- Learn how to make this easy fake bake candy. I turned one of my favorite candies into a craft DIY...fake salt water taffy. This candy fake bake is so simple and is perfect for Christmas candyland decorations, a state fair theme tiered tray or a fake Halloween candy decoration.

I can see these in my wooden bowl with some of the other fake candies. Do some for Halloween using Halloween colors,candy corns,fake popcorn balls(small ones),suckers,etc.. What do you think about that idea? THANK YOU for all you do.I have one of your tote bags & boy that thing is so sturdy.
Yes, that will be so cute! I'm glad you like the tote bag! I have 3 of them and they come in so handy. I did a lot of research to find some that weren't flimsy.
Hi! I have a question...can you use colored clay? Wont the color from the paint Bleed into the white being that close together and drying?
I ask this bc I made Oreos a while back and used paint to color the top parts of the oreos and put them with the white cream while wet and 6 months later I noticed the color from the paint in the tops of the oresos bled into the white cream center =(
Im thinking if you use colored foam clay, it'll be less likely to bleed?
Im late to the party, as usual, lol, but Im going to give it a whirl, you might not see this comment bc Im so late, lol! My moms bday is coming up and I want to make some bc she has real ones on display on her butcher block island and we keep eating them, hahaa!! This will be perfect! Thanks for this one... I may not find out til too late that you CANT use colored foam bc THAT might bleed...but if so, Ill let ya know!
No it doesn't bleed. Did you use spackling for the cream center on your Oreos? The color will bleed onto spackling but I've never had that happen with clay on clay. Could depend on the brand too.
@@CassieSmallwood Ohh thank you for responding so fast, lol, I havent even started on these yet so perfect timing to check my email, lol! I didnt use spackle for the center of the oresos, just foam clay, I only used Model Magic when I made them a year ago & added paint to color any of the foam clay I used. I stuck them together wet without glue and let them dry. I went to take out some summer ones to use in a few shakes and thats when I noticed they bled. Some colors worse than others. Ill prob just paint over the white center. I also may have mixed some colored clay in w the white, but I used model magic colored clay too. I was super surprised myself bc it didnt do it right away, it did it over the year it sat in a bin which was odd, lol!
I ended up getting a great offer on one of those mixed foam clay packs for kids so I have tons of different colors, but just a small amount, enough to make embellishments....these are perfect too!
