There's probably some richer schools near mine that probably did too. Our art lessons were more of a chance for our teacher to not care what we did for a while so they could read Playboy under their desk.
So Alfredo absolutely put true for that alchemy question right? Like, why didn’t he say that he picked true when Jeremy thought he got it right by picking false?
VoidOfDarkness39 almost the entire video false was on the left side. Jeremy even picked a false that was on the left side. It’s designed to try and trick you for not paying attention that you click the wrong one and it tricked everyone but alfredo.
Anyone else notice when Ryan flunked out on the California question....he could have looked at the map that was a foot to the left of the question. Haha
Fun fact: Tom stayed at school, and never decided to go home after the threats of a guy fond of roses.... Although, there is a reason his fingers don't seem to work too well, as shown as he is waving hi. So maybe he did go home...
I could've sworn chemistry came from alchemy. If there is one thing I remembered from that class, not isotopes, but that alchemy was huge for chemistry
That's because it is true. If you pay attention you'll see Alfredo picked true not false. I have no idea how Jeremy came to the conclusion that he picked false
Hey, no problem man. When i heard Jeremy confirm to Ryan it was false i immediately rewinded to check what Alfredo picked. According to someone else in the comments Jeremy might have assumed it was False because he probably assumed False was on the right side instead of on the left side.
To be fair to Jeremy, I think every single time (or nearly so) the option for false was on the right side. Alfredo highlighted it and locked in pretty fast so I could see how you only notice he picked the right side and assume he must have picked false
PantMal I mean it's geography, you either know it or you don't. It's not exactly stressed here in America where i am so i can understand it being lesser known. True story, once asked a friend to draw a picture of the world amd she left out the entire continent of Africa.
Well I think most people would agree that it's basic knowledge, so maybe such thing should be more stressed in America. I mean, how can you know anything about the world if you don't know its own map?
PantMal I agree geography is pretty basic stuff and in general I'd expect people to know it, but I don't think it's true that you need geography to understand the world. You can still get everything that's happening, from world events, to different cultures, ect. Geography just helps you understand where specifically everything is happening. I'd say geography is part of understanding the world, but not knowing it isn't really going to stop you from understanding other bits of the world
Classmate is good at English and Math. Picks Inventors. Calls kid an idiot for getting a wrong answer. And we thought Geoff was the only oblivious one, lol
I believe the fact of the matter is that a Rooster Teeth veteran employee by the name of James Ryan Haywood, of their "Achievement Hunter" branch, was unaware that the state of Nevada shares a border with the state of California. Does that clear things up?
The question at 6:30 really bugs me. All four people invented things to do with communication. Bell Invented the telephone. Tesla had several patented inventions involving wireless control and power transmission. Morse invented the single wire telegraph. Hoe invented modifications and advancements to rotary printing presses (think how newspaper is printed from a continuous scroll). Only one person didn't have an invention to do with *telecommunications*, but newspaper media is certainly a form of mass communication.
I'm only halfway through this video, but the fact that both Ryan and Michael didn't know which state California shares a border with is shocking tbh also I don't really blame them for missing it, only reason I knew the Louisiana state bird was because of the Pelicans being the basketball team, so that was my guess lol
How often would you ever need to know that in Texas, and how easy is it to just pull up a map on the device with access to all human knowledge that they all have in their pocket?
Wing0Alchemist you wouldn't really need to know it, so I get why a lot of people might not get that. if you know the states around the West Coast and their shapes, you'd get it pretty easily. but I know people probably don't remember that stuff
Man that first question reminded me how I actually enjoyed math class in high school. That’s when I realized I was pretty good at it and when I got a tutor I had such a great time. I like figuring things out so.
Tom has reluctantly come back to our show after beating beaten by a previous contestant in the parking lot, and not making it home that night for supper.
Mark Twain also is a measurement used for measuring the depth needed for a paddle boat to float in the river. It's 12 feet, even though Mark Twain is currently 6 ft under...
"Prime Factors are number that divide evenly into the integer, leaving no remainders." Wow, that makes SOOOO much more sense to me at age 34 than it did at age 10. I didn't understand what they meant by the word remainder at all in 1995.
The improv question was bullshit. Is it new compared to the hundreds of years of acting history? Yes. Is it new as in it was invented last year? No. It wasn't specific enough.
