In my experience driving for Swift as an owner, I have found some hiden gems and ways to tuck money away. ATBS is a must if you are serious about running a business.
Would I be able to lease on if my business LLC was in any other state (for example the LLC had a Florida address and registered in Florida) but my business has me the driver with a Pennsylvania CDL? Or would both the Business and driver need to from one of the qualifying states?
I want to join the team and become an owner operator but I need to work within California until the beginning of next year
Unfortunately, if you reside in California, you are in a state that does not allow you to become an owner operator. To be candid, most Democrat ran states have this policy in place that denies their citizens to be Owner Operators.
@user-xc6su5sf4x It does not prevent you from being an independant owner operator. It prevents companies from labeling you as independent when they control much of how you operate. True independant owner operators can be one anywhere they want. Key word is independent. This does not just apply to trucking.

Drivers need to stop turning down loads and work closer with their DM to communicate what their preferred loads look like. This will assist in fewer or no loads being turned down.

@WanderingWolf365 There are many possible opportunities and pay opportunities. Seeking one that fits your lifestyle is the key. There are a number of reasons why people fit well where they are or even hop the fence, so to speak. Not really hip on the offerings at Landstar, don't know.
