buddy real estate is easier said than done and especially in todays market. these realtors are living in lala land. every tom dick and harry is a realtor. most of them dont even have a command of the language let alone the real estate industry. in todays market all i see is a bunch of losers trying to make a bunch of losers to do something.
Real estate dealing is for people with highly developed sales skills. It is not the bunch of people who are getting their licenses are losers. Simply, they do not have the skills or acumen to sale. Not all people are sales people. Thus, these people are better off seeking a different line of business. But definitely, Real Estate well done is a multi-million business, but not for all. I.e., not all scientists are capable of becoming millionaires, but there are a few who hit breakthroughs that are used by people with the skill to sell them to the world and make them a real life reality. Take Einstein, he was not rich, but people who transformed his theories into reality became millionaires.
Other part of success is losing the fear of bending rules. Through his recommendations, this coach, who is also a successful realtor, they promote tools like Vulcan, which basically provides phones and information on people selling homes. Yet, calling these phone numbers for a cold call is illegal in most states in the US. Thus Vulcan provides the numbers, but have a disclaimer in their own tool stating that nobody legally could use those numbers for cold calls. Most people who use Vulcan still use the numbers and some are successful (very, literally, very few), and the great majority do not, because they do not figure out the scripts and give up after a few tries due to most people just hung-upping their calls or simply not answering. It is a matter of persistency and knowing what you want to achieve with a plan, but beyond that, the skill and acumen.
In my personal experience, buying and selling about 14 homes, I can’t stand realtors or there unjustified commissions. Maybe I just hate the commissions because I feel in todays markets, for a educated buyer or seller a realtor in non value added. I just bought another foreclosure last week, no buyers agent, the selling agent was the laziest worthless person. Only houses sell houses, and the process needs reduced to a 500 dollar transaction.
