Personally I loved this video and song. It motivated me to write my Minecraft novella for my little brother and got me through some hard times. I never noticed any of these flaws and I still don't understand some of these because I don't do animation but I loved your video too! You seem to really know your stuff. Also I agree on him not putting an epilepsy warning; I have PNES and sometimes it can be triggered by things like that.
Luckily since my disorder is non-epileptic, it doesn't damage my brain cells when I have my seizures.

8:29 Actually no. Swords aren't heavy. The average European arming sword weighs around a pound. Even then, most of the mass is in the hilt, guard and pommel, allowing the blade to be fast and nimble as opposed to an axe or a mace where most of the mass is in the head of the weapon.
True, but with Minecraft sword's the blade has significantly more mass made of solid iron all located in the blade and what we can presume to be a wooden handle(The stick used in the crafting recipe). Even if it was a standard European arming sword it would have some weight and would be almost impossible to move with as much ease as the dad uses.

I got one, why did "purple guy" take the little boy when he evidently wanted the helmet for his armor set, he had to know that the father wouldve came after the boy 100%, also he just happened to drop a map
And for this being one of the first animations by someone I think it was good, i quite liked the fights
God I'm late, but here we go. A prequel video revealed that when they were kids, the purple guy was friends with the mother and father. The purple guy stole an ender pearl and ran off onto an unsafe bridge. His friends followed, a fight ensued, and he and the girl almost fell. The father only managed to save the girl while he fell, but he was saved by an enderman. He felt betrayed by this, which is why he came back.
TLDR: Go watch the prequel music video.
