Saw arrived yesterday ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and today I cut about 3/4 cord of wood with it. Make sure you get an extension chord that is at least 12 gauge wire, minimum. This is my first electric in about 10 years, and things sure have improved. The self-sharpener works great, and it just kept cutting through some pretty decent logs. Wear your eye protection, and ear protection. Excellent saw.
It looks like this on tests, but the handle is on the other side of the case and is not in line with the chain, see 9:30. Of course additional cover is a good idea, safety first
Just a note on an otherwise excellent build, better extend the sprocket guard cover to cover your handle bar because if the chain accidentally snaps it will provide extra protection on your hand.
I'm gonna guess that this isn't super practical. I mean, I only paid $126 (deal at the time) on amazon for my 14" greenworks 40v chainsaw with a 2ah battery and a charger, and it works excellent. Plus it has an automatic oiler. But in the spirit of fabrication, this is an awesome build. Thank you for taking the time to post this video. I love building stuff myself too, sometimes not just for the cost savings, but for the fun, learning experience, and pride I get knowing I made something myself. 👍👍
Its awesome! But there is nothing preventing it from flinging the sawblade into the users face if it catches on some wood. A chain break could save your face, or in a bad case, even your life. Caution :)
Nice build, as a professional, I’d suggest removing the bottom of the chain guard, not on the outside, but the part where chips hit. You want them to flow away from your sprocket. And add a screw below the bar mount Incase the chain hops off, because the chain will stretch an bit with heat and the last thing you want is to have it fly into your arm or leg. I don’t mean to pour a bunch of suggestions like I’m better than you or anything like that, I think this is a sick thing to make. I just don’t want you to get hurt really badly.
The one thing to correct in this build would be the nickel strips. Since this is a very high current draw device, doubling the nickel strips would help a lot.
Good job man. I'm making something similar at the moment. But when you were showing the testing at the end. You should have played it in real time. That's kinda the whole point to see how long it actually takes. Also to see the cutting ability as well. Ik you did it to make it look faster or whatever your reason may be. But I would have cared how slow or fast. I just wanted to see the real time cutting ability. All N All. Niice work bub. Keep the cool homemade stuff coming. Love it!!!!
Very nice, if you use the small Two stoke oil containers and make a drip Oiler onto the chain using gravity and 30 motor oil vs bar oil if might flow nicely out the small gas line.
Actually I find it cool as a concept design to display, but it's a very bad tool if you want to use that. There is no oiler, and manually oiling isn't efficient, there is no chain brake and it looks very lightweight, wich means it has low inertia. Definetely you don't want a kickback from that thing
инструкция : возьмите ваш старый безколлекторный двигатель, и используя домашний токарный станок и гриндер просто изготовьте недостающие детали, без чертежей и лекал. думаю это смогут сделать большинство пользователей. :)
I wonder how an electric chainsaw would do with a moped motor on it..? Put some gearing in it to give it torque over speed and i bet youd end up with a saw that could cut quicker than any gas powered. Probably be heavier but could make a backpack battery and cooling system...

Add an oiler for the chain. Awesome work, man.
very nice job but your left hand is very close to the chain you need to add another cover to the top near by the handel
It looks like this on tests, but the handle is on the other side of the case and is not in line with the chain, see 9:30. Of course additional cover is a good idea, safety first
The handle might break from the pressure, the cover is a good idea
That's not a cover, it's the chain brake
@@maciejnowakprojects hi, how many mAh have your batteries? Can i use only six 3400mAh batteries? It's like 6x3400=~20000mAh
Needs a guard for your hand next to the chain, or a chain brake like a traditional chainsaw has, so you don't lose a finger.
Znakomity projekt i zdolnosci manualne swietna robota 👍
Salesman :
**slaps the old container**
This bad boy can become an excellent battery powered chainsaw !
Ií
Really cool! It's awesome to see how much you've progressed over the last few years. Congrats man!
Love watching your projects your a very talented young man great work cheers mate
Another amazing project. Keep up the great work!
I can't believe that this home made artifact is able to cut that. Incredible!!!.
Just a note on an otherwise excellent build, better extend the sprocket guard cover to cover your handle bar because if the chain accidentally snaps it will provide extra protection on your hand.
Супер! Не было бы у меня бензиновой... аж сделать захотелось такую же.
Very good Job! Greetins from Brazil!

