@@sitanathmajumder3453 My research points to fish and shellfish and red meat but also stress and alcohol consumption. Fish and shellfish contain liver flukes. The irritation and scarring from a liver fluke infection leads to bile duct cancer. DO NOT eat fish or meat! Low stress lifestyle, two liters of water per day, very limited alcohol use. Everyone should be consuming a plant based diet.

I am very story. I was diagnosed Mar 1, had chemo and lots of infections (plus a hematoma the size of a brick of butter) and half way through chemo (again major delays between rounds 1 and 2 and 3) it started growing. By Oct 30 it was growing and Nov 2 I was told I am out of the transplant protocol. The location is in the "Y" and it is growing into the liver towards my back.
Chemo didn't bother me much and I've managed to put on weight in spite of chemo. Since Oct I haven't had anything done. I was placed in care of the oncology team and it's now palliative care. It's concerning because the EUS and Spyglass didn't yield confirmation of malignancy and yet they hope to treat it with chemo.
I honestly don't know what to expect, beyond metastasis to another organ. But if that doesn't happen and my stents keep holding up.. I hate unknowns. I want to know what to expect so I can plan to tell my kids. Tell them too soon and you make them worry and they will see you for months or years (in some cases).
The unknowns are the issue. I'm having anxiety and all the oncology folks say is "it's different for everyone" and I'm at the best in Canada for cancer.
I hope your sister's suffering is minimal and I am very sorry for your pain and suffering.
Thank you for sharing and I am sorry I am complaining here. I don't want to upset my family on my last (most likely following statistics) visit to see them. I dread telling the kids. I have so much I want for them, improvements that I somehow didn't teach them before I managed to get sick. That's what bothers me the most ahead of the unknowns, not being able to go in peace because I know my kids and wife will have struggles and it's my fault for not catching these and fixing these problems sooner!
Again sorry for making this about me, it shouldn't be. I need to get ahold of my counsellor from the cancer agency. I want to be strong and help my family (wife, kids, parents, siblings, cousins etc..) through this. I am not afraid for me, though I like knowing what lays ahead. I am afraid for them all. I am afraid of them feeling sad and them struggling. That isn't fair for them! I should take on that burden myself.
I really hope you find peace and your sister finds peace.

@@tonis.4002 Thank you. It turns out between August and October, my tumour grew but has been stable since October. Very strange according to my oncologist.
I am still trying to get my family in a great place. I want them to thrive not survive.
I'm feeling well, cycling even sometimes, lots of walking too. My attitude is to make fun out of things, to laugh at my problems rather than feel down about them.
I appreciate your words. My mom said something similar to me when I told her I didn't want her to see me fade away. She was NOT happy. She said "and if it was your child? You'd want to be there wouldn't you?" and that look of "you butthead" was loud and clear.
I'm still pushing to keep healthy. No treatments since October. Just tests to see if they could still transplant. I am just really lucky! VERY lucky. Or I am getting my time required to get my family strong and thriving.
Mothers can be smart, she said "You are not dying until you get your family where you want them? Plan on living to 150 do you?" And she's right. They will survive but again, I want to keep trying and keep working with them. I see improvements which is great.
They are fine without me but I'd prefer they are happy and doing great. I want my family (all of them) to be laughing when they remember me. I want smiles!
Hang in there for your mom. Each person's struggle is different. Lean on one another. I had to do that sometimes with my wife. It actually helps her too, helps her feel important, just like when she leans on me.
Amazing how this disease teaches me to appreciate little things like birds and to learn to lean on people sometimes.

I was diagnosed at the age of 34, no symptoms at all. Just slightly high liver values. Scan revealed there is something that does not belong to the liver. Biopsy then showed it was a malignant metasis on the liver - intrahepatic CCC.
That’s been 22 months from now and next week I will receive 5th line therapy with FOLFIRI after Cisplatin/Gemcitabin, Durvalumab, Pemigatinib and FOLFOX.
Sadly the cancer spread to my lungs, a rip and the spleen.
    This cancer is very aggressive…
My prayers to all of you who fight along with me!-

It was so shocking to have my wife diagnosed of colon cancer and some researches said it is caused by smoking and she has never smoked all her life, this gave us so much concerns and the most saddest part of it was that there is no known cure for it. There was really no notable symptoms at the beginning not until she began to cough which got worse everyday and soon enough she was finding it more difficult to talk or breath properly. We tried several treatment for a better condition but all proved abortive, all the doctor's said cancer couldn't be cured until we heard about a particular traditional doctor called Dr Uduro who cures Cancer with natural herbal remedies completely. We contacted doctor with his email druduroagbodidiherbalhome@gmail.com and we were given instructions to get the medicine which we got after a few days through the courier delivery company. She was told to take the remedy for one month but just within a few weeks of using it she experienced a total balance in her health, all the symptoms like coughing, breathing and sleeping problems and other emotional troubles was all gone. We went for a checkup after an appointment the sixth week and our doctor was surprised and said the tumor is no longer there. I don't know how to explain this but I believe it's a miracle, nature is life I'm glad it helped my wife win the war against Cancer. I implore anyone with any type of cancer should contact him via his email above or whatsapp him on +2347049441765 and also be free like me.

My dad is gonna die from it probably within a week from now. He had a mild stroke in early July 2022 and basically totally recovered. Then in September had a worse one that affected some parts of his memory and slowed his walking down. About a week after the 2nd stroke blood work showed super high liver enzymes and a CT scan showed a liver tumor (not an alcoholic or anything like that)
They took him off blood thinners so they could do the biopsy and then he had a much larger stroke that put him in the ICU with his right side paralyzed. I was worried it would happen when he went off the blood thinners. They did end up doing the biopsy though at least
Now it's 4 days after the 3rd stroke and he's going into Hospice. He so thin and had been feeling much more tired in the few weeks between the 2nd and 3rd stroke. So we pretty much knew he didn't have much time left
All I can say is at least it went fast and he never experienced much pain. And he would not have wanted to be paralyzed and have his brain scrambled the way it is right now and live years and years like that. So the fact that this cancer is killing him so quickly is a blessing in some ways.
He's 72 and will never have to deal with dementia and I know that was always his biggest worry about aging so I'm glad about that
Edit: he did have random hiccups for the past year or so and had lost weight. But he had gone on the keto diet and had lost weight from that also. So the weight loss all kind of blended together. until he got really thin in the past 4 months or so
Long story short: the cancer caused 3 strokes in less than 4 months. And the cancer is going to kill him 3 weeks after the blood work and CT scan showed the tumor

Hi. I was recently diagnosed with a dilated bile duct. I’ve had a history of things that could have possibly contributed to it. I’ve for the most part of my life taken pretty good care of myself. I have been going to get CT and MRI but there’s no stones. I have a healthy liver, gallbladder, etc. I am going to go in for a cholesystectomy (where they send a camera through the bile ducts under general anesthesia.) Is there a chance I just have a dilated bile duct? What’s dilated? My doctor said it’s around 10mm or something like that. I’m terrified it might be cancer. If it is, hopefully it’s in the early stages. I’m 44. I think I’m going to go for a second opinion. Since this is something that can be easily missed or misread. Thanks!!

I have just recently been diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma or Bile duct cancer. This can be resected depending on the location and type.
In my case this is not an option as I have cirrhosis as well.
I am in a constant state of exhaustion and just recently had to stop working.
Been evaluated by two large respected transplant centers and praying one of them will accept me.
There is a protocol that is and has shown success with a 5 yr. Survival rate of 90%.
That is what I’m striving for.
