I watched a couple videos on this and this is the one that made it actually click for me what I was actually supposed to do after picking up the yarn with the right needle, so thank you!!!
you just saved me from a mental breakdown
PS a totally beginner knitter THANK YOU💚💚
Beginning knitter and you just solved a big problem I had with the first stitch being twisted. I couldn’t figure that out! Thank you!!!
Yay! So happy to help!
I'm a crocheter and I've tried English knitting many times and I just can't get the hang of it. I've never heard of this style of knitting, I think this might be easier for me. I need to find my knitting needles and try this! Thanks for this!😊💜
Yay!!! I think you will find it much more similar to crochet. Let me know how it goes!
LOVE & appreciate the patient extreme detail & viewpoints.
I am a beginner and I LOVE how you teach! Thank you!
Thank you so much! This is the best tutorial I’ve seen!!
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Thank you!
I’ve watched a lot of tutorials about a year ago and taught myself to switch and I really like it. I don’t know that I’m any faster- but at least my shoulder isn’t hurting from throwing. I was a LYS recently and had never done DPN so she wanted me to try it. She began to tell me I was holding the yarn incorrectly on left hand and that I needed to keep middle finger on needle to feed yarn. I have tried to switch and it just slows me down- I was so glad to find your video and see that it can be done a different way. I hold my left hand just like yours. Still trying different techniques fo wrapping. Glad I found you - now I can keep knitting like I was
I picked up crochet fairly easily, and leaning new stitches was quick for me. Knitting however, has been super frustrating for me. Tension problems, stitches sliding all over the place or falling of the needles with no idea how to put them back on properly. I really want to learn though, so maybe it's time to try again. Wish me extreme patience, and luck.
Thank you so much for making these videos!! I have been crocheting for almost two years and though that knitting was not for me, since I started following your blogs I became curious about it. So once I saw your tutorials I decided to learn. I have been doing really well and I love it. I can't wait to be able to do more projects. What would be a recommendation for needle sets for beginners. The long needle is good to start but they hurt my hand a little. I was thinking that maybe short circular or interchangeable needles would be better, but I'm not sure which ones to use. If anyone has recommendations would be awesome!
Thank you for making continental knitting make sense. I am trying to knit a table runner and am having trouble with tension
This video was so helpful! I have crocheted (right handed) for years and could never understand knitting with the working yarn in my right hand with straight needles. Its now clicking for me using this continental method and a circular hook.
Yay!!! I’m so happy to hear that!
This is a fantastic tutorial. I was having so much trouble with loosing the loop I pick up. I couldn't tell what was happening until I watched your video. I definitely need more practice, though!
Thanks for making this video - that was helpful.
