Answer is easy: if you suffer from the rainbow effect, then go for the 3LCD technology.
It is very interesting how only some people see it.
@@printershowcase I see rainbow only briefly when glance away from screen but only on some projectors but still prefer DLP better blacks better contrast and less screen door effect
Is there any good (sub 2000$) dlp projectors yet that doesn't have color flickering?
I hope 3 chip dlp's become cheaper soon, there is no reason for the insane prices of the 3 chip ones. i have watched benq popular models (affordable ones) but I cant buy one because of the annoying flickering colours, hade to go with a LCD.
GunnarsMassageoPizza The Ricoh DLP projector featured in this video is around $1000 and we found no flickering during our testing.
GunnarsMassageoPizza saw no flickering on this vid or at home. maybe your eyes are more sensitive to dlp but that stage should go away.
3D on DLP is way better no crosstalk and I dont get a headache. DLP 3D is. bit darker though compare to 3LCD.

001Broadway Not in the consumer range. They are typically used in larger theaters where huge coverage is needed like your local multiplex for instance. We have not reviewed any yet but it may happen soon. The projectors in this video can project an image as big as 140" which is like a whole wall for most rooms.
I hope you can answer my questions because no one else has, and you sound informed regarding DLP. To be fair, the only single chip DLP projectors I have seen extensively are the ones in our videos, but I have never observed the rainbow artifact at any time during movies or gaming at all. Am I just unable to see it or are these Ricoh projectors not producing it? We captured the actual projection at 1080p / 60 FPS which is way faster than I can see. Shouldn't the camera have captured the rainbow effect? I would love your thoughts. Thanks for the lesson!
Maybe it's the recording, but the dlp showed random stutter and motion blur. What was up with that?
Actually, its someone bumping into the camera or the tripod.

Will any resolution work for text on a projector? Looking to read PDFs from my laptop.
Almost any projector can be used for that depending on, how large you need to project, and how much ambient light there is in the room.
I have a DLP projector and i love it. But I think that the 3LCD is better for projecting text. In my opinion, the text from the 3LCD is much sharper, DLP is better for movies.
The DLP has better contrast which you'd think would make reading easier. Maybe it's a brightness issue.
DLP is the best, we know it! Those colors...

DLP projection has been out since 1980 , yes 1980
set it against any projector with a different processor and it still wins
it's like we're neanderthalers making a pc with acid wires , everything just crumbles while we're sitting in front of it doing nothing

@@printershowcase because it has technology of both worlds DLP and LCD. Actually 3 chip DLP technology is best. LCoS is primarily made by Sony
