Thanks for this...its not fair that Mini don't include this in the manual. Worked on our 2010 Mini Cooper (R56 I believe) once I'd pressed the BC button to clear anything that was showing.

This doesn't work for me - When I hold the right trigger down for 5 seconds it shows my VIN number and I do not get these reset settings. - 2009 JCW

I have the same car and it works, make sure you put the key in, then hit left button until you see 0mph and then follow the steps

@@ants1701 I had to hold both the buttons on the rev counter down for it to work. The other method does not work at all for me
