That is correct - Well spotted!
This is really helpful thanks for this!
Anytime, Paper 2 will be uploaded soon!
there is always a graph drawing question every year as well.
Remember:
Label x and y axis, make sure to include units
Carefully place each point
Draw curved line of best fit passing through all points
no graph 1 this year
@@upantoni there was a bar chart question for triple higher for us

For the question about the hypertonic solution wouldn't the cell become turgid as the water is moving into the cell so the vacuole begins to swell
In a hypertonic solution, the opposite occurs: the cell becomes plasmolyzed, not turgid. This is because a hypertonic solution has a higher concentration of solutes outside the cell compared to inside. As a result, water moves out of the cell through osmosis to try to balance the solute concentrations on both sides of the cell membrane. This loss of water causes the cell (and its vacuole) to shrink, leading to plasmolysis where the cell membrane pulls away from the cell wall in plants. Turgidity occurs in a hypotonic solution, where water moves into the cell, causing the vacuole to swell and the cell to become firm. Let me know if that makes sense!
in 0:40 would it not be chloroplasts cause it says it in the question, or you can just use chloroplasts or chlorophyll interchangeably?
Your right that chlorophyll is the pigment in chloroplast that traps light however the first line in the question states “which parts of the cell labelled above” so chloroplast is correct as its the one thats labelled on the diagram.
That was a good paper. Onto chemistry paper 1 we go🙏
thanks :)
I'm finished clawg
First question it's just chloroplast, no?
will you be doing a chemistry paper before next friday?
Yes! I plan to have it uploaded before Wednesday.
where can i download this
Hi! You can get this paper with the mark scheme using this link: www.stuvia.com/doc/5038667/gcse-biology-aqa-paper-1-2024-predicted-paper-with-mark-scheme
isn't b(ii)
because osmosis is from a higher concentration to a lower concentration, therefore the water can not create pressure within the cell because there would then be a higher concentration of water in the cell
Nah keep it simple man, the cell wall is rigid
don’t overthink it 😭 the cell wall is made of cellulose which strengthens the cell and prevents it from bursting; instead it turns turgid
Watched all of it, may not be as cooked as I thought I be 👩🍳👨🍳
is this triple
Yes. It’s triple award/Single Science for Biology.
