That metal ruler with the handle is awesome! Never seen one like that before!
It's great, eh?!
Hi Helen, I hope you had a fantastic Summer! One question on the video: years ago, instead of cutting, I had to merge 2 wedi boards. A friend commissioned me a full length mosaic mirror (160 cm x 60 cm) and as the only wedi I could afford at that time was 120 x 60, I cemented an extra 40 x 60 wedi on one side and cemented the mosaic on the other side. Although it worked, I feel it wasn't the best of the ideas... If you had to make a 2.5m x 40 cm mosaic, what would you do? Many thanks again for all your golden videos! Ivan
Great demo. Thanks Helen.
Thanks Donna! 😀
Helen, I am working on a new commission using ceramics, (plates, saucers, bowls) to make a highland cow, about 22-24 inches square. Will this board hold a lot of weight? I plan to use thinset and will have a barnwood board that the wedi board will go onto, so the hanging devices will be screwed into the barnwood backing. Thank yo for your expertise.
Thanks for your question. This board doesnt hold a lot of weight on its own but if it is supported by the barn board I am sure will be fine.
Hi , where can I buy the wediboard or the jacko board. I live in Las Vegas Nevada
Sorry for the late reply on this. You can buy Wedi in the States from tile supply shops. I hope you find some!
Straight lines look simple but
can I easily cut curves aswell ?
Yes, you can use a jig saw tool which will cut through it like butter 😀
