Exactly my thoughts!!!! I’ve listened to his audition a gazillion times. Sometimes I just close my eyes & just listen & enjoy his singing voice. You’re right it’s not all about those Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston voices. Hitting the high notes it’s not all there is to it. For his age this kid sings with authentic emotion; not at all “staged”. I watched his other performances & I would say he has the “IT” factor. You know …either you have it or you don’t. It’s something you can’t teach. I don’t usually vote but this time I’ll make sure I will. I want this kid to win 🏆& make it big in America.

I tried to vote for Tyson, but of course Canadians are not eligible to vote--only US and Puerto Rico residents. I have relatives in California and asked her to vote on my behalf. He is a joy to listen to. I also live in Port Moody and was very proud of such a talent. He will go far. Maybe David Foster can help. David was from Victoria. Apparently Sarah MacLaughlin taught Tyson-voice lessons?. We have so much talent all around us!!! Happy Canada day all my fellow Canadians.

Sorry, the Streisand album was called Superman. NOTE: Billy Joel first sang this song at a concert I attended in October 2001 to benefit the First Responders involed in the 9/11 attack. Less that one month he put the concert together. The perfect song for New York City only a few weeks after the event.
I don't think he's going to win AI. But I'm dead sure he's going to be a more famous and bigger star than the winner. Not all winners make it big time. There were runners-up who made it better. I've had favourites in competitions like this and they didn't win but they ended up much better than the winner.
