Thanks Jon that really means alot buddy! I been meaning to make a video explaining how I use my FEL and how I grade with the bucket; Iv just been buying myself some time so I can figure out a good way to explain it all. For me its one of those things where I do it with out much thought so I have to start breaking it down in my head so that when the time comes I'm able to explain what I'm doing as I'm actually doing it cuz I've had a lot of questions lately regarding the way I grade with the FEL. Thanks for watching!
@@BiffsEquipment yeah have him make a guest appearances. And interview the fucker. Lol I miss going to Auburn with him every year. I just bought a bobcat 2040 . I get it in aug . Haha! Great comment, made me laugh out loud. Hope you been doing good buddy and have caught up on my newest videos! Sorry I’m just seeing this comment now! UA-cam has been funny lately. I hope you’re doing well!
Biff, Artillian should be paying you as a product demonstrator. You're adeptness with the FEL controls makes the stump bucket look really good. The power of your BX continues to impress me.
Haha thanks Sean I really appreciate that man! Artillian is a great company for sure and I love standing behind a good company and showing people what their products are made of.. Its one of the reasons I made my channel on my Kubota BX cuz I really believed in the machine.. Ill never show you guys anything I don't agree with or wouldn't use myself that's for sure. Stay safe out there!
I can see Kubota contacting you soon with some freebies, this is the best advertising they could get. I am thinking seriously about getting one. love these videos. Thanks
Thanks man I really appreciate it! I'm glad my videos are helping people realize what these little tractors are capable of.. its the whole reason I started this channel cuz IMO there wasn't enough good videos out there specially ones who could consistently show the BX proving its worth haha. Maybe ill get lucky some day and Kubota will send me a free tractor to test for them but I wont hold my breath lol. Thanks for watching!
Just another great video, showing some real skilled craftsmanship of tractoring. Love your no nonsense videos; they're to the point with little wasted time but also well produced with great angles. Keep up the great work. If I can get to 25% of your skill level I'll die a happy guy. Thx.
Thanks man I appreciate it very much. You keep practicing you’ll surely get there, I’v had a lot of seat time on odd jobs and what not which certainly helps 👍🏻
Thanks buddy! You did the same thing I did when I finally popped it out of the ground you can almost see the surprise in my face as I saw just how big that stump truly was! Reminded me of an Ice Burg!
Thanks buddy! I agree pulling stumps is alot of fun, it allows you to really give the tractor one heck of a workout and anytime I can make it work hard and blow black smoke is a good time in my book! Hope you enjoyed your 4th!
Thanks Frank glad you enjoyed it buddy. I certainly did have the tires off the ground with the John Deere, it was a bit sketchy too being so close to that ditch on my left side as I was backing up that incline with one tire perched up in the air but we got er' done!
Great video that last stump you removed was amazing. I can see what you were saying about having the serrated edges on your other video. Keep up the great work and God bless you brother.
Absolutely~ Worked fantastic for transplanting larger plants/bushes also. For the money they cost you really cant beat it; They really are a very useful tool to have around! Thanks for watching!
Now see, my mother would have then complained and said 'look at that big hole you put in the yard! couldn't you have done that with out making such a big hole?' LOL I gota admit I was surprised how big that thing was. Watching the green and orange tractors... I thought I was watching Tractor Time with Tim. ;) BTW, when you park the truck with the trailer, almost jackknife it so you can access the bed with the tractor better. Nice vid.
Thanks George! Haha that's funny.. You know what they say "some girls are just never happy" lmao. Yes I have to admit that stump was WAY larger than I anticipated that's for sure! Once I finally got it popped out of the ground it reminded me of an ice burg! Thanks for watching! The One Series and BX make for a great team!
Greetings from Wisconsin! I could feel the pride thru the video when that sumbich came up outta the ground! Those root attachments are unbelievable at doing their job(along with some hydraulic power! ) i think one day they should buy back your bx, to tear it apart and see what they did right! It's one of the most impressive hard working tractors on UA-cam. Take care bro!
Thanks buddy! I certainly did not expect that stump to be THAT big that’s for sure, and as you prolly saw on my face I was quite surprised when I finally got it popped out of the ground haha. My little Kubota BX never ceases to amaze me thats for sure, and though she’s had a VERY rough life with me constantly overworking it she’s still going strong and shows no signs of slowing down.. I just dug another stump the other day off camera and I actually felt bad for how hard I was working it.. I couldn’t even touch the hydraulic cylinders when I was finished they were so hot lol, and I think I loosened up my steering brackets a bit again but 🤷♂️ some day I am gonna build my own steering brackets that are bigger and beefier than Kubota’s cuz that’s the one issue I have with my tractor is loose steering as I’m always working the heck out of it and putting a lot of stress on the front end but for your every day user these brackets won’t be an issue. I appreciate the support and thanks for the watching!
Thanks Marc! I gotta say that little Kubota BX never lets me down! Paired with the Artillian stump bucket it really makes for a great stump[ pulling combo, thanks for watching!
Haha! Yah I gotta admit I did feel a little dirty after using that Deere LOL. I tell you what tho they sure did make a great team and that stump was far larger than I expected too that's for sure! Thanks for watching!
