Interesting video and some good info. From our experience over a very long time, soldering connectors on Anderson plugs is the way to go. It is better than either crimping or crimping and soldering for voltage maintenance.

Thanks for the input. Yes soldering has generally been my preference too, although soldering can fatigue over time where crimping maintains the wire's flexibility. But a poor crimp has big problems and is easy to do, soldering is probably easier to get right.

That's great Greg. I have had bad experience with ITechworld and will never buy from them again. I'm looking at Kickass products as I've found the quality really good. I have used there foldable solid panels 300w and bypassed there cheap pwm controller and run them straight into my Renogy 30amp smart MPPT. I also have Renogy smart shunt and both were showing between 17.5 and 18 amps. There not that bulky and slide in beside my fridge I also have about 200 watts panels on the roof of my bus although 1 panel has a crack in it and doubt it's giving Max output and its putting out around 12 amps. I brought a 2 into 1 Anderson plug lead from Kickass and when both are plugged into the Renogy they are making between 29 to 30 amps and have chatged a 170ah battery at 30% to full in 1 day during autumn.

Fair enough Brad, there are plenty of options besides iTechWorld if you don't like them. Bypassing the PWM controller sounds a good idea, and sounds like you're getting pretty good results from your setup! Good job!