I like what you do with old things
What’s the specs of the motor?
I like this guy he doesn’t half ass stuff
Anjing
Where did you get that attachment you added to the motor shaft that the chain rides in that is connected to the motor?
I think the real question is.how many cuts from a single charge?great job.also how much did it all cost?
I would rock that climbing and cutting. Good Job
Nicely done! I need to make one of these!
Excellent job mate, you will have to let us know how many cuts per charge you get
Where do you get those fantastic high amperage switch buttons that you use in your projects!?
This is excellent work, I love the project....
I like that black paint, looks like its durable right? Whats the brand/type? Thanks
A great fair comparison with honest results. Thank you.
very nice! what about the rotation speed of the chain vs electric motor ? do they match ? are there any differences that could destroy any mechanism ?
Wery nice, братуха! Классная идея и отличная реализация! Надолго заряда батарей хватает?
все отлично !лайк !если б не синяя изолента то пила бы не работала :)
You have amazing skills

How many cuts to a full charge? And how much would you have to get to make one for somebody else?,if you would even make one for somebody
Precisa ser estudado pela Nasa, gênio! (Brazil)
Dude!!!.. it's awesome ,, how about a hand protection guard ?

M.N. this is awesome, love all your projects. Best wishes.

Wow I wish I could make one of them how that would help me on my camping trips.clever guy that's for sure.thanks for sharing well impressed
I thought it was pretty sweet ...... a knuckle guard to finish it off would be easy enough for you I'm sure . Keep up the good work
it seems to me, for the first attempt the chain went backwards. Am i wrong? Nice little project
Very good work, I liked it.

I wish I can buy a knife from you! Very solid work!
Nice job fella. All you have to do is make a hand pump oiler and you are done.
There should b another shield on the top 4 upr hand.well done.nice job
What is the starter or electric motor. What is the marking of the model?
Fantastic work!!!
What is the total cost and weight of this fine piece of art sir :)
Olaj mindenre olaj a menetfuro foleg szereti . God joob
great, how long does the battery last?
Well done 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 another hand guard😉
It can go on for how much hours with a full Charge and if you didn't test that tell me how many amphour is the battery
What exactly motor did you use?
Very cool thanks! Where do you get your batteries from?
Good job , please do you have plan ? and thank you
Nice build!
Evet abi. Ellerine. Salık. Çok güzel olmuş
absolute genius
Seriously, a great device! I'd like to have it in my hands now. One problem though - the oiling... ;(
Actually I find it cool as a concept design to display, but it's a very bad tool if you want to use that.

@Stefan Rainer that's a nice idea, but we all know a hobbyst would be too lazy to even think of adding that feature lol
Like usual, clean and very nice content!
Fantastic work, man... Really nice!
Not bad for a battery!
Can you tell me the length of saw guide??
Your project always awesome
New subscriber dude what a video🔥🔥🔥
What about the chain oil pump?
what about the batteries dont they heated up when u plugged this giant motor into them ?
Fantastico, una buena herramienta. Saludos.
What is the output on that motor and where could I find it?
How much hp is that motor
Awesome project. Nice video. : )
What is this drill on 4:52 ?
what are the characteristics of the electric motor?
Nice! That's some good run time with just 2p. Make the pack 4p and double the run time! :D
Nice job!!! Like a proof of concept, but for regular use need some improvements!
where did u get d motor?
Так что-бы сделать это нужен токарный станок 200к раз, сверлильный станок 50к два, вообщем 250 к, самая дешевая нормальная бензопила 7-8 к. вывод?
Супер эргономичная рукоятка
What kind of motor is this?
Very cool invention :)
How much r for min has the motor ?
how much did it cost whats the voltage and amps
Very cool video! And amazing project! Works great :-)
Изолента и скотч рулят!
So stupid question... Does looking at wield arcs in videos damage your eyes?
Cara é um crânio parabéns!
Great saw, nice job.
amazing !!

Věry nice work try to make an elektrick grime
Looks good but its not safe if i build chain like this i would add safety svitch
Wow super

Very nice! I’m going to make one myself now :)
Jaki użyłeś silnik do tej piły?
What is the power of the engine, how many watts (W)?
