Jane's "Oh sweetie, we're massive criminals" line is absolute perfection. Just glorious.
“We got a saying in the family. Bee themed bands… don’t.” 😂
EGBERT HAD ZONE OF TRUTH THE WHOLE TIME🤣🤣🤣🤣
Egbert has gained
EMOTIONAL DISTRESS.
This enables Egbert to accumulate trauma.
40:44 is still one of my favorite bits in the whole Oxventure
Jane's "I can see your generous split." was hilarious.
Dob and Corazon's beat poetry is a strong contender for funniest thing in any oxventure to me ^.^ 40:50
Oof, losing the chat on this one hurts, the reactions to the musical performances were incredible.
Oh gosh, yes. The chat was hilarious and 100% relatable 😂
1:35:06
As soon as she started, we all knew it was just for Luke
1:35:52 I like how Jane is playing this like it's a Yu-Gi-Oh duel lol
Do you ever feel the need to re-watch a specific Oxventure?
Gosh I forgot how hard this one makes me laugh
I love watching Janes reactions to Johnny when he's nailing the voices and being humerous, she looks almost smitten with him, so cute.
The basil the great mouse detective bit was amazing. 😂
Niche maybe but brilliant definitely
"We're not criminals are we? Are we criminals?" Are we counting the actions of 60 skeletons and a flameskull as party crimes? Then no, you're not mere criminals. Terrorists is probably a more accurate description.🤣
"We do it 'cause we have to 'cause they're trying to murder us right?" Flashback to the entire city they're responsible for exterminating and burning *after surrendering* only a few weeks ago.
This is my first watch through (I've tried before but got distracted around Ship Happens). When I get around to a second watch through I'll have to do a crime count, breaking down what crimes while separating direct (they murder) and indirect (skeletons murder).
How goes the crime counting? Also, when did they exterminate a city after it surrendered?
@@CephandrianJES I think S2E26: Mule Be Sorry but it's been a while. Haven't kept count of their crimes. The series is enjoyable, but looping back to the start immediately after finishing the series a month ago seems excessive. I'll get back to it eventually and let you know if I have an update.
@@CephandrianJES I'm doing a kill-count spreadsheet, broken down by character and episode. It's taking me a while, I'm up to here after a few months
You reached me with the Ratigan song, Ellen, love that film :D
I am convinced that Ali the lawyer has some connection to Alfred Strangetide, but Johnny just wasn't able to deliver the punchline.
I can see that. I was hoping for an Ally McBeal punchline in keeping with the American TV show callbacks, also because young laywer named Ally that looks like she's 10...
I think Alfred is actually an adult, in another adventure he says "I'm an academic in my 30's"
Alfred says the darndest things
Glad they enjoy one of our local favorite beers in Colorado
Aww that Basil the great mouse detective bit was good, it's not an amazing movie but strangely memorable.
It pretty much saved Disney from bankruptcy in its day, it just gets kind of forgotten given it was followed by the Disney Renaissance era. Also, it was one of the first movies to use cg animation! (The gears in the clock tower chase)
A generous split, indeed.
(just replacing my comment on the original upload)
15:00
"This is a blues riff in B"
*_Congratulations Corazon, that sax player now hates you_*
Why didn’t Corazon order another really bony fish so they could break out like before?
I like how never once was plan let loose our army of skeletons in the court room discussed.
28:00 nah you're war criminals
40:30 Thanks. I figured it was magic, but I appreciate the imagery.
1:59:00 This is getting rather involved. I feel like using command: exonerate on the judge or (upcast) command: confess on the prosecutor/witnesses would have been easier. Follow that with a zone of truth so they can't recant and Egbert would have felt like a real paladin, charismatically "convincing" wrongdoers to come clean.
1:59:30 Hey, he thought so, too! Good to see Egbert using his spell slots.
Original Air Date: Nov 13, 2020
I oddly really appreciate these comments
15:04 And with that, Corazón invented Johnny B. Goode
*I* got your reference, Ellen. It would have been easier if you weren't giggling through it, but I also grew up with Basil of Baker street. And that is one of the best villain songs ever.
Thank you, Voodoo Ranger, for giving us 25:00
1:09:45 I was thinking the same thing Luke😂😂😂
Johnny's makin em an offer they can't refuse...
Jane is already prepped for Blades in the Dark with her attitude on lovely crimes.
Egbert's whole world is turned upside-down in under half an hour, and I'm here for it.
Corazon’s plan on using noodles to make a false-noose gives me Fanboy and Chumchum vibes from when they made a bi-plane out of popsicle sicks to escape daycare.
03:32
you're a good person. genuinely, thank you :)
Thank you 😊😊😊
Plesiosaurs it merilwen is perfect ❤❤❤
Her next form per chance?
(I forget if there was an upper limit with how many animal forms are possible given enough levels...)
Luke looks like a young Brendan Fraser here, nice.
more like john cussack...
During the performance, it looked like Merilwen's brain broke.
Excellent beer choice. I've been enjoying since it came to Canada. We need an entire campaign of Christopher Walken voice from Johnny... though given the difficulty of it that might be a tad unfair, lol
They broke Johnny lol
Also why did Merylwin not think to use her Earth Bending to make a door/window in the flagstone lol
Everyone should watch the great mouse detective.
Imagine how hilarious it would be if they actually got drunk irl and we’re trying really hard to stay in character. Especially if Jane got drunk seeing as prudence does not seem to be the sort of person to get drunk. OR JOHHNY.
Prudence has been drunk in at least one other occasion (Sect Appeal). Problem is she's a sad drunk 😂
A noose is in fact very easy to make, if you know how and have sufficient cord.
2:07:28... today...like every other day....business as usual for the Ox-crew, the crew so lethal, with a body count so high, even the gangsters would know to step aside... although judging by their looks you would never know ...remind sme of Trigun and Cowboy Bebop situation a lot actually...
Cheers to Prudances facial expressions and gestures non verbal witchcraft
So, the gangsters have been ending people for years to evade the law, when all they needed to do was fake it? 😂😂😂
1:37:00
_i don't get it_
17:46
I hope they use the skeletons to break out
And if the seafood is bad it comes out the other way lol
2:05:10... hmmm... 🤔 you know, if they played it the other way... it could make for a perfect opportunity... all you have to do is locate those two original gangsters and get rid of them...and have our boys replace them for real... and then who would dare question it.., I mean with Corazon's impeccable business sense... and Prudence and Merilwen as "muscle" for support...
...on the other hand, in retrospect, I've always thought it would've been so much easier, (at least up to the point there it was proven that even having the judge in our pocket wouldn't have been enough...) to just blackmail or kidnap/replace the judge with a substitute...i.e. Egbert (the careless
(what a great title for a judge))
or Merilwen (a friend to all animals..,
except the more sentient kind... )
(or better yet, Prudence!
I'm pretty sure she had rooms full of blood on more than one occasion by now... although 🤔 at this point...this group would probably qualify to be tried at Geneva
(or whatever passes for that in Geth... and is Geth the whole world, the planet(and possibly few adjacent dimensions typical to DND), etc., or just this one side of it, this one continent... I'm still a bit fuzzy on that)
...let alone some petty little court "dealing" with organized crime...😅
...if there ever was a judge who would get everyone *and* their puppies some shocking jail sentences.., that would be her, our resident Evil warlock... I can't think of anyone better,
and she certainly has a "voice" for it)
Why did Jonny shout stop? Was it the puns getting out of control
If you mean at 1:37:00 it was presumably because Merilwen made a pun on Mark Kermode with "mark that commode."
@@djmo1232 thank you
