Hello! I know some of you have enjoyed the comic stories of A.J. Alan that I've covered on the channel before...so here's another. Coming very soon I've got a story by a wonderful LIVING author who has allowed me to read her work... LIKE, COMMENT and, if you haven't already, SUBSCRIBE and never miss an episode.
I am an Edward Gorey "devotee". Each morning performing my ablution, I gaze at The Toothpaste Murder; the typical " befuddled Edwardian" audacious glass jars, quite naughty on his wall and I can't help but "hear" A.J.'s voice. I wonder if Mr. Gorey was a fan?
Delightful! Remember when Bugs Bunny was thrown out of an airplane & saved himself by sloshing on a concoction that "stopped falling hare." Alan spent a lot of good writing to get his laugh - & it was worth it! (Pretty sure the hair restorer was made by Acme.)
@EnCrypted Classic Horror. Indeed , one should ! Jasper , I would like to recommend a channel to you and (if you approve) hopefully you will pass it along to the gang here . Now , I don't recommend lightly as my reputation is tied to my recommendation ( goes for anyone) , and don't want someone thinking ; "What was Jeff thinking ? What a waste of time !" , and I don't want that , y'know ? Sooo , the channel is A Tale At Midnight and has been around for about a year but has slow growth . Like your stuff it is full production , i.e. not just narration . The stories feature original sound , art , and a female narrator who has a magnificent voice for the subject matter . Man , right beside you , they are my favorite channel . Like you , it is obvious that they get it . Like you , it is obvious that they care about the quality of their stuff ! The output isn't super high but they have a nice catalog built up . (One guy does their music , one guy does the art and special effects.....yes , multiple original art per story , and , as I said , a gal narrating .). It is apparent that much care and effort is put into their pieces which , I am sure , you can/will appreciate as I feel the same way about your stuff ! Will you please check them out when you have time ? Any story there is good . The first one I heard is called "Shambleau".... and , man , I was hooked ! I recommend them with utter confidence , as I would your channel ! And , hey , you know I have great taste and class , right ? Afterall , YOU are my favorite channel , so you know that I know whereof I speak ! Lol. 💀🎱💀
@@jeffreese1828 Thanks Jeff. I was considering "Shambleau" for the channel and re-reading it reminded me that I had seen/heard the Tale At Midnight folks' recording some months back. I agree, nice presentation, and good female narrator. I put out recommendations on the Community tab from time to time, so will be sure to give them a shout out. Cheers!
I love the ones where I'm forced to say, 'what the----' several times in the telling, and then once more, with feeling, at the very end. I have no idea what just happened; still enjoyed it immensely.
I keep seeing Edward Gorey's befuddled, occasionally murderous, Edwardians, just going about their day...Coincidences oft beset them to, how oddly humorous and vexing...blancmange anybody?

I do remember that Bugs Bunny bit. I do love some Looney Tunes (and Merrie Melodies, as it happens).
Lol ! I do remember that ! And , surely , it was an ACME product , "Proudly supplying cartoon characters for over 70 years " . 💀🎱💀
Well, he was a curious blighter😊. Great story and narration.
Another stellar story choice & narration by our friend Jasper... Which never fails to take my fancy!
Thanks Terry! Glad you enjoyed it.
This was so quirky (if rather follicly challenged), and I loved it! Hope you decide to do more of his little tales. ❤
So good! You always capture & then hold me completely enthralled! Thanks Jasper! 😍
Thank you, Teda 🙏
Glorious 😃👻
Miss your content !!!
Not checking to see if a container unscrewed the other way is very silly and very relatable
Yes. That's the kind of mistake I make all the time.
Thank you very much🤗
You're welcome, Jacky! Thanks for listening.
Wow! I need to listen to it a second time.
Thanks Jared!
Creepy little tale..reminds me somewhat of an anglo version of the Japanese manga ‘Death Note.’
Haha! It would be great to learn that 'Death Note' was directly inspired by A.J. Alan 😃
Good whimsical little tale ! 💀🎱💀
Thank you, Jeff! One should always make room for a spot of whimsy.