Then you remeber he created a machine to prank Gavin using a motor and basic electrical components, something beyond the abilities of most people. Its almost like people don't know everything and have strengths and weaknesses. Which is harder and which can be answered by a casual glance at a map on the incredibly rare event you need to know?
something that urks me about these types of quiz games is that you pick something from, let's say, 9th grade and the question is something you'd never expect a 9th grader to know. like french. "translate this sentence: *insert french sentence here*". i think they took the highest level of the grades and thought "yeah, that's what kids are learning these days. how to speak high level french at the age of 13".
I love that there is a US map on the left side of the screen when they're picking their answer and Ryan still didn't know what state borders California 😂😭
I love how normally dumb AH is. All of them have their areas of expertise but none of them are geniuses. ;) I love you all. So happy to watch these videos. Thank you
True story Tom never made it home that night because I beat the shit out of him on the street.
The reason why you can't see one of his hands is because I beat them with a hammer.
I understood that reference xD
The profile pic of Red Hood fits the comment so well
Steve Rogers: I understood that reference.
Wait why is Tom here? I thought he was murdered in the street by someone I can’t remember.
I forgot about that!
Did you see his face or fingers? He obviously took some lumps.
He's still in the 5th grade after all this time, he's not all there anymore (worst comment I've ever wrote)
Adam Nicholls it may be the worst you wrote, but it's still funny as shit.
Fuck , that's right, what was the guys name?
Good to see Tom's finally returned from his beating.
His hands never recovered
I see they found a replacement Tom since that unfortunate incident last time.
Well you need to do make some sacrifices after a guy fond of roses kills a child in the middle of the street
15:30
(picture of a bucket appears on screen)
everyone in the room: BUUUH-CKET.
Emma Mercier I laughed so hard at the fact that they all did it without missing a beat and all simultaneously said it at the same time.
This is what being an Achievement Hunter does to you. It's a programmed response. They have no conscious memory of even doing it, either.
The problem is, it was a pail.
Ah yes, I remember well all those lessons I had on baroque paintings in 5th grade
JayHayz in Russia we actually do have art lessons in 5th grade. And we did touch this theme
There's probably some richer schools near mine that probably did too. Our art lessons were more of a chance for our teacher to not care what we did for a while so they could read Playboy under their desk.
In my schools, I didn't even hear the word tertiary until like, 8th or 9th grade much less baroque. I don't think I ever heard that word until today.
NHK LM not gonna lie, I didn't even know tertiary colors were a thing. Like who cares they're just colors, I don't need to know what species they are
I definitely learned this at my school, and it was far from a rich school
"Oh I can only pick kids I haven't done before." Jeremy Dooley 2018
Tom is hoping the new members are nicer than the previous minority
And Alfredo picks him first...
Tom's boutta gonna get some ethnicity PTSD...
generic lets play watcher and he was insulted almost immediately by everyone
@@generictimestamperstupendi9021 I think you just mean racism lol
So Alfredo absolutely put true for that alchemy question right? Like, why didn’t he say that he picked true when Jeremy thought he got it right by picking false?
Kyle Davidson Because True is normally on the left so Alfredo probably thought he picked false
VoidOfDarkness39 almost the entire video false was on the left side. Jeremy even picked a false that was on the left side. It’s designed to try and trick you for not paying attention that you click the wrong one and it tricked everyone but alfredo.
Scrolled too far down for this
It's possible it _also_ tricked Alfredo, but, it worked out because either way, he got it right.
It's just a standard "false or true" question. Didn't you always do "false or true" questions in school?
Anyone else notice when Ryan flunked out on the California question....he could have looked at the map that was a foot to the left of the question. Haha
Looks like Tom isn't absent today, hopefully his attendance has improved!
Amazed he is still there, thought he got murked
I'm shocked he's still in 5th grade after all these years
Wolffang731 *Michael picks Katie*
Jeremy- "Good pick"
😏
Didn't he not make it home after the events of last episode?
Fun fact: Tom stayed at school, and never decided to go home after the threats of a guy fond of roses....
Although, there is a reason his fingers don't seem to work too well, as shown as he is waving hi. So maybe he did go home...
Some say Toms screams of fear from the approaching Puerto Rican man can still be heard
Fun fact: Tom has that stupid wave from a concussion he suffered after getting beaten in the street by a former contestant.
30:10 that transition tho👌
You think Neptune has a long cycle, Pluto still hasn't made a full roundabout of the sun since we discovered it.
