Hey hope you enjoyed Ireland! In Trinity the reason the lawn wasn’t fully cut is actually for conservation purposes. It’s called “wilding” and you’re encouraged to leave grass grow wild for period of the year (mainly summertime) for the bees bugs and all the natural little stuff that keeps Ireland so green and helps the environment! They cut the edge of the grass kinda for appearance to show the public that it is looked after and intentional :)
I'm so happy that you commented on the fact that Trinity College no longer cut their lawns. It's apparently to encourage biodiversity but honestly I think it just looks a mess, especially outside at the main entrance (which was just before you passed through the arch to get to where you made the comment). I get that they want to be nice to nature, but it really doesn't give a good first impression to tourists. It's the River Liffey, not a canal, but it's a small river by other countries' standards, so I see why you said canal 😊 I'm glad you got a sunny day for the game. It's really hit and miss here, so you could have been drowned 🙈 but thankfully you got sun. Sorry it was cold in Galway, that's unfortunately what happens on the Atlantic Coast here. And believe it or not Galway is a city, not a town, which I'm sure you'll find funny because it's small. By the way, none of this is criticism, I'm only saying it because you asked in the video for us to comment below with the right information ❤ I promise you that we sometimes get 23 to 25 degrees on August 25th, it's rare but it does happen!!! This summer was a particularly cold and rainy one unfortunately 😢 You'll just have to come back during a warmer summer! I love seeing my city (Dublin), and my country, through a tourist's eyes. Thank you so much for sharing 🥰
Hi, loved the vlog. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Ireland. Your vlogs just popped up in my feed. As an Irish person, I enjoyed your vlogs arriving into Ireland, and driving and touring around. Mrs. Donnelly, I have to say you have incredible energy and both your husband and yourself have a really great fun relationship. Very much enjoyed. ❤❤
First time watching channel. I’m from Dublin so always interesting to see it from an outside perspective. Unfortunately it can be four seasons in one day but we wouldn’t have our stunning landscape without it. Great vlog thanks for sharing 😊
The first stadium you passed when on the train was Croke Park! It’s the third or fourth largest stadium in Europe and can hold over 80,000 people (so larger than the Aviva where the American football was held!). I don’t know why they had trucks on the pitch (aka field) they could have been setting up for a concert. Fun fact: “Foreign” sports were banned from Croke park for 100 years until am amendment in 2005/2006 which allowed sports like soccer and rugby to be played there (mainly out of necessity as the Aviva (then called Landsdowne Road) was crumbling and in need of rebuilding which left soccer and rugby and the likes with no stadium to play games. The reason for the ban was the fact that Croke park was built for the GAA which is a puller in Irish culture and “foreign” games like rugby are kinda seen as English games who we obviously have a spotty history with!
I think they might have been setting up for Coldplay in Croke Park? They did 5 nights in Croker around the end of August but I don't know the exact dates
"Steering wheel always in the middle of the road". Never heard it expressed that way, but it makes total sense! Good way to remember which side to drive on! 😁
Completely understand where your coming from but honestly it’s really not that deep. I never really understand why people get so upset when Americans say that.😂😂😂❤
FYI Christ Church is not Catholic it is Church of Ireland a bit like your Episcopalian/Protestant. Also the Liffey is a river that flows to the sea not one of our 2 Dublin Canals . I hope you enjoyed Ireland despite the crappy weather. Our coldest Summer on record!
Noooo you looked at the wrong place for the pub! It’s a bit outside the center, you have to drive to it! I’m sorry you missed out on it. That pub has an amazing atmosphere. Next time!
It was a bit cold when you visited. But you were unlucky. It's blue skies hot and sunny all this week in Galway. The beaches are packed. It's not unusual for good weather to suddenly appear in Ireland in September. The tourists here at the moment must be very confused. They expected cold and rain😂 it's more like California. 🌞
Ireland is a dream destination for me and my partner. He has been there once or twice, and has family over there so hopefully that means we will take a trip over there in the future. Is it weird that I am surprised there is an American Football stadium there? Also what a fantastic coincidence the FSU was playing there when you guys visited. Like woah! That is so interesting.
It’s good to visit for maybe for a few weeks in the summer and travel around the country but for your own mental health do not live here. It’s beyond miserable.
Ireland's weather sounds like New England weather, at least during spring and fall. Never would wish our summers upon them, although sadly that's happening regardless. :(
They are irish dancers ,ireland is a celtic country but there is no common celtic dance, scottish highland dancing,Breton folk dancing are completely different, probably appalachian dancing styles are closer because of scots irish influence to irish dancing.
How do you make such income? I’m a born-again Christian and sometimes I feel so down because of my low finances. 🤦 Despite this, I still believe in God.
Christchurch is an anglican church not a catholic church. Its a common mistake because ireland is overwhelming catholic in the republic, but owing to history the protestant church have most of the older cathedrals. Liffey is a river not a canal again an easy mistake because they are two canals in dublin one flowing underneath the first stadium you saw .That was croke park which is our funny games stadium by which i mean sports played nowhere else, you have American Football and Baseball(lessser extent) and we have gaelic football and hurling.AVIVA is where the more familar sports of soccer and rugby are played. Reading from other comments the trinity lawn is a result of daft woke environmentalism.I am in favour of rewilding but trinity college is not the place for it.
What are you taking about it's not the wrong side of the road god youes Americas are so thick we have been around for thousands of years before youes so respect are country

Donnelly's is in Barna, 10 minutes from the city!

Not cutting the grass and the wild flowers is for the bees and the insects 🇮🇪

We had a particularly bad summer this year, it's not always that bad.

Viz the grass in trinity, it's cut like that deliberately to encourage the natural environment for pollinators etc.
I'm so glad u enjoyed my country

LOL YOU'RE DRIVING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wrong side of the road? I think you mean the other side of the road 😂
Did we miss Ryan going off to college?!
It not a canal it's the river liffey
Other side of the road not wrong side of the road
That would depend on which side that you are supposed to be on.
I think Joel Wood, on his channel, mentioned the same game. Maybe?

Great video
Does anyone know how long they will be in ireland for!!
*I'm glad you made this video,* it reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, $75k biweekly and a good daughter full of love😊😊❤❤😊
How do you make such income? I’m a born-again Christian and sometimes I feel so down because of my low finances. 🤦 Despite this, I still believe in God.
Thanks to my co-worker (Alex) who suggested Ms Maria Angelina Alexander.

IRELAND for the IRISH !!!!
I'm from Galway and you don't come here for the weather. So wrap up and bring an umbrella. Galway is amazing. Just remember to wear the right clothes.
Man, fsu is so bad 😭😞
FSU.
Ireland ok to visit. But living here is extremely miserable.
They are soo annoying and trumpish
At least friendly and respectful unlike most Irish people.
