    broooo i kid you not, i just changed my spark plugs on my 2007 ARC two days ago. It's like a brand new car again. Quick question, do you reset your ECM to gain performance after a certain time? Thanks for sticking to the SAAB community forums. You've been a huge help over the years.

    After MapTun S2 last year, just got new DIC, its 3rd replacement in 23 yrs. No codes, but it was showing early signs of misfires. So we did it b/c I didn't want to get stranded, also b/c my inspection is due soon. Anyway, old DIC was 6 y.o. aftermarket, new one's OEM, SPs are NGK, and all's well w/my 9-3 again.

    That spark plug manufacturer and others say it isn’t necessary to apply grease and can actually impair certain engine functions. To grease, or not to grease, that is the question??

      NGK says not to unless you loosen them once.

    Hey guys Monday i brought my Saab to the garage for a oil service yesterday the sid showed the oil pressure for a second. Every time with cold start today i went to the garage and they put in al little bit oil extra tomorrow i am going to take a look at it again and i hope the code is gone because the weird thing is that it does not stay on so that is okay and it also does not pop up while driving only with a cold start. I dont think it is a bad sensor but a sensitive one. Before the oil change there was no problem at all it only happens when i put i on ON and let the shit check and the when i turn the key it pops up for like a second or less and goes of immediately. I will make sure that there is not too much oil in the car because that's bad for the engine.

    How does your car stay on full boost? I’m on stage 2 and it my turbo gauge ends up going to half . Any reasons why?

      Check boost control solenoid, or check if the pipe in the bumper that connects to your airbox came loose

    I am wondering if I should get a tune-up on my 2008 low mileage 9-3. It runs fine. Saab didn’t recommend a “major service” until 65k miles. I have 49k miles. Guess it wouldn’t hurt to have it done except in my wallet. 😆

    • @DrBaronMunchausen
      @DrBaronMunchausen Рік тому

      I replaced mine at 65k and they were way overdue when I took them out. Car became more responsive. I would suggest you get them replaced every 50k miles.

    My Saab is already tuned it has around 200hp and 280nm should i tune it a little bit more. Before i want to do that i want to change the exhaust not all the way and spark plugs, a cold air intake stuff like that what would yall recommend save up some money and try to do as much as possible by yourself or let a professional handle it? I think it is way more fun doing it yourself but i could be wrong especially the exhaust can be difficult.

    Hey, I have a 2006 Saab 9-3 with the 2.8t engine. I have a stage 1 tune and straight pipe. The car started misfiring under boost on low/mid RPM. I'm thinking it's the coils and maybe I should regap my spark plugs as well. What do you think? And what is the cheapest place to get coils? Right now i'm looking at 79 dollars PER coil and that is a bit expensive.
