Y’all boys is rough on missing a show. I guarantee there are lot of others that didn’t make it too! First night back, up against the best…. Y’all did fine!
I think Joshua summed it up perfectly. They are at a HP disadvantage and are doing all they can. On a hammer down track, you need motor. I think it shows how great of a driver Jojo is. He gets everything there is to get out of that car.
I wish more people would understand there Draime is down on hp
I knew when he was 6th in hot-laps it was only get worse once the slime went away the track griped up. Basically everyone there has high dollar Clements, Cornet or Durham engines and the Economical and durable Draime can’t hang when its so griped up and fast… still was fast just couldn’t exit 4. They’ll get um tonight hopefully.
Absolutely an amazing team/ driver but only so much you can do without the extra HP that the big boys have.
Make
The #10 fluorescent Red. It’s washed out against the white! White black fluorescent Red is the best color combo on dirt
I suggested chrome gold, but your idea sounds good too.
@@voodoo7008 the chrome is sharp but it’s basically a mirror. Make that 10 stand out. I dig the white. This yr but that combo needs a touch of fluorescent red

I do iRacing, and paint my own cars. The trick to it all, is colorful contrast.
There’s prism gold. Less mirror.
The two things the competition doesn't want to see. A pissed off Scott bloomquist or a dejected Joseph Joiner behind them!!!!! Go get em Fireball!!!!

The way I look at it is that this was just a test session for you guys and there's nothing to hang your head down about!! You guys will get in to the nights show!! Great job!!

This is a perfect example of why they want two SUPERS! He can pick the car needed for the track. Unfortunately he needed the horsepower car that he didn’t have. I’m still proud of you! Drove it like you stole it! Lol just have fun ,be safe and God bless
You are exactly right. The 850 hp Draime is for slick tracks. Tonight’s track was tacky and could handle all the hp you could throw at it. Is their SB2 getting freshened up or did the get rid of it?
@@WindRider1 when Joshua said something about having that motor it sounded like they're having a 2nd motor worked on for high horsepower. Also something Jonathan said a coupla videos ago alluded to the same.

I think for the first race of a full season with Lucas Oil Series, you did really good. You didn't tear up the car, didn't LOOSE any spots in the heat or b-main. And you ALMOST made it to the feature with the big boys. That's saying a lot. Good luck with the next nights of racing.

Motor sounded flat to me. More spark advance? The car itself looked like it handled pretty well. I don't think the motor could pull my brother out of the bar if you get my drift.

Joseph drove the car well, he had a great line in the "B". The car looked really fast at the end and he was reeling in the second place car. These are positives to grow on, fix the car and go back and do better. Love what you guys are doing, God bless.

Problem was it wasn’t dry slick. It was tacky as molasses. Need 2 cars. One big motor and one Draime.

I used to race late models on this track when it was asphalt. My best friends dad raced there from the 1950s to the mid 2000s running open wheel modified. Allot of history there

The car is much easier to spot on the track with the new color scheme.
However the number needs more contrast. Bolder outline around the number maybe.
The number completely disappears on the backstretch.
Yes it does suck to miss by one spot but look at the bright side first night out tough field and trying to work on the car and dial it in on the little time you had. I think it could have been alot worse. Keep your heads up You guys are a awesome team and will have plenty of great night's. thanks for the awesome content.

First night out of the year… WITH THR BIG DOGS! I wouldn’t be disappointed not one bit.. if this is how good of an opening night and opening season y’all have… just imagine another 2or3 races with them big boys.. who knows might (if not already) be turning some heads

Did you hear him say in the patreon live stream that it's making just over 800 while the other teams are making well north of 900. And it seams like when these big series go to the track the owner tries to keep it hammer down all night till the feature.
@@tomsherwood1819 Yes I'm acutely aware that top dogs produce over 900hp. I'm also acutely aware there motor produces lack luster hp numbers. And I have known about there lack of power since they bought the Draime and it being built in 2008 with 2008 technology And you say "the owner tries to keep it hammer down all night till the feature" what's the problem with that ? ahhh I know it puts HTF at a disadvantage It's all a conspiracy against them right? .....And you might think about your assumptions that everyone has Patreon I don't there for I can't know about there statement.

Not a bad first race of the season when everyone else has 3-4 races under their belt. Most importantly, the car is still in one piece and looking good. Keep your collective chins up!!! I really like the looks of this year's car, although my preference would be for solid Coca-Cola red numbers. You guys are racing the best of the best this year and it isn't going to be the least bit easy. NEVER give up!!! Keep on grinding!!! Cheering you guys on all season long!!!

Things will get better. New car = new challenges. You know it might be me but I have always said there is only so fast a race car can go around any given track without flying off of it. So the way I see it is if you have to let off the throttle in the corners then you have enough power. I think the rear end gear and down force has more to do with it.. I wouldn't say this if it was a large track.Over all I think you guys did great.Especially with a new car. Great video !! Thanks for letting us watch.
