Hebrews 4:12 confirms a division of our parts as it refers to the word of God...dividing between spirit, soul, and body. I have an analogy, it's not biblical, but to me, that verse confirms that even we have at least three parts that are unique to our identity and God's word can move between them. Here’s a string of questions that start with “am I”. …merely flesh with an identifiable appearance? …my mind? …my soul? …my spirit? …my thoughts? …my will? …my conscience? …my subconscious? …my morality? Excluding the flesh, none of those things can be seen or proven to exist, by any standards known to man. And, yet, while living, all of those things are uniquely united to make up any one human identity. If you’ve ever had a close friend finish your sentences it's because they've come to identify invisible attributes of your personality through relationship. Considering the Almighty and Eternal God in which all things have been made, I'm not certain any of us can fully understand His persons well enough to limit it to measurable dimensions any more than we can fully understand the dimensions of our own being. I can see where you’re going with this. Some of what you say is true, others seem off. Jesus never came to destroy the commandments, as he mentions throughout the gospels, but to ensure that we follow it and understand it. If I had to explain the Trinity or Threeness I would say that God is one personage with 3 components each fulfilling different roles. One, The Father who seems to be in authority. Two, the son who is the exact representation of God who has subjected himself to the Father's authority and 3 The Holy Spirit which is the part of God that gets things accomplished.
If we understand Jesus' statement "I and the Father are one" in John 10:30 to mean that Jesus is God himself, that would seem to contradict John 14:28, where Jesus says, "The Father is greater than I am." It would also seem to contradict John 20:17, where Jesus tells Mary, "I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God." Jesus was talking about his unity of purpose with God the Father. This unity of purpose extended to his followers. In John 17:22, Jesus prayed to God saying, "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one." Obviously, Jesus did not mean that his followers were of the same essence or substance with God.
My Christian friends, if anyone says 1+1+1=3 so trinity is false, then tell them this: Let 1 God be x Let 1 person within God be y x+x+x=3x makes 3 Gods which is what you think we Christians believe. Remember that the Holy Spirit was in Jesus His entire time on earth and that it was the Holy Spirit that came upon Mary. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God because God is Holy. Your analogy does not apply. Because these are basically descriptions or statuses that apply to you, taking from or adding to them won't change your person being. But in the Trinity or godhead concept, when any part is taken out from it, meaning removed, it isn't Trinity or godhead anymore.

I like to use water to explain the Godhead/trinity three are one. H20 has three states liquid, solid, gas but are one essence of H20/water likewise so the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost are in one essence of God.
Great explanation of a subject that our finite minds cannot fully comprehend. When Jesus said things like, "I and the Father are One", then said "No one is good but the Father", here is an unusual way to look at that. It is kind of like the TV show Undercover Boss. The man is actually the boss but he stepped down to fulfill a purpose, which in this case is to observe employees behavior. The purpose of God was to redeem mankind because no sacrifice was acceptable except the one He could provide Himself. When Jesus took on the role of a man and said no one is good except the Father, He was in a sense talking about His own existence too. Like if the undercover boss was talking about the head of the company while he was temporarily working as a low ranking laborer. Same person. Not Biblical, just another way of looking at it.

As a woman, I am one person with different functions. I am a wife, mother and homemaker. Each function is completely different yet I am one person. This is how I look at God. God is the Great Planner, Jesus is the way God executes His plan and the Holy Spirit is the Sealer, the teacher, the comforter and the part of God that dwells within believers. I just think Yahweh is amazing and He developed the perfect plan.

I can see where you’re going with this. Some of what you say is true, others seem off. If I had to explain the Trinity or Threeness I would say that God is one personage with 3 components each fulfilling different roles. One, The Father who seems to be in authority. Two, the son who is the exact representation of God who has subjected himself to the Father's authority and 3 The Holy Spirit which is the part of God that gets things accomplished.

When you read the teachings of Jesus you would see that many times He spoke in the third person about Himself. That is one way Jesus remained humble by doing this. The men that made the trinity doctrine were confused men not reading the scripture where it says that the Carnal man could not understand nor receive the things of God because they are SPIRITUALLY discerned. Your analogy does not apply. Because these are basically descriptions or statuses that apply to you, taking from or adding to them won't change your person being. But in the Trinity or godhead concept, when any part is taken out from it, meaning removed, it isn't Trinity or godhead anymore.

I like to use water to explain the Godhead/trinity three are one. H20 has three states liquid, solid, gas but are one essence of H20/water likewise so the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost are in one essence of God.
Great explanation of a subject that our finite minds cannot fully comprehend. When Jesus said things like, "I and the Father are One", then said "No one is good but the Father", here is an unusual way to look at that. It is kind of like the TV show Undercover Boss. The man is actually the boss but he stepped down to fulfill a purpose, which in this case is to observe employees behavior. The purpose of God was to redeem mankind because no sacrifice was acceptable except the one He could provide Himself. When Jesus took on the role of a man and said no one is good except the Father, He was in a sense talking about His own existence too. Like if the undercover boss was talking about the head of the company while he was temporarily working as a low ranking laborer. Same person. Not Biblical, just another way of looking at it.

As a woman, I am one person with different functions. I am a wife, mother and homemaker. Each function is completely different yet I am one person. This is how I look at God. God is the Great Planner, Jesus is the way God executes His plan and the Holy Spirit is the Sealer, the teacher, the comforter and the part of God that dwells within believers. I just think Yahweh is amazing and He developed the perfect plan.

Although the vast majority of Christians believe in the 'Trinity', it is not a scriptural term. The best term is 'the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Christ' from Colossians. God is one, but there are three persons in that Godhead. They are one is every way with absolutely 'no' discord.

to uses the example of ones work, and position in a family is one person in several roles....I am not sure this is what the trinit is all about....because there is a cross reference...the son, praying to the father....for example...
Our puny human perspective and intellect compared to God makes it impossible to define Him. This IS the correct answer to the question. God cannot be explained by man. Perhaps we will understand on the other side of eternity, but we cannot fully grasp the Trinity from this side.

It’s a symbol to describe that God has given Jesus all his power and glory it’s not literally speaking of the right hand of God because God him self is a spirit no one can see a spirt. God him self took the form of a human in Jesus Christ and when he died and resurrected God stayed in that glorified body. The reason why Jesus talks like if there were two it’s because he makes a difference between his flesh his humanity and the one and only powerful God in him. 1 Timothy 3:16 Isaiah 45:15 Referring to Jesus. Many people, including some Christians, find it difficult to comprehend the doctrine of the Trinity.
In my opinion, the closest example of the doctrine of the Trinity is what happens in a Democracy.
In a democracy, ONE government is made up of 3 branches, namely the Executive (President) , Judiciary and Legislature. Each branch has a specific role but they all constitute ONE government, not THREE