@TheChiller007
You heard about Pluto? That's messed up.
"Tom is probably the smartest of them all". Gee well AH really needs to catch up on how Tom's neck caps went after last time.
I didn’t know necks had caps
Innovamania all necks have caps, called heads
"5rd grade biology, what is the common name for the patella?"
"I'm gonna go with Neck Cap?"
G . i . t . M . 😂😂😂
Here's hoping for the june 14th question again.
What's "the june 14th question"?
LforLight What is the third Wednesday in June, if May 3rd falls on a Wednesday? The answer is the 21st but Gavin picked June 14
my site thank you for explaining why everyone is saying June 14th.
Daeg it's from the first time they played this
"Im going to give my kid a peek" is a voice clip you don't want to be out there
how about "oh, I can only pick kids I haven't done before!"
Fun fact tom never made it home that day
the moldy Potatoe once again Tom gets the shit beat out of him by an ethnic minority again.
the moldy Potatoe once again Tom gets the shit beat out of him by an ethnic minority.
Doesn't look like Tom has healed from thar Brown beating
"It's not on his greatest hits" Tesla's 2 greatest hits are AC electricity and radio, communication is well within his domain.
27:50 it’s true not false
"I can only pick kids i haven't done before" *_- Jeremy 2018_*
June 14th
"FUCKING 14TH!?"
No.
Wow you just gave him the answer!
I still cant believe Alfredo flashed Lindsay
Alexander Halvardsson
Ikr?! Found out on the siege stream he did RIGHT AFTER IT HAPPENED :P
Shocked to see Tom is still here
Um in 5th grade I didn't learn about mountains on other planets wtf
Good thing it was a Sea on the Moon then
Jeremy flexing his art degree 10:58
Hey, he's gotta put it to use somewhere right? :D
... On a 1st grade question.
Like... the hell, school, why you do dis.
Liam MrFluffles oh okay. I guess I didn't see him lock it in and just heard Jeremy say that he picked false. So thanks for clearing that up
Hey, no problem man.
I knew it was Nevada and I'm not even American...
PantMal Dang you're cool
It is sad when a Canadian knows the answer but a bunch of current Texans don't
PantMal
I mean it's geography, you either know it or you don't. It's not exactly stressed here in America where i am so i can understand it being lesser known. True story, once asked a friend to draw a picture of the world amd she left out the entire continent of Africa.

"Oh no! I can only pick kids I haven't done before!" - Jeremy 2018
If someone told me that I had to retake Algebra today, I'd probably end myself
I love how on ryan's geography question, there is a map of the states right next to the board.
Also to clarify, not ragging on them, just ironic.
I love that Tom's fingers are still fucked up from that time a Puerto Rican smashed his hand. What attention to detail
RYAN DIDNT KNOW NEVADA BORDERED CALIFORNIA? WHAT?!??
Tall Blake the pain was immensely growing the longer he went without picking it.
RYAN WHY
he must've had a brain fart during that moment
I believe the fact of the matter is that a Rooster Teeth veteran employee by the name of James Ryan Haywood, of their "Achievement Hunter" branch, was unaware that the state of Nevada shares a border with the state of California. Does that clear things up?
So half the comments are people either saying June 14th or talking about tom’s beating. Well done, you remembered the last time they played this
Cameron domes hard to forget those moments
Cameron domes It was a dark day for one 5th grader
Holy shit...Ryan and Michael's knowledge of where California is hilarious.
Can't have this game without Gavin
The question at 6:30 really bugs me. All four people invented things to do with communication. Bell Invented the telephone. Tesla had several patented inventions involving wireless control and power transmission. Morse invented the single wire telegraph. Hoe invented modifications and advancements to rotary printing presses (think how newspaper is printed from a continuous scroll). Only one person didn't have an invention to do with *telecommunications*, but newspaper media is certainly a form of mass communication.
I see that Tom made it home safely that night
27:29 He *did* pick True, geniuses; learn to read.
YuGiJoe89 when you accidentally pick the right answer
Bucket litterally made me squeal
I'm only halfway through this video, but the fact that both Ryan and Michael didn't know which state California shares a border with is shocking tbh

Funny story, Tom didn't make it home that night, because Achievement Hunter beat the shit out of him!
Seems Tom has recovered from the severe beating in the street
"man we don't know what's going on!"
