The kid shaking was so sad to see, that poor kid was so horrified, and hearing the kids screams when the gun was shot, those poor kids, none of them deserved that trauma they had to endure. I hope all of them are safe now, the fact that the shooter also went “nobody got hurt right??” Like sir, you can’t be serious, you murdered two people! I hope all the victims are doing ok now..

So, about the amnesia thing. There's this thing called disassociative amnesia, which is when a person goes through a traumatizing event, and get amnesia because of it.usually it's like regular amnesia, but I'm not sure if he could've just had that just with the shooting. (Anyone correct me if I'm wrong !!!)
As someone with horrible dissociative amnesia and studying psychology, yes it is possible. However, depression can cause poor memory and the horrid substance abuse can also cause poor memory. So while we shouldn’t jump directly to dissociative amnesia, it is a possibility to consider. However, people who have dissociative amnesia still have to take blame for their actions. So him trying to make it less serious and not take full blame is very bad on his part, dissociative amnesia or not. Hope this could help

for the question about what i would do in a situation like this, i would probably try to save my parents, my siblings if they’re with me, my friends if they’re with me, and i would try to save others near me. but again, if the shooter was nearby i would save myself and my older brother liam. i don’t know how insane someone could be to do this.
I stay strapped for moments like these, bro would not know what happened to him.

There was a shooting in Prague on 21st Dec, and I can't even imagine how destroyed everyone is, let alone all of the kids and people in that library. Rest in peace to anyone who died..

The child speaking is absolutely heartbreaking. But him saying please just absolutely shattered me. He's asking to be saved, he's already begging, we know he's in a dire situation. He is desperate to be saved. But him saying please just really makes me think more about it. Like we know that his Papa would save him, but the fact he was unable to, how dire this situation really is, how terrified he must've been- I hear the please as beyond begging. I call my father figure Papa, and my youngest brother seems just like the kid. They way he moves, talks, etc. Absolutely shattering. Made me sob.

I do not believe this kid has depression, I believe he has Antisocial Personality Disorder. I know it is illegal to diagnose a child with APD, but I believe that to be a HUGE mistake on the law's end.
Hi, just wanted to mention that it isn't illegal to diagnose a minor with ASPD, its just that official diagnoses for it are limited to adults, while minors are given conduct disorder which is one of the criteria for official diagnosis

A mass shooting happened at a mall across the road from my dad's job he couldn't go home until around 8pm because the police had everything locked down for a long while. It's the craziest most upsetting thing man. Its also a mall i made my parents upset at when i was a little kid because i had a bad feeling and refused to go.

Idk dude I’ve been through a shooting, and as horrifying as it is I was able to help ppl get out. And I think a lot of ppl instinctively would too- it’s hard to think about. I never thought I’d be able to do something like that, but in the moment, helping ppl also feels like not being alone in the situation.

You asked what we would do in this situation and although no shots where fired a similar thing happened at my school. The guy was with the gun an arms length away from me. I grabbed the nearest persons arm and dragged them into the bathroom. Told all the girls in there what was happening. We locked the door on the guys side and straight up ditched. My school refused to excuse our absences for skipping/ leaving. Not just us, everyone who left for the day.

Idk dude seeing these videos makes me sad, and usually i dont cry because even if i dont want to you get kinda used to hearing and seeing that kind of news, but seeing that kid whispering to his dad ''please dont die'', his hands shaking, his voice made me teared up. My condolences to the families of those who died. And for the survivors I hope they never have to deal with a situation like this again in their lives.
When my little brother was still in school, i was always terrified of these things because of the many threats that we have recieved through the years. I kept my rifle safe, loaded, and ready at all times. I don't care what happens to me, but I know I'm either saving lives or losing mine. The hardest part is knowing it isn't appropriate to have a few trained individuals on campus to keep a piece on them in case of events like these. So many things can either go right or wrong. It is infuriating and frustrating.
I worked at Walmart for over two years and we had quarterly training about how to handle shooter situations. Part of me feels like I would know what to do but I’m sure that would change once I heard gunshots.
I remember when I was almost stuck in a shooting and the shooter went to hide at the mall where me and my family were at. We were planning to go to the grocery store where the shooting happened but decided against it instead. It's crazy to think that I mightve been dead by now if it weren't for that one decision my mom made
