The acting in this movie is top shelf stuff omg it still gets me. Cant wait for the 2nd part its crazy.
The character played by Al Pacino, "John Milton" is the name of the author of the 17th century poem, "Paradise Lost," which has characters Adam, Eve, Lucifer and God, and is about the fall from Grace of humanity. Another thing that's interesting, is all the demonic characters in this movie are smokers! This is a great movie with amazing performances, though Keanu does a pretty bad American southern accent... Funny enough, Charlize Theron does an amazing American southern accent, and while she's from the South, it's not America, but South Africa. 🙂

If you want to see a nearly identical movie but with Tom Cruise, watch The Firm. The only difference is a lack of the super natural. It's a good movie with a great foot chase. Small-town lawyer is recruited by a firm in a city for nefarious reasons. He's tempted with a giant salary and a great home, and the boss and the wife have issues.
One of my favorites. I enjoyed seeing you enjoy it. The song at the end is "Paint it Black" by the Stones. It is about soldiers coming back from Vietnam to the US.

yea I havent seen this wild and engrossing film in years, I m anxious to see when the Michelle & Ellie discover who AL is portraying lol HE's always so intense and this really fit that kind of acting

"After the film's initial release, sculptor Frederick Hart sued Warner Bros. claiming that a large sculpture prominently featured in the film (on the wall of Al Pacino's penthouse apartment) is an unauthorized copy of his work "Ex Nihilo", displayed at the entrance of Washington's Episcopal National Cathedral. According to a court settlement reached in February 1998, Warner has been authorized to release an initial run of 475,000 copies of the video of the film for rental, but will have to remove or re-edit over 20 minutes of scenes where the sculpture can be seen before releasing any further video or television versions."
