I’ve always enjoyed your videos as they’re very informative. You have special way of explaining things step by step and doing so with passion. Personally I thank you kindly for this. Yes this OEM foot well light is a great addition to other small mods. Have same one red color. Planning to install within a week. Watch most of your videos so far. Best wishes from Toronto🇨🇦 Cheers.
I’m curious, by plugging it to the OEM headlight dimmer, does it control both the headlights and the LED kit simultaneously? Did you somehow disconnect the headlights and control only the LED kit? Is it better to order a new OEM dimmer in order to be able to control both the headlights and the LED kit?
Nice vid! On my 2017 Forester, I had to remove the shield cover under the glove box and leave it off in order to attach the light, is that what you had to do?
I know this is an old post, but when removing plastic panels I know the connectors are going to be loosened up a little and it'll never mount as strongly as it did when originally assembled. I usually apply a little bit of foam tape to all the seams where panels contact each other (only on one: the foam is thin enough to not impact the fit and finish, but too thick if it's applied on both sides of the mating surfaces) to minimize rattles developing thousands of miles down the road.
Does the middle /bottom of the center panel stick out slightly from the screen? The sides and entire top is flush but I can't seem to push the bottom center "all the way in" and I forgot how it was originally. Wondering if anyone else had this issue and I have the stock 2019 infotainment screen
Most likely not, as the hazard light switch isn't on when you open the door, only when pressing the "OPEN" button on the remote. At that time the switches all light up and so will these lights. I do want the lights to illuminate when the door is opened but it means I would have to run a wire from the ceiling dome light. Not sure if I'm ready to take the headliner off just yet :-) Maybe a different solution exist, but do not know about it.
Random question here….just got my new 2021 sti couple months ago, when pressing clutch pedal theres a subtle knock sound, it doesn’t bother me but just wanna know if that’s normal…? Yours does the same?
@@ViceKnIghtTA compared to most mods, it really is. Sometimes you just have to start it and figure it out. Part of the fun. Everything snaps back into place, and once you have it open you can really keep the wires secured anywhere just make sure they holding in place.
The accessory I always forget is installed. Let me know what you think.
The only color has is the red?

Here for the passion of the subi. Love the foot lights. I had the subi speed ones on my last car. Nice cool mod
Yeah I don't regret it
Nice work, I installed the same on my Evo X. I don’t own a Subaru but I really enjoy your detailed content. Thanks for the videos! 🤘🏼👽🤘🏼
Bro, love the logo.
Thanks for that! Really appreciate it
Thanks bud! I just used your vid to help me with my install
My thanks. I was hoping they just left bulbs/LEDs out of the sockets and charged an exorbant amount, but your video answered my question. Thanks again
DANG! super nice video man!
This realy awesome but for a person who has minimum knowledge on how to install this light would be a trouble. Great work!
My 2020 STI came with that option installed.
It is the red version
The dealer basically threw it in for me during negotiations. I just told them I'd install it.
Will this fit 2024 Impreza ?

great job ,if the footwell lights have rgb colors ?
I’ve been wanting to buy these but I still don’t know if I want blue to match my wrx or red to match the interior red lights
Go with red

Would you recommend sound deadening for any objects or areas while we are doing this install and have all these panels off?

Is there any way to install these so they dim?
They dimm with the dimmer !
Will they be in when you open the door?

What brand did you go with for this install?

No… take it to the dealership
This is not easy?? Wtf
Yeah, his videos don’t really orient you to how he routes the wires or explain in details how he gets the wires around.
@kchiang4 i mean im not messing around with my car's interior just to install a "soft red glow" near my pedals...its not worth it.