I wonder if hammering skip a million times is related
...nah probably not
I knew the the treasure island question because I remembered treasure Planet movie and that cyborg was a cook
California doesn't touch New Mexico 😂🤣
No Gavin? How we gonna know what the third Wednesday is in June, if May third falls on a Wednesday?
Supernando it wasn't the 14th, that's for sure...
Did anyone else realize that Michael was the first one to flunk out both times that they played this game
Please play more of this in the future. Was fun to watch.
I want an AH Best Of video that includes the picture of a bucket showing up and everyone saying "Buucket"
Which word begins with the same sound as knight? Now or Needle?
I love the audience members who are sitting behind the classroom wall. Like what are they even watching?
I got such a surreal feeling realizing how much has changed between this lets play and the first Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader lets play.
"Tom didn't make it home that night because I beat the shit out of him in the parking lot!"
Michael was HILARIOUS in this!
"I can only pick kids I haven't done yet"
Oh my god impressionism I’m screaming
true story tom never made it home that night cause he got the shit beat out of him in the parking lot
i love how it went from "what type of art is this" which understandably not everyone will get, but then it goes to the next question "which is meat?"
Its so nice to see Alfredo in a video where he's not lumped in as "a twin."
24:31 Jeremy learning well from Burnie I guess
Man that first question reminded me how I actually enjoyed math class in high school. That’s when I realized I was pretty good at it and when I got a tutor I had such a great time. I like figuring things out so.
So it looks like Tom survived getting powerbombed through his desk xD
The amount of comments regarding Tom's presence is amazing and hilarious 😂
The best part about Ryan picking New Mexico, was that there was a map of the US next to the chalkboard!
I've waited for them to do another Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader Let's Play for years
I see Tom has been studying!
Ryan explained prime numbers better than four years of high school.
Tom has reluctantly come back to our show after beating beaten by a previous contestant in the parking lot, and not making it home that night for supper.
I like how Alfredo got the easiest first question of anyone, and he got it wrong
Mark Twain also is a measurement used for measuring the depth needed for a paddle boat to float in the river. It's 12 feet, even though Mark Twain is currently 6 ft under...
Possibly won’t be as iconic as the first one but it’s still going to be great
Kinda wish they do a part 2 on this.
Jeremy: Oh no I can only pick kids I haven’t done before!
Michael: Well.... don’t say that.
"Prime Factors are number that divide evenly into the integer, leaving no remainders." Wow, that makes SOOOO much more sense to me at age 34 than it did at age 10. I didn't understand what they meant by the word remainder at all in 1995.
I have spent many nights praying to the video game gods that they would play this again
The improv question was bullshit. Is it new compared to the hundreds of years of acting history? Yes. Is it new as in it was invented last year? No. It wasn't specific enough.
I love these kind of videos in particular because it allows me to test myself and see Am I Smarter Then An Achievement Hunter
Sometimes you think Ryan is smart, and then you remember that he thinks that only one state separates Texas and California.
Absolutely flummoxed at how Ryan of all people chose New Mexico
Huh, Tom is still alive. And here I thought he had a accident.
something that urks me about these types of quiz games is that you pick something from, let's say, 9th grade and the question is something you'd never expect a 9th grader to know. like french.

"It's a proven science, like global cooling"-Grif
Yes I definitely remember learning about the form of improv acting in first grade
I love how normally dumb AH is. All of them have their areas of expertise but none of them are geniuses. ;) I love you all. So happy to watch these videos. Thank you
Michael: It could be a red herring...
Me: No Michael, it's about birds, not fish
Ryan: That sound pretty coy.
Me: god damn it.
Looks like tom recovered from his injures
I’ve been waiting a long time for them to play this again.
Tom dared to come back because the salty brown man is gone.
24:31 Damn Jeremy. First the white van from GTA now this.
we all knew why tom's fingers were moving weirdly.....
Now I’m in the mood for them to release another Trivial Pursuit.
"I WENT TO AN ART COLLEGE!!!"
"THAT EXPLAINS WHY YOU DON'T.....well, know some shit....."
20:38 Ben Franklin was doing more than just...yep XD
"Ben Franklin he was doing more than just fuckin finches".. that was Darwin lol
Alfredo picks True at the Alchemy question
Ryan: "So wait, was it false?"
Jeremy: "Yeah it was false"
God damn it Jeremy