Thanks Dan, it really is one of my favorite attachments! I didn’t bring my grapple that day otherwise I woulda, i didn’t even have my pallet forks with me so instead I used my fathers 1023E. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Bryon! The Kubota BX is certainly a stronger machine than most would have you think haha. I cant tell you how many people walk up to me and say " I cant believe all the work you and that tiny little tractor can do!" lol. Thanks for watching!
I first thought, that BX is having a LOT of trouble with a stump that doesn't look all that big. Then once it popped out of the ground, I changed my mind. That thing was WAY bigger than I thought it would be. Quite impressive for a subcompact tractor.
Haha thanks buddy, I thought the same thing while I was digging it up.. “man why is this stump being so stubborn! Then it popped out finally and I was like “good god!” Lol thanks for watching I’m glad you enjoyed !
Hey Biff, you should consider the Backhoe. It would take some wear and tear off the front end when it comes ripping out stumps and take on some trenching jobs!
Hey Mike, yah I have considered a backhoe but the issue is the cost of them to add them after the fact makes it kind of tough, even a used one will cost me at least 6k roughly 4k-5k if your super lucky but they never sell them with the sub frame so you’d have to buy that also and that’s expensive. A new backhoe is about 9k.. so my plan has been to just save up a few thousand more and buy a mini excavator to go with my BX.. for 2 summers now Iv been keeping an eye out for a good deal but ever since COVID it’s only gotten harder and harder to find a good deal in an excavator.. I want either a bobcat E20, a Kubota k008 or something similar. That’s the plan and I still plan on getting one cuz for the money it will get more work done than a backhoe in less time and go more places. Had I bought my bx new on the other hand I woulda surely got the backhoe with it! Thanks for watching!
That stump bucket does a nice job. Seems like the stumps you don't think will be that big are the big ones. The ones that look big sometimes don't have much hiding.
Thanks Mike, You got that right! Its never quite what you expect that's for sure.. This stump reminded me of an Ice Burg being so small above the ground but so large underneath who coulda guessed?! Haha
Thanks Steve! Haha no I never woulda guessed that stump woulda been that large when I finally pulled it out of the ground.. you could prolly see the reaction on my face when it happened haha. I’m always very impressed with what these little machines can do!
Just recently came across your channel. I've been trying to decide between the bx2380 and jd1023e. What are your thoughts on the jd? Thanks, and keep the videos coming!
Thanks Kevin! Have you decided yet? If not let me know.. I can give you some pros and cons to each machine as I have many hours operating both machines 👍🏻
I ended up going with a 1023. It really came down to price for me. I found a good deal from john deere and was not able to match it through kubota. I've always liked kubota though.
This guy is picking up attachments and moving around trailers by hand like they are toothpicks. I have some money to collect - need his skills. All joking aside, great video.
Haha thanks Tom! Doesn’t hurt to be young but my back hasn’t liked all the abuse all these years and neither has my neck so hopefully I can stay in shape for many years to come haha. Thanks for watching!
I'm so wanting that fuel tank and pump. I'm so tired of 5 gallon cans lol nice job . I spent my money on concrete pad so I can tack my hoe and bucket off to cut grass seems I'm mowing every 7 days the rain up here in NE Texas has been nuts.
Thanks Stephen! The Fuel transfer tank is really a great thing to have and has already saved me a TON of time and hassle.. When I made this video I actually meant to fuel up before I left but forgot to (as I often do) so having the transfer tank always with me allows me to fuel up wherever and whenever which often saves my ass. Before I had the transfer tank I woulda had to load the tractor back up and run to a gas station which isn't fun as iv had to do that before lol.
Thanks buddy, some day I’ll do a little break down of my personal choices of what I like better about each machine. I’ll prolly do that in the spring. Keep an eye on my next video I do another comparison between the BX and 1 series 👍🏻
I love your content big guy, so awesome. I've been checking out Avant wheel loaders, check out their 630 series, I'm thinking of pairing that with my BX2680. I do all the little stuff with the BX and all the heavy stuff and hydraulics are done by the wheel loader
Nice Nick! Those mini wheel loaders are amazing machines only issue I have with them is their price haha. Some can be upwards of 70-90k which is just insane to me. Let me know if you end up getting one!
@@BiffsEquipment oh TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!! Prices for mini wheel loaders is crazy, I want the compactness that they provide coupled with the lift capacity and hydraulics. It's so perfect for what I need to clean my chicken barn but the price is sky high....makes me sad lol. I'll save my pennies and grab one in a few years. What kills me is that a larger HST kubota is a third of the price and I could put a power pack on to make up for the hydraulics. Or buy a skid steer for half the price. Both a smart but don't perform like a mini wheel loader. It drives me crazy lol. I'm in Canada so my options are pretty limited to the big boys (bobcat, KB, JD Case etc.) They all push skid steers so it might be the Kubota SSV65 or SVL65 for me. But my heart is in a wheel loader lol.
