- Is Kentucky basketball ranked too low in preseason polls?
On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe discusses the preseason AP Top 25 poll. Are Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats ranked too low? And if they are, does it matter? Also, KenPom, Evan Miya, and Torvik have all released their preseason computer ratings... But do any of them matter?

The lower the rank the more of motivation it should be.I personally like underdogs.
Pre season ap means nothing how many years have we been pre season top 15 and rapidly drop, I highly doubt saint Peter's or Oakland was pre season top 25 . Our cats are in good hands now and in the future, go cats
It's pretty fair, for now. We know the potential of this team, but everythings brand new, from coaches to players to play style. It has to come to fruition before we give it the credit. I believe we'll climb pretty quickly.

Jesus Christ people its a rebuild year. Remember those? There were plenty of Calipari teams loaded with talent that were 10/11 loss teams and some that only made it to the NIT. Im happy with where we are at snd the players we got and will return next year as well as the incoming talent.
Don't care about pre-season polls. It's just something for people to talk about. Perform on the court.
As a hog fan, I think Kentucky will have a good season and hope y'all the best. I hope it works out for y'all just as I hope coach Cal works for us. I think it will be good for the sport.
Cal will be better this season at Arkansas than he would have been at Kentucky. Arkansas should be better. Kentucky will be much better. Everybody did better. Cal personally needed a change.
This poll is absolutely ridiculous because no one is better than us Lance! We should be #1, and I’m ashamed of the voters. What a shame! Just horrific! #23? I’m so furious!
Nope. And frankly, that is the LAST thing this team should be worrying about right now. Head down, roll up the sleeves, and outwork everyone else.

But it’s talking season for fans and those who love and live for college basketball season to pass the time while trying to patiently wait for the real official kickoff!
Who cares? Leave them unranked. Preseason doesn't matter
I do think this is the type of team that will slowly progress and get better over the year unlike some of kentucky's previous teams. I think the experience will make this team a lot different than the past.Calipary teams. It's experience teams that get far in the tournament
Chris beard is a damn good coach and ole miss is going to be really good soon. Florida, USC, Miss St, Texas, Oklahoma are all tough games. We have our hands full but “I like my team” lol
Kentucky is ranked way too low compared to other teams' rankings. There are some teams that you pointed out that I totally agree with. The ones you pointed out, plus Purdue. They will not be the same without Edey, and they have them way too high. Ken palm doesn't know crap either. He has nothing to compare his #'s to
I think Ky will win 20 or more games and by ky being ranked very low will take pressure off the team and show the nation ky is for real
personally they should be around 16 or 17.
Why can't we just watch a few games before we talk about this stuff? Nobody knows until that happens really!

The team will be known by how they actually play no one really knows they have been hyped up in the past few years and they were not even a top 25 team. I believe Ky will play better than they have in the past several years

I think they'll go 18-13, maybe 19-12. You could just tell from BBM that the talent level just isn't what it used to be.
