I live in Zolder. Come on the track for 30y now. The details are very accurate! The bumps and humps in the road , as well as in the back ground and side of the track. Like the solar panel umbrellas after the straight, the last chicane, the mill in the back from the industrial field❤ Great to see it all
That means Nurburgring isn’t that far off either. When I lived in Köln, Germany, I could drive to the Nurburgring in under a hour, and Spa in under 1.5 hour. I’m really regretting moving back home to Canada right now 😥
Nice to see my home track featured on here! Live 20 minutes away from zolder and have been on the track IRL multiple times. A tip for the chicane after the back straight before the bridge: attack the first corner harder and hit the curb fully while keeping the steering wheel straight. The car will unsettle a bit but you’ll keep the momentum going a lot better. Easy half a second win there.
I’m a sim racing n00b who had my first drive/race at Zolder the other day. It was a disaster so I was very chuffed to learn some stuff by watching Will. Great race… I didn’t think there would be that dive at the end of the last lap after the gap that 4th had when you moved into 5th. 👏
EPIC EPIC EPIC!!! What a final lap! Way to keep your composure battling the Bentley and keeping your head down to catch the Lambo. My heart is pounding
Always find it 'funny' that racegames nowadays have the Zolder Circuit, as it's where I live and have grown up, just a few roads down from it. When I was younger, I even had an vacation job at the circuit. Nothing fancy, just attaching old tyres together for the sides of the circuit as a safety precaution. There is also evening cycling on this circuit. Never have been, also because you are obligated to wear a bike helmet. For people of Zolder, this is free. And we also get free entrance to any race Zolder itself organises, including the 24h of Zolder, because we can here all the noise to here. Did go 2 times or so when I was younger, but sitting at the sides just watching, isn't my thing. I'm not a sports viewer, rather actively participate.
Hey Will, The rig setup is awesome and a fantastic point of difference from most sim racing content creators, and it's great seeing more ACC on the channel. However I think you can do a lot better than AI races. Of course it looks great and I get that it's convenient for making these videos. But the fact that it's AI kind of just brings it down. You definitely have a big enough following and enough people that would be keen to race with you that you could probably set up some really cool league events and championships. Would definitely make the videos feel higher stakes and more engaging. Perhaps it could even grow over time to give us Aussies some more options for racing ACC.
Get in son! Taking it to them Will. That was a fun race to watch, I notice a lot of the tracks you race on are the same I have raced on....Except for one huge difference ( or many really) I do my racing with an xbox pc controller in front of my pc, with old version NFS car racing games :-) Such a huge different perspective & feel to see one from the other...if I get a spare 100k I am in 🙂 Thanks very much for your videos WILL, they are fun to watch mate. All the Best, Regards Greg
I just did a 1.33 and was so excited, went back to this vids no remembering will's pace here, damn, still not quick enough. Picked ACC a week ago, I'm learning!
Zolder is one of those tracks that is A LOT more fun to drive on ACC than on iRacing. The offtracks in the 2nd and final chicane are just so painful there and last time I raced it on iRacing, you'd also get insane damage from hitting the kerb of chicane 1 in some cars, while others weren't even affected by it...
I know it's all been and done, but if you ever come around Zolder again, you really really really need to be considerably more aggressive over the first chicane. Literally YEET the ever living jesus out of it. You're giving up an easy two seconds there based on your pace i've seen at other tracks. Its insane how much time can be made there. The Macca can surprisingly cut it well. Obviously acknowledging this is the first time you've really run it an had to learn the circuit but just for future Will. Love the ACC content though!
Nice race. I love that track also. Tip: The lefthander after start - try to take it in low third gear instead of 2nd gear. 3nd is to aggressive; in 3rd gear you can smoothly glide through.
It is an crazy turn in real life. I saw many miss it and end up in the litterbox. Its a bit downhill, the road leans outwards too, so the inner tires have almost zero grip. The front of the car has massive understear there
Really nice video and great racing! One thing I’d suggest is to always try to get the pressures as close to the ideal window as possible! Otherwise you’ll be losing a lot of grip after 3-4 laps. Your FL is perfect, although could use a click or two as the temp dropped a little towards the end. Your FR & RL needed at least a 6-8 clicks more and RR a good whole PSI or even a bit more. The pressures are 90% of success on ACC, even if you don’t have much time, just grabbing the standard aggressive preset, driving 3 clean laps and adjusting the pressures can make all the difference. Still a great race, I really enjoy your content.
Hey will. I bought a Simucube 2 but it feels weird. When I use a 350mm wheel I can even see some lob sidedness in the wheel. I know it’s not the wheel because it is noticeable on all my wheels. Do you have a solution for this?
I'm using James Baldwin's Simucube 2 Profile at the moment which is 450deg. Makes it a little more sensitive which suits some tracks with tight turns. Default is 540 from memory.
Boosted you wouldnt happen to know if thw imahe clarity is adjustable for acc on ps4 would ya? I cant even tell what car is in front of me until I'm on their bumpers.
is this a closed championship? or anyone can join? I'D LOVE TO BEPART OF THIS.....currently running on LFM and some local championships....and this looks right up my alley....very very fair racing.....meaning great fun!
"MAN!" What a a great race and loved the effort in the last few laps. Well Done!👍 I'm brand new to Sim Racing and GT3 cars so... Question. I noticed on your Telemetry that you bump the throttle when down shifting. Is this a normal synced transmission technic or just something you picked up? Does it compensate for rpm versus road speed? Or just helps maintain momentum. Thanks. Again, great race and content.🏁
Can anyone tell me if he is blipping his throttle exactly the same time he downshifts on the paddle shifter? I think that's the case but can't confirm. If not, what is the timing supposed to be?
Yep. They contacted us a while back but made it sound like they were looking for promotional videos rather than reviews so I decided not to go ahead. Might revisit later.
Your the right portion of screen is tilted down and straightens up when making a right hand turn. Then goes back tilted down on right when driving on a straight part of circuit. Slightly off putting but not by a great deal.
This game looks so good when watching you race but in VR (Reverb G2) it looks like the shittiest game I ever seen even with higher settings. 8 years old Assetto Corsa looks way better. I really wish they would optimise the game.
In the sim racing subreddit a few guys said they can't watch your videos anymore cos it's infuriating that you never bother to get your tyre pressures right. You RF is off by 0.7, your LR is off by 0.6, and your RR is off by a whopping 1.2. A lot of us sim racers watch your videos, not just casuals. It's genuinely off putting when a so called sim racer does this.
Infuriating? 🤣 As I say on the videos, I have 30 mins to learn the track and do the car setup. I don’t always get it spot on. Don’t like it, don’t watch. 🤣
@@boostedmedia So you don't have pre-saved setups to ensure your tyre pressures are correct? Virtually every proper sim racer runs a few laps, adjusts their psi hot accordingly, then saves the set up with the air and track temps in the save name. Easy. Done. I can go into Zolder at any time and load up my set up file with adjusted psi levels. That way you can adjust your psi levels in accordance to the air temps at any given time. But I guess a casual wouldn't understand that concept. You've got all the gear but no idea. Bye!
@@fad2679 you obviously can’t read or hear to well, it’s part of the series rules which he states at the start of every race, I find it hard to believe that if you watch his videos that you have either missed or can’t understand a basic statement !!! Joke 👎

It’s a 3rd party app called Racelab

No this series is against AI. The iracing videos are against real people online.

Assetto Corsa Competizione. Its available for consoles too.
When Kyalami?
