The Cleaner (Geri) is such a great character. Even though he could've just re-attached Woody's arm and be done with it, he takes a step further by not only fixing Woody, but also improving him. His quote, "You can't rush art." is pretty much all you need to know about him. He doesn't view fixing toys as a job, but as an art form. Like an artist making a masterpiece. Now, that's a man who takes pride in his work.
My absolute favourite scene from Toy Story 2. He seems like a down to earth guy with superb craftmanship. Probably inspired those asmr videos in later years.
This scene is why Geri is my favorite human character from the entire Toy Story franchise. He’s very calm and focused with his trusty well organized toolbox full of tools like paint jars, brushes, q tips, toy repair parts, glasses with a zoom in feature, and a air pump with an air brush? I love this guy. Geri>>>>>>>>>>>Sid. Sid breaks toys and make them look abysmal, while Geri fixes and refurbishes them. You can’t rush art.
