(at least to me) the two big things nerf has going for it are 1- looks: the elite 2.0 blue just isn’t doing it for me 2- and quality/quality control: hasbro has been really dropping the ball lately on these new dart blasters, especially with the inconsistent dart seals

All hasbro needs to do, is make a 200 FPS blaster that costs at most $100, and that will save them. If it’s a stock 200 FPS blaster, and if hasbro can do this, then they will be relevant again!
just got a villinator...it's a beast. Adventure Force is killing it lately...I also just picked up a 2nd Nexus Pro...that thing is in a league of its own.
My villianator has the same dart fit as he got. Some darts are tight and some are so loose they just fall out if you point the blaster down. The performance is good but the dart fit makes it a slight disappointment.

The orange Elite darts that came with the Elite 2.0 Volt aren't too bad. The Blue are terrible. Must be something in that color foam. ZombieStrike darts for example are thicker and heavier and shoot pretty well. Maybe it's the green foam they sourced. But yeah let's give them twice the amount Wow mom!. uh none of them work lol

It recently occurred to me, that if Hasbro and Nerf want to save costs wherever they can, why not get rid of all those electronic locks? They're more prone to malfunctioning and likely costs way more per unit than anything they've already omitted.
Villianator looks like a junk toy. NERF Elite 2.0 or just about any of their products superior product styling. But The Villianator toy outperforms what's supposed to be a better blaster company. I like the NERF Elite 2.0 Volt a lot. I feel the need to take a chance on the NERF Elite 2.0 Warden despite people's horrible experiences with slam fire. I should really track down a used Roughcut. I'll most likely buy Villianator that comes with 40 waffle head darts (I was going to buy a pack anyway so hopefully they hold up) vs double the Elite 2.0 two color darts which is still less than Villianator. So yeah besides looks. Villianator!
@@A-G-F- Elite 2.0 looks much better in person than photos or videos imho At first I didn't like the tourquoise color (optic orange is the default and thankfully that all manufacturers are required to use a color that one looks good with anything). I'm especially talking about the NERF detailing when I say product styling. they just make products that look better in that regard. The industrial and graphic designers at Hasbro very good. I'm a grpahic designer myself who frrelanced for Huffy Bikes and know illustrators that worked on NERF pacakging in the past so I'm biased. edit: sorry about the sloppy typing

The third rail is NOT in a useless place. It’s PERFECT for a bipod. Edit: The bipod is to stabilize the blaster when sniping (how else would you get that 9000m shot?)
Once again: love the aesthetic. The color and shell design is my jam. Hate the entire line seems like a massive step back combined with a desire to annoy the modding community, between the clipped/solvent-welded shells and the completely encased internals, it just feels like they're trying to discourage modifications.
He is also considered a deception commander. In some continuities, hes THE commander, and Megatron is a renegade. Most of the time hes just a high ranking sycophant, though.
I kinda like how there is the rail below the drum because you could put a dart caddy there to quick load into the drum, too bad this wasn’t a good blaster.

I think you can put the dart ammo rails/storage that comes with the Barrel Break or Battlecamo Firestrike. Other than that...flashlight? But those are pitifully weak. Maybe Tri-Strike missile launcher? Or Some of the smaller Modulus pistols? The Battlescout's camera? But that thing sucks....Maybe bi-pod or Stampede shield? Kinda pointless though....
Even if that's the case, Dart Zone has released nothing but hits during the same time frame. When a much smaller company can release much better products than you especially during a global pandemic, then what does that say about Nerf and by extension Hasbro?

I picked up my Shockwave 2 weeks ago, and my dart barrels were also uneven all around. Seems like everyone's copy has this design. Mine didn't take Adventure Force waffles very well compared to elites. And the barrel was also finnicky on attachment as well depending on what's attached.
I thought of the same thing, when I heard of the name Shockwave I just imagined having a paint job for the blaster with silver scuff on purple & black with a bright candy apple red coat on the barrel \m/
I'll flick darts using a shook proof ruler and outgun any 2.0. Now this is interesting, I found rayvenfires and bought 2, at Smyths Toys here in UK. They've got loads in at the moment near me, mine work really well, 30 UK bucks each tho. My prayers for Rayvens were answered!

Also side note-I think the reason they removed slamfire in the shockwave opposed to the surgefire is because of how frequently the surgefire slipped n skipped barrles when slamfiring.
Since I just checked out of curiosity, the old Surgefire is still available from a number of online sellers at the same price point as this ... thing, if you like the look of this but don't like getting ripped off. Or, you know, the Villainator is probably sitting next to this thing on store shelves with 25 more darts per drum, better performance, and slam fire, all while costing $5 less.
I have a theory that Elite 2.0 is just a cash grab to replace the money they lost from ultra. So they spent hardly any money on them to just get some quick cash. By the way ultra shoots awesome in the Nexus Pro.
Shockwave is a commander depending on which universe you look at. For example, in the Aligned continuity Sockwave was the head scientist and one of the two lieutenants in the Decepticon Asked forces

I picked up a dart zone magnum superdrum blaster for 2 bucks at a yard sale the other day, has slam fire and consistently gets 80 fps even though it's 2 years old. Oh and 40 darts with consistent fit
This feels like its sole purpose was to let hasbro keep the trademark on the name "shockwave" so that they could continue to use it later on for the transformers line, just in case the character doesn't make an appearance in a toyline or other piece of media.
Used this at Nerf Action Xperience in SG and half of the time the darts didn't even fire out of the gun, then for another game they let us use the surgefire and it was beautiful.
As with all of these, I love the shells but the internals just makes me sad. I'll wait till I find some in the bargain bins and goodwills and gut em and shove their far better Elite 1.0 versions inside of em... if I can. Give me a reason to perfect removing solvent weld I guess.

When drac's review of your blaster is basically an advertisement for another brand's product.

As with all of these, I love the shells but the internals just makes me sad. I'll wait till I find some in the bargain bins and goodwills and gut em and shove their far better Elite 1.0 versions inside of em... if I can. Give me a reason to perfect removing solvent weld I guess.

I own a surgefire and it works just fine the only reason I'd buy the Shockwave is for the fact it has a stock attachment point
