@@miltonmoore8369 Here in England in the mid to late sixties we had our own Johnny Duncan,a Texan who was serving in the US Air Force. He formed the Bluegrass Boys and played regular gigs all over Britain. Mandolin was his instrument and he was the first guy saw playing an instrument behind his head. I know you don’t do Bluegrass, but he did have a pop hit, “Last Train To San Fernando!”
I just googled this other Johnny Duncan, who was actually born in Tennessee but moved to Texas, then to England, returned to the USA, then back to England, then moved to New South Wales, Australia, where he died from cancer, coincidentally at the same age as the Texas Johnny Duncan, at age 67. This "blue grass" and "skiffle" Tennessee born Johnny Duncan lived about the same time as the Texan, from 1932 to 2000. I listened to a "blue grass" song that his daughter Jojo left a comment on. One of his grandchildren also left a comment. Also watched the "Last Train to San Fernando" which featured photos of one of those small, almost toy-like trains that was near a lake. The last image on the video was a sign that read: ALLSUP MILK STOP. I don't care for high-pitched voices but his was actually the best one I have ever heard for tonal quality and good vibrato, rather than that typical "flat" hillbilly moaning style of singing. Thanks.😊
Thanks. This song was on some channel for years, and I guess the channel disappeared, and my long comment with it. I posted a new one above. [The song is on the Topic channel, but it prohibits comments.😫😬] With gratitude for posting so many fine songs on your channel, which I have commented on over the years.😊