@@Vaessen13 yah man you said it, there is certainly a reason why they are so expensive and that’s why they work so well, the fact that they articulate too makes them amazing in tight places and easy on turf too.. they have an extended reach when it comes to loader height too much higher than that of a tractor in the same size, they have an amazing amount of loft capacity and power to boot. They certainly are expensive but I think are well worth the money if it fits your needs
I plan on buying a mini excavator soon, hopefully in the next few months that’s my goal.. just been buying myself time looking around and checking out my options
@@BiffsEquipment buddy that's super exciting! Hope it all falls into place :) you're gunna need a bigger trailer lols. You know this, being a mechanic an all, but get enough hydraulics for present and future needs. I bet there are some slick mini excavator attachments! Like any options to get pallet forks for it so you could lift heavy objects on skids that the BX can't. Equipment World on YT is good to check out for info I've found.
That big root almost took out your camera! This is the first video I’ve watched of the stump bucket in action. I’m impressed! I think I still prefer my backhoe (Bx23s), but having the front stump bucket on as well would make a very effective combination. I never noticed the ‘double front quick attach’, is that to accommodate more skid-steer implements?
Haha I agree that root came awfully close to the camera in that one shot. As for a stump bucket matched with a backhoe I agree that could be a very effective stump pulling combo! The coupler I have on my FEL is Kubota's Universal Skidsteer coupler.. It sure makes disconnecting and reconnecting to multiple types on implements and attachments quick and easy! Its by far one of the most popular couplers along with the JDQA which my father had on his tractor. Thanks for watching!
Hey Paul.. the stump buckets I own are from “Artillian” if you Google “Artillian stump bucket” or “Artillian grapple” you’ll find Artillian website where they sell these stump buckets.. all of their stump buckets, grapples, and pallet forks all mount to the same frame which is a specialized pallet fork frame.. it’s a full system that all works together using one single frame sold by them.. check it out and lmk if you need help finding it 👍🏻
Probably has his grapple by now, the Land Pride models are light weight and durable. Compact and mid compact are better suited to a light weight implement that the tractor can handle.
Hey Otis, yes I totally agree! I use the Artillian grapple and it handles it just fine, it’s very light weight.. tho the double grapple they sell may be a bit much but we will find out this summer when I use it! Thanks for watching!
im so torn on this tractor. i have 15 acres and lots of projects. maybe i just want to convince myself it'll be sufficient to save 20k on a bigger one lol
Haha I understand where you’re coming from. If you have 15 acres to maintain I would recommend no less than a B series tractor.. such as the B2601.. or the LX series (but those are extremely costly) the B2601 isn’t much more money than a new BX series so I’d highly recommend to buy at least a B series machine and I think you’d be quite happy. If you could afford it though you should go with an LX series. Best of luck!
Haha it sure did! I was amazing when I finally popped it out of the ground you could prolly see the expression on my face too haha. Thanks for watching!
This is precisely what I did.. I even explained that to the camera after I removed the stump. Some of your comments make zero sense to me. I think I have pulled enough stumps out to know what to do. You have to first locate the roots, the tap root especially.. once you find them you can trace them away from the stump to find a smaller section of each root so that you can break the root, once you have broken enough of the main root system you can then easily dig/lift the stump out. This is exactly how you want to remove a stump.
💥 There is nobody on UA-cam who can operate the FEL as well as you. Nice to see that Artillian trenching bucket in action.
*Keep on tractoring!* 👍
He's a surgeon for sure there Jon!

Who knew... John Deere lives do matter.
Haha, Not quite hunting season yet I suppose!
well, if you don't have a tractor, charcoal works great on those old stumps.
Hey that’s good to know, I can see how that would work well in burning them Thoroughly, thanks for the comment 👍🏻
Where did you get the stump bucket? Can’t seem to find that attachment anywhere.
Hey Paul.. the stump buckets I own are from “Artillian” if you Google “Artillian stump bucket” or “Artillian grapple” you’ll find Artillian website where they sell these stump buckets.. all of their stump buckets, grapples, and pallet forks all mount to the same frame which is a specialized pallet fork frame.. it’s a full system that all works together using one single frame sold by them.. check it out and lmk if you need help finding it 👍🏻
Probably has his grapple by now, the Land Pride models are light weight and durable.
How does a Deere guy get work done? Have a Kubota come over! 😁
Haha! Love it, best comment yet!
leaning like that and your rops are folded down... maybe i need to adjust my pucker factor?
Haha yah it got a little sketchy near that ditch but I was ready to drop the loader if anything started to happen, Thanks for watching!
Lol oh buddy go watch Mike run his grapple moving massive logs, now THAT was intense lol. Wheel spacers for the win!!!
im so torn on this tractor. i have 15 acres and lots of projects. maybe i just want to convince myself it'll be sufficient to save 20k on a bigger one lol
Dang that small tree had some legs to no match for the bota though.
Haha it sure did! I was amazing when I finally popped it out of the ground you could prolly see the expression on my face too haha. Thanks for watching!
YOUNG MAN ,
FIRST FIND IN OF THE ROOTS THEN DIG BACK TO THE STUMP BE EZ ON YOUR MACHINE AND U
