i truly appreciated this video. i know that you made this a while ago, but it’s new to me, because i found your channel a few weeks ago, and i’m trying to catch up on all your videos. i’ve wanted to try jones road since she came out with the dusty rose bronzer/blush because i’m reallllly cool/pink under toned, and i think this would work on me along with a little bronzer, and the little bit of cream contour i use. i also want to try her eyeshadows and lip tints as well, because some of the shades look quite beautiful. the new rose looks STUNNING on you and the mocha shade are on my list. 😍😍😍
This Jones Road bronzer looks very similar to Bobbi Brown's bronzer in Antigua which I think has been discontinued. Unfortunately, Jones Road isn't sold in Australia - yet? We're always last on the list down here! 🇦🇺
I love the bronzer blush hybrid products like this and Bobbi Brown Antigua and the Bare Minerals blonzers. I use them in place of bronzer, highlighter and blush. I just use them high on my cheeks and temples and lightly across my nose. Gives dimension and color and glow in one fell swoop! I’m very fair with a peachy and slightly yellow undertone. Great video as usual ❤
Antigua! That product brings back memories. When that launched I bought Antigua and a more traditional bronzer shade and I’m pretty sure these were my first bronzers! I wonder how close the dusty road is to the Antigua…
Jennifer, u explained the rose bronzer perfectly! I had no idea how to use that product or what the end result would look like. Luckily, I don’t struggle w/this particular issue. I can only imagine that it would be very frustrating to find & know how to use it, if u did need this type of shade. I had to change to mainly clean beauty on my eyes due to chronic allergic reactions. VBB has been a life savor for eye liner. Caliray is an amazing mascara. Sigma & VBB r pretty much my go to’s for eyeshadow. This was a great video.
Goodness, you look gorgeous. Be thankful for your hair. As I have gotten older mine has gotten so thin. I think I might buy a topper. I love the JR rose bronzer on you. I’m glad you mentioned fair with olive tone skin as that would be me. thanks Jennifer
Oh, I'm so thrilled, I had to buy the white sparkly cute brushes. My brushes are getting old and worn. I hope I will love them, they look so luxurious.
I cant-wait to watch this. Something different as well. I love your hair wavy. I wish I had half of it, also some of the curl. I have waist long hair. It’s so thin and straight tho (can’t tell it’s that long) Thanks for this today. Very nice 😊. Edit I am pale as well. I’m light in summer. Very light. I stay away from sun (hard living in Az ) 😮
I haven’t tried anything from Jones Road yet but I might try the bronzer if they have a shade for me. As far as clean brands go I have so much Merit. I really enjoy the brand. Thanks for the review. Great look.
I love the Jones Road in Dusty Rose, and it's not more of a blush for me. It's actually bronzer for me. I follow another beauty influencer who is also very pale like me and people have been quite critical of her about using it as a bronzer, which is odd, but some people just can't understand what it's like to be very pale. Some of us can't tan! This IS what color we turn in the sun! Finally, some makeup manufacturers are bringing the very pale amongst us some products we can use. I don't care about the Jones Road being "clean" for my skin, because I think that is just a marketing scheme, and "clean" beauty products often don't last as long and can actually be harmful due to not having proper preservatives. I do care about less environmental impact. I only bought the bronzer for the color, though, because I'm not a JR fan.
I agree with you about the colours of bronzer. I have fair neutral skin & it certainly doesn't turn yellow or orange when the sun hits it. This is a very unnatural look IMO. My skin turns pinky red when the sun hits it, then fades into a neutral brown tan, so this is the colour I try & emulate with the bronzer. I often wear blush as a contour/ blonzer, placing some on my nose & high up on the hairline a la Wayne Goss style.
I Love your hair! If my natural curl looked like that, I'd wear it that way all the time. I'm glad you showed blush higher on the cheek. I apply mine that way and I find it more flattering and sophisticated than blush on the apples of cheeks. As for olive undertones, I'm Light with olive undertones, and a color like this one, from Jones Road, should work for me. In fact those yellow bronzers, on Fair to Light skins with olive undertones, look jaundiced. I might try that Jones Road product. The lip color is beautiful too. Thanks for the video!💚
Have you picked up the new Saie foundation? It’s a light to medium coverage and super hydrating and glowing. I got it then set with Demi matte powder and it’s super comfy. I also love layer the Merit over light coverage /tinted moisturizer. I need the dusty rose bronzer I like it for blush . I actually grab the tan bronzer it’s light but can build up ❤
👋🏻 I’m your friend that prefers clean beauty and a natural/simple look. Love the caliray mascara and the Jones Road face stick. I struggle with finding a merit stick shade that matches, but I love their lippies and cream blush (although I wished it lasted longer). I’m interested in the Jones Road bronzer in tan. The dusty rose is really pretty on you 😍
I wish folks WOULD spend a bit of time understanding how what they purchase does affect the environment! and their health! Seriously, the science is just not that complicated! Here are two easy-peasy approaches to buying good quality make-up and other cosmetic or beauty products: 1) cruelty-free-is the finished product or any of its components tested on animals? By 2024, there is little reason for most research and industry to need to use chemicals that need that level of testing on an actual animal. Cell cultures really can tell us just about everything we need to know (unless it’s a medicine or cancer drug, get the difference?) One organization that tracks companies is cruelty-free kitty. And btw if your product is sold in China-has to be tested on animals-China still requires it 😳🙄 2) Does the product contain silicon? -look for dimethicone, look for the -cone suffix. -siloxanes: Silicone-oxygen bonds are manmade and so strong they will not ever breakdown or be recycled. Ever. It’s part of the stuff being found in the polar ice cap, breast milk, etc… Nasty stuff, people. Third worst polluting chemicals :( Supposedly the EU is trying to reduce the use of these compounds. Great replacements for the silky silicon “feel” in facial products include coconut alkanes, sugar-cane derived squalane-awesome! Check out Indie Lee for ex. here’s a source davidsuzuki.org/living-green/dirty-dozen-siloxanes/ www.thankyourbody.com/silicone-free-foundations/ 3) want to go further? check out who is mining the sparkly mica (silica based (NOT silicone!) that goes into your makeup…where is it mined? does the source company use child-labor? I ❤️ Antigua! Beautiful on fair skin. I will likely hit pan.
I recently purchased the Antigua bronzer from the BB product line, so don’t think it has been discontinued.

I just got the Jones Road Dusty Rose bronzer today, it’s truly a blush-tour shade, perfect for lighter neutral/cool skin tones.

As long as a product works for you that’s all that matters! Each person should be able to choose the products they love and use them as they wish 😉

do you think that bronzer would work well as blush for a light medium neutral to warm complexion? i think it would be a lovely blush shade 😂
Curious- is the Jones Road rose bronzer simular to the Gucci rosy beige blush?
I was just about to ask this exact question!
I would use the Jones Rose as a blush.
Georgeous! qq: best dupe for chanel golden sun blush? Thank you!
Oohh. That’s a tough one. I’ll look around my blushes 😊
