Exactly. I thought they were going to mention that Ding got the best score out of any player in the second half of the 20/21 candidates, which is true.

Ding has been nothing short of amazing. A very underrated chess. His entire journey to the top has been nothing but inspirational to many, in the world of chess and people outside the world of chess. This man has had a 100 unbeaten streak in classical which was ONLY surpassed by Carlsen. This man was the first Chinese chess player to cross 2800. This man is the first Chinese world champion. This man is Ding Liren.
This next world championship match is going to be fireworks, a real generational match!

The world chess championship does not have the prestige it once enjoyed (Fischer, Alekhine, Lasker, Capablanca, Kasparov etc) . For some time it has been the number 1 in the Fide ratings.
