it was released in australia
does that count?
@@davidthefillerman It's a bit late ;) I'm sure I would've enjoyed this game back in the day. Today, I'd prefer not to modify my console...
cool game, good music
I stole a couple times just to piss that guy off
Never beat this as a kid. Damn boss kept petrifying my ball or something and would send me back to stage 1. It was annoying as hell.
Nice
Too bad this game forces you to back track if you miss the ball with the flipper.
World Flipper's grandfather.
